NOTES FOR EARTHWORK ITEMS:
No working space shall be considered beyond the width of the foundation concrete (mud-mat) shown in the drawings. The contractor shall consider working space if required while quoting the rate. The quoted rate shall include the quantity of earthwork to be done for working space if required and also for re-filling the foundation. For payment, the measurement shall be restricted only to the foundation width shown in the drawings. No extra shall be permitted and measured for payment on account of working space / battering / benching for excavation and refilling around foundation. Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator) / manual means OVER AREAS (exceeding 30cm in depth, 1.50m width as well as 10sqm on plan) in ALL KINDS OF SOILS up to a depth not exceeding 1.50m including disposal of excavated earth, lead up to 50m and lift up to 1.50m etc., complete all as per specifications. DRESSING: Stone shall be hammer dressed on the face, the sides and the beds, to enable it to come into close proximity with the neighbouring stone. The bushing in the face shall not project more than 4cm on an exposed face and 1cm on a face, to be plastered. The hammer dressed stone shall also have a rough tooling for a minimum width of 2.5cm along the 4 edges of the face of stone. Quoins: Neatly dressed with the hammer or chisel to form the required angle and laid header and stretcher alternately. Theses stones shall have a minimum of 2.5cm wide chisel draft at 4 edges, all the edges being in the same plane.
