| 1.00Rendering housekeeping services in the buildings located in the Academic, Hostel, and Residential Zones at IIT Madras (Main Campus). The housekeeping services shall be carried as per the terms and condition stipulated in the eligibility documents, technical, financial bids, the technical presentation accepted by IITM, and the minutes of the pre-bid meeting, corrigendum etc. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of GST, all labour, materials, equipment charges, bonus (yearly once or actual, if less than one year service along with August month's salary) to workers (minimum 8.33% of wages (Basic pay + DA)), PF and ESI or medical health insurance (minimum Rs5.00 lakhs family floater health insurance preferably Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) or equivalent schemes, if not covered under ESI), transportation charges and overheads etc. The minimum wages shall be as prescribed by Central / State Govt whichever is higher and as per the orders and wages fixed by the Central Labour Commissioner, Government of India of relevant category. | 4.00 | Labour charges towards forest cleaning including collection of solid waste, on site segregation of recyclable / reusable waste, disposal of non-reusable/ reusable waste to the designated place inside IITM campus. The scope of solid waste cleaning shall include garbage such as plastic bags, bottles, glass pieces, broken furnitures, tyres, coconut shells, tins, metal pieces, iron scraps, broken wooden pieces, broken electronic goods, cables, wires, tube lights, bulbs, electrical fixtures, mattresses, cloths, papers and any other foreign materials, food waste from messes, residents, commercial establishments and left out old cycles from hostels / other area etc. The solid waste like construction debris, bio-medical wastes and other hazardous wastes will be disposed by IIT Madras separately.
The rate quoted shall be inclusive of all labours, tools & tackles, materials like gunny bags, safety and Personnel protective equipements and all other overheads, etc., complete.
The contractor shall engage a minimum of 7 labours and one supervisor per day exclusive of Sundays and national holidays. The contractor shall keep necessary additional manpower for compensating the weekly off. If required contractor shall engage additional manpower as and when required to keep the "IITM campus litter free zone". The rate quoted shall be inclusive of segregation, transportation/ intercarting charges for the collected waste. Before start of work, necessary documentary proof shall be submitted to IIT Madras for approval. A minimum of 450 nos of bio bins to be handled and made available at any point at each restroom block. The bin should be cleared / replaced at a frequency of at least weekly once or whenever it gets filled.
