ReQUOTATIONS for Waterproofing works

NOTES (to be carefully read and considered before filling in the rates) All items mentioned below are inclusive but not limited to providing and supplying material, labour with toold, tackles and plant and machinery (if required) for preparation of the surface, laying, fabricating, placing it in position, fixing, finishing and protecting the surface prior to the next step of the works including all leads and lifts etc. complete. Below mentioned items are "generic" in nature and should be considered as a guideline for this specialized works. This is being specifically mentioned because each manufacturer will have a different methodology of working and application process. In the Technical Bid, the bidder should attach a separate sheet which explains the below items of works in details with the proposed specifications, methodology as well as the application process in complete considering the variety in products. It is assumed and all bidders should strictly visit the site and get the now-how of the site conditions before quoting the item rates.

Surface preparation: Inspect the surface available at site, prepare the surface as per the guidance and directions of the manufacturer for the required surface of application.

RAFT/ footing and ALLIED AREAS - Supplying and installing of minimum 1.2 mm thick pre-applied HDPE membrane having puncture resistance of minimum 800N as per ASTM E 154, tensile strength of minimum 21 Mpa, and hydrostatic head resistance not less than 70 m water head as per ASTM D 5385 and elongation of minimum 500% as per ASTM D 412, peel adhesion to concrete of minimum 1200 N/m as per ASTM D 903, Lap peel adhesion > 450N/m as per ASTM D1876. The pre-applied, fully bonded HDPE sheetmembrane shall be loosely laid on PCC and gets bonded to the underneath of the poured concrete of base/ raft slab and confined retaining wall. incuding application for embeded anchore bar at footing whereever applicable

RETAINING WALL: Treatment of all concrete defects Opening the joints/cracks such as cold joints, tie-rod holes, construction joints, cracks, corner joints and areas around honeycomb in the RCC by forming appropriately shaped groove and thereafter providing and sealing with polymer modified mortar complete as per manufacturer’s instructions. Membrane: Providing and laying of minimum 1.5 mm thick self-adhesive, cold applied waterproofing membrane comprising of a self-adhesive rubberized asphalt with cross laminated HDPE film topped with solar reflective film, SmartCare Self Adhesive SBS Membrane with HDPE lining or approved equivalent, confirming to the requirements of DIN EN 1849-1 for thickness with a puncture resistance of >220 N/cm as per ASTM D5147, puncture resistance of 200N as per ASTM E 154, providing ancillary products and finish complete including cleaning the surface, priming the surface with cold applied bituminous primer. The membrane should be sealed properly at joints and maintaining minimum 150 mm overlap between the membrane selvedge and minimum 200 mm overlap on the end joints s of the membrane over the surface, Including scaffolding etc., complete as per manufacturers specification.

Providing and laying high density polyethylene (HDPE) dimpled protection and drainage sheet; over the waterproofing membrane on the retaining walls. The protection and drainage sheet shall consist of dimpled HDPE sheet with fused on hydrophilic polypropylene geotextile; confirming to EN 13252, etc. complete as per manufacturer specifications.
