M&L for cutting the existing edges / joints of PCC slabs/rigid pavements by handheld cutter and chiselling, removing loosened material to a distance exc 200 Mtrs and not exc 250 Mtrs and depositing in depressions including levelling, cleaning of concrete surface with compressed air of all dust, dirt, greese, bitumen, loose materials etc depth exceeding 40mm and not exceeding 80mm and filing with epoxy resin morter comprising one part of epoxy resin and five parts of quartz sand mix No 10 by weight after appling epoxy resin primer (Tack coat) @ 0.32 Kg / Sqm including removal and cleaning of old sealing compound including bitumen filler pad 8to12mm thick to adjust joint and refilling of sealing compound grade 'B' not exceeding 30mm depth from all as specified to match evenly the adjoining surfaces of existing PCC slab complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for cutting,racking out existing ceiling compound from joints of rigid pavements included racking split out ceiling compound from edge at existing joints and removing the cacked out ceiling compound and other foreign material and forming joints up to 20 mm average width and up to 20mm average depth by hand held cutter and removing the debris and other foriegn material to a distance exceeding 50 mtr and not excedding 150 mtr depositing where directed by Engineer-in-Charge and cleaning the site and bottom of joints by compressed Air (Diesel Driven Compressor of suitable capacity). Preparing joints to receive polyurethane joint filling and primed with Rally prime - 190, sealed with Rallithane - 862, Polyurethane sealent with backup rod of suitable size as per manufacturer instructions .Note :- Marking taps to be utilised before pouring of PU if filling compound.PU compound filling tobe done by mechanical means or by applicator gun complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing joints to receive polyurethane joint filling and primed with Rally prime - 190, sealed with Rallithane - 862, Polyurethane sealent with backup rod of suitable size as per manufacturer insutructions complete all as specified and as directed. NOTES: Item No 1,2 & 3 (i) Making good edges shall be done with hand held cutters. (ii) Dia of backup rode shall be 20-25% more than the width of joints to ensure tight fit. (iii) Entire polyurithane joints filling shall be done with mechanical systems. (iv) At places if the mechanical appliances become impractical GE's permission in writing shall be obtained for carrying out the joints filling manualy (v) The work shall be got executed through the authorised applicator of the manucturer (vi) The unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include for any excess width of the joints formed during cutting made good by the contractor. (vii) Masking tape shall be used duting filling of PU joints to avoid over flowing of PU material and ensure joint finishes.

M&L for removal of Runway marking paint using high pressure water/ultra high pressure water vaccumising by using mechanical equipment. All debris/FOD removal in the process complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTES: (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized & qualified applicator (ii) Total Runway marking paint should be removed and the debris / water vacummed simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately. (iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway marking Removal should have E-in-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, SH3000. (iv) Runway marking paint debris should be in solid form when finally disposed. (v) In any emergency condition the machine should exit from the runway in less than 2 mins without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction test should be carried out before & after Runway marking paint removal operation. (vii) The surface of both concrete /bitumen (rigid/flexible) shall not get any kind of damages during the process of Runway marking paint removal nor to any adjoining areas, joint filling etc, damages made if any, shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost. (ix) Work will be carried out in phase manner as per availability of runways for maintenance.

M&L for Preparing of old / previously treated black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing loose durt / dust, loose particles etc and sweeping the surfaces with mechanical blower to remove all loose particles etc and applying evenley a coat of cold bituminous emulsion fast setting grade at 3.60 Kg/10 Sqm (increasing to 7.2 Kgs by adding water) by brushing uniformly bending surface complete all as specified and as directed. NOTE :- Emulsified bitumen shall be diluted with drinking water in proportion 60:40 (3:2) dilution shall be 100%. Water should be added to emulsion and emulsion should never be added to the water.

M& L for preparation and painting of lines, dashes, arrows and letters etc on old painted concrete surfaces of Runway / Airfield pavements not exceeding 10 cm width with adequate number of coats of acqua/water based white or golden yellow /black paint, for marking edges of paint straight in line by road marking machinery complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparation of old surfaces and applying two coats of white wash (including cleaning, brooming etc) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. .

M&L for Grass cutting (manually using bush cutter/ by machinery where ever required as directed by Engineer - In- Charge) on both sides of runway shoulders and as per reqired area of runway and disposing the cut vegetation exc 200 m but not exc 250 m distance away from the place, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. .
