Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work, where not included in the complete rate of RCC, including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position, binding, wastage, overlaps, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire etc. complete in all respect below plinth level. Note:- Reinforcement shall be measured in length including hooks, if any, separately for different diameters as actually used in work , excluding overlaps. Wastage, overlaps, couplings, welded joints, spacer bars, chairs, stays, hangers and annealed steel wire or other methods of binding & placing shall not be measured and cost of these items shall be deemed to be included in the rates for reinforcement. Providing and laying dry brick on edge flooring in required pattern with bricks of class designation 7.5 on a bed of 12 mm mud mortar, including filling joints with Jamuna sand, with common burnt clay non modular bricks.

Providing and laying PCC M-15 in foundation & floor using well graded stone aggregates complete as per drawing and technical 1500, 1700 and 2000 of MORT&H specifications.

Construction of Embankment CBR 8% with approved material obtained from borrow pits, including compensation of earth, with all leads and lifts, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of table 300-2, as per technical clause 305 of MORT&H specifications.

Providing and applying tack coat with penetration grade bitumen VG - 10 using bitumen pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous / granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom as per technical clause 503 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and laying 40mm bituminous concrete with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG -40 @ 5.4% per cent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 507 of per MORT&H specifications. Note: -(I) If bitumen required more than 5.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. II - Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS – 6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti – stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and nothing extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor. III - Where there is only BC on existing black top, cracks shall be sealed as MoRT&H specification 5th revision clause No. 3004.3, which may consists of (i) Fog seal/ or (ii) crack filling and or (iii) patch work repair as required at site in accordance with clause No. 3004.3.2, 3004.3.3 and 3004.2 of MoRT&H specification 5th revision respectively. Proper measurement and consumption shall be entered in MB for cracks sealed but no payment on this account shall be made as crack filling is incidental to work.

Providing and laying 25 mm/ 50 mm thick mastic asphalt wearing course with paving grade bitumen 85/25 or VG - 40 @ 10.2%, fine aggregates, course aggregates, lime filler @ 17.92% of total, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine-grained hard stone chipping at an approximate spacing of 10 cm centre to centre in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces is not less than 1DDC, protruding 1 mm to 4 mm over mastic surface, all complete as per clause 516 of MORT&H specifications (5th Revision, 2013)

Maintenance of Earthen Shoulder (filling with fresh soil) Making up loss of material/ irregularities on shoulder to the design level by adding fresh approved soil and compacting it with appropriate equipment as per technical clause 3003 of MORT&H specifications.

Providing and Laying Reinforced cement concrete pipe NP4/prestressed concrete pipe for culverts on first class bedding of granular material in single row including fixing collar with cement mortar 1 :2 but excluding excavation, protection works, backfilling, concrete and masonry works in head walls and parapets 1000 mm dia, as per clause 2900 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and laying of Filter media with granular materials/stone crushed aggregates satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2. of MoRT&H specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and Technical Specification

Construction of precast RCC railing of M-30 Grade, aggregate size not exceeding 12 mm, true to line and grade, tolerance of vertical RCC post not to exceed 1 in 500, centre to centre spacing between vertical post not to exceed 2000 mm, leaving adequate space between vertical post for expansion including reinforcement complete as per approved standard of MORT&H vide drawing no. SD/202 and MoRT&H specifications.

Drainage Spouts complete as per drawing no. SD/205 and MoRT&H specification clause 2705 with 6 meter long GI 100 mm dia drainage GI light grade pipe (For Bridges)

Provision of an Reinforced cement concrete crash barrier at the edges of the road, approaches to bridge structures and medians, constructed with M-20 grade concrete with HYSD reinforcement conforming to IRC:21 and dowel bars 25 mm dia, 450 mm long at expansion joints filled with pre-moulded asphalt filler board, keyed to the structure on which it is built and installed as per design given in the enclosure to MOST circular No. RW/NH -33022/1/94-DO Ill dated 24 June 1994 as per dimensions in the approved drawing and at locations directed by the Engineer, all as specified

Providing and laying boulders apron on river bed for protection against scour with stone boulders weighing not less than 40 kg each complete as per drawing and Technical specification. Boulder Laid Dry Without Wire Crates. Including excavation for trimming for preparation of bed.

Providing and laying Pitching on slopes laid over prepared filter media including boulder apron laid dry in front of toe of embankment complete as per drawing and Technical specifications

Providing and laying Filter material underneath pitching in slopes complete as per drawing and Technical specification. Includes Mazdoor required for trimming of slope to proper profile and preparation of bed.

Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling/ scarifying of existing bituminous crust, granular material and dismantling of culvertetc. have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled / Scarified material can be issued for use in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) on approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. The material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency . However , the reserve price is as given below:- a) Brick bats @ Rs. 400.00 per cum

Good Bricks @ Rs. 4.00 per each

Steel @ Rs. 20.00 per Kg. Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieve material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quoted less than the reserve price. Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR Items/MORT&H Items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR/MORT&H the unit and nomenclature given in HSR/MORT&H shall be applicable.
