Testing of earth resistance of any type of earth pit and writing of earth resistance value in existing board. Note:-The rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to be included for the followings:- (i) Visual inspection of earthing strips for corrosion, rust, tightening of joints, vegetation clearance, . (ii) The contractor has to arrange his own testing kit of suitable range for checking of earth resistence. (iii) Checking of earth countinuity upto equipment for any disconnection if found so it will be repired. (iv) Testing and submission of earth result and saperate register to be maintained for the same for record.

Material and labour for earthing with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25M deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5M below normal ground level connected to galvanised strip 32x6mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 03 of SSR Part I connected to earthing test point including excavation/ earth work in any type of strata, removal of surplus excavated material, GI pipe for watering and funnel, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 chamber with RCC 1:2:4 type B1 in cover slab without GI protection pipe including taking down but all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Labour only for maintenance of Chemical/conventional earth pits shown at site in the area of E&ITI, TS, IW School, signal section and Logistic Section in AGE E/M East. During the maintenance period the following works shall be carried out :- (i) Common Salt 5 Kg mixed with Potable water of 5 Litrs shall pour to each earth pits. (ii) Contractor shall test each eath pits and maiintain the register showing location where maitained and submitt the test result to engr-in-charge for record. (iii) Earthing whichever showing high resistance value is to be repaired and the same will be measured & paid saperately under relevent item. (iv) Cleaning of vegitation inside the pit and its surounding up to 1 feet Notes :- Common salt supply only shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items

Repairing , maintenance and recharging of old existing chemical earth pit by excavating 4.25 mtr depth and taking out earth plate,watering pipe, earth lead / strip protection pipe, earth pit with cover carefully and cleaning the same after removing sludge from the plate, srips & pipes, etc. and re connecting the same as it is by brazing the plate and strip, inluding connecting up the existing GI strip / Aluminium strip / copper strip by means of new nuts, bolts, check nuts, washers of galvanised iron to test point / equipment including connecting the dismantled existing serviceable water pipe line and bib taps of any size, funnel including testing and commissioning complete to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in Charge all as specified and as directed. Note:- (i)The rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to be included earth work, reconnection of existing servicable earth plate, earth strip, watering pipe, seating earth pit with cover, funnel, including new nuts, bolts, checknuts and washers as required and testing. (ii) Contractor shall be submitted the test result to engr-in-charge duly. (iii) Test result should be less than 1 ohms (iv) Unsv GI Pipes, GI Funnel with mesh, bib taps, Mixture of salt / Charcoal / MGSO4, chemical compound and Brazing,shall be measured and paid separtely under relevent items.

(iii) Test result should be less than 1 ohms (iv) Unsv GI Pipes, GI Funnel with mesh, bib taps, Mixture of salt / Charcoal, Brazing, shall be measured and paid separtely under relevent items.
