SPL REPAIRS TO ROAD / RESURFACING AND ALLIED WORKS AT DEPOT AREA, NCVD UNDER GE (NORTH) UDHAMPUR

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dirt and mud of water sunken surface in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth making good by appling tack coat on bituminous surface with cationic bitumen of VG-10 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre, putting in Pre-mixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of pot holes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a priming / tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving bitumen primer using paving bitumen VG-10 grade @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm (Design Mix) consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade (50-70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient, complete all as specified and as directed.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50-70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed. Note: Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each depression in patch over 50mm, shall also be carried out under this item.

Preparation of any type of road surfaces by scratching old spots, paints, trading oils greasy spots etc. and applying Thermo Plastic road marking paints as side, side lines of white/yellow colour of width upto 100mm conforming to Ministry of surface Transaport (MORTH) specification for the road and bridge work : 5th revision, over primer as per manufacturers instructions including glass beads (intermix) type I (most/BS6008A) and provision contained in IRC-35-1997, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Contractor shall have to furnish the detail that quantity minimum used per square meter is 5.00 Kg/Sqm.

Note for item No. 1 & 3 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 50.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.
