Preparing of floor including repair and cleaning of old concrete by way of washing, removing loose concrete, including levelling and curing the surface grinding or light vacuum contained shot blasting to expose the coarse aggregate, heavy oil or grease deposits should be removed by vacuum equipment complete all as specified and/ or as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Material and labour for cleaning the joints to remove all dust, dirt, oil & grease and the excessive laitance be removed by vacuum cleaning and filling dummy/ contraction/ expansion joint with Backer Rod so that the width to depth ratio of 1:1 to 1.5 :1 is achieved before applying sealant. Prime sealing slot surfaces with Primer No 20 using a clean dry brush. Sealant must be applied between 30 minutes and 02 hours after priming. Lay cold applied two component pitch free chemically cured PU Sealant Colpor 200PF at the designated joints over the Backer Rod. Colpor 200PF shall conform to BS 5212:1990 types N, F & FB with movement accomodation factor of 30% in butt joints and solid content of 96%. Colpor 200PF shall be resistant to fuel, oil and hydraulic fluid spillage. PU Sealant shall be allowed to cure for 12 - 16 hours at 35 Degree Celcius before accepting traffic.

Material and labour for Scratch coating with Fosroc Nitoflor SL3000 UT/ Tremco (Flowfresh, flowcrete)/ Sika or equivalent at a coverage rate of up to a nominal 1mm thickness; actual coverage rate will depend on concrete surface texture and porosity without any extra cost. This scratch coat is designed to prime and seal the floor, mixed and spread evenly by trowel. The scratch coat should be allowed to cure for 12-48 hours at 20 degree celcius before applying the top coat, complete all as specified and/or as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Providing and applying trowel applied heavy duty Cementitious polyurethane floor topping at 6 mm thickness using Fosroc Nitoflor RT 6000 UT a five-component product/ Tremco (flowcrete, Flowfresh - RT /Sika or equivalent). A forced-action rotary paddle mixer is recommended for mixing the product. Lightly textured finish makes the product ideal for both wet and dry processing environments giving slip resistance. Topping applied at 6mm thickness over scratch coat using a steel float while ensuring that enchorage grooves are fully wetted out with material. The cured product should be protected from other trades using Kraft paper or similar breathable material. The cured Polyurethane flooring shall exhibits the following minimum technical profiles and or as per relevant IS codes and standards of the make approved by GE :- Fire Resistance-Class 1 BS 476 Coefficient of Thermal Expansion :- 3.74x10 @05 Degree Celcius BS EN 1770 Abrasion Resistance :- 0.12g loss per 1000 cycles (ASTM D4060 (1 KG load using CS17 wheels). Compressive Strength 28D :- >50N/mm2 (BS 6319) Abrasion Resistance :- 0.12g loss per 1000 cycles (ASTM D4060 (1 KG load using CS17 wheels). ASTMD4060 Impact Resistance :- 23Nm (ASTMD2794) Water Absorption : 0.04% ASTMC413 Flexural Strength :- >13 N/mm2 (BS6319) Vapour Permeability :- 3g/m2/24 hrs. at 6mm thick (ASTM E 96) Tensile Strength :- >6 N/mm2 (BS 6319) Flexural Modulus :- 3.2GPa (ASTM C580) Bound Strength :- >2.5MPa (ASTMD4541) Temperature Resistance : (Minus) -30 Deg C to Plus (+) 100 Deg C at 6mm thickness. Anchorage grooves should be cut to a minimum of twice the thickness to be laid, upto a maximum of 10 mm and atleast equal in width to the thickness of material to be laid, at the edges, day joints, up-stands, drains, doorways and at regular points across the floor, and all debris removed work shall be executed by authorised Fosroc applicator and complete as per the instructions of manufacturer. Note Srl No 01, 02 & 03 : Resurfacing works of flooring shall be carried out as per manufacturer's instructions and work shall be got executed through authorised applicator of the manufacturer's only. A certificate to this effect shall be obtained from the manufacturer about authorised applicator and got approved from GE.
