REPAIR/ /MAINTENANCE OF LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM, AND REPAIR / MAINTENANCE TO CELLING FANS/EXHAUST FAN /WALL FAN /AIR CIRCULATOR FAN ETC AT AFAC UNDER AGE(I)(AF) COIMBATORE.

Amount

Dismantling, removing the existing disturbed/displaced Copper / Aluminium /GI strips of any sizes from the roof/wall of building, and keeping in a safe custody for taking credit or for re-using serviceable strips in the work complete all as specified and directed.

Fixing only serviceable Copper/Aluminium/GI strips of any size as retrieved from taking down item by straightening, removing the kinks along the length and refixing the same with and including new porcelain insulators/saddles/screws complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fix in repairs Aluminium strip of size 25 x 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:-Care should be taken by using all safety devices to ensure safety while working.

M&L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit / pipe or fixed to pole or any other indicated situation or for loop earthing complete of copper strip size 20x3 mm fixed by using and including suitable size of porcelain insulators in such a manner that strip can be separated from the wall.

M&L for earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawn in conduit / pipe or fixed to pole or any other indicated situation or for loop earthing complete of copper strip size 32x6 mm fixed by using and including suitable size of porcelain insulators in such a manner that strip can be separated from the wall.

Supply and fix in repairs Galvanished iron strip 32x6 mm with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Supply and fix in repairs Air Termination, single pointed Aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long including taking down old unserviceable air termination rod, all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repairs Test Point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25 mm long hexognal head screw.

M&L for demolition of existing earth chamber including removing the demolished material to the distance not exceeding 50 mtr and deposited where directed at a level not exceeding 1.50 mtr above the starting point and construction of new earth chamber only in same location as per Electrical plate No.3 as shown in SSR Part I 2009 (Section-19) on Page No. 497 including excavation on any type of soil, returning filling, removal of surplus material to a distance of 50 metre with specification PCC 1:3:6 type C1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for bed and chamber, RCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate for earth Pit cover 50mm thick with 8mm dia TMT bars at 140mm C/C bothways (instead of CI cover) with lifting handle and fixing of funnel complete with colour code all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for Magnesium sulphate mixing in water, and pouring in existing earth pits in camp area to hold moisture in earth pits complete all as directed. Notes:- (i) Total quantity brought by contractor shall be deposited in MES store. (ii) The locations of earthing pits and quntity of pottasium nitrate to be poured shall be as directed by Engineer-in-charge

M & L Earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cmx60cmx6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 metre below ground level with top edge of the earth plate at a depth not less than 1.5 M below ground level, earth plate surrounded by 15cm thick and packed with layers of charcoal dust and common salt , earth lead GI strip 25x4 mm connectd to GI earth plate elcectrode by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts, washers of galvanised iron, thimbles and other end of earth lead strip connected to main switch board/ testing point and protected by galvanised iron pipe medium grade 32mm bore and watering pipe 20mm bore medium grade GI pipe with funnel and wire mesh for watering including necessary excavation and earth works. PCC Chamber in cement concrete 1:3:6 type C-2 & RCC cover in M-20 (Design mix ) and all as shown in Electrical Plate No. 3 of SSR ( Part-I) of 2009. Note:- (i) The unit rate includes earth lead strip, and protection pipe upto 7.5 metre.

Taking down ceiling fan of any size, type and make after disconnecting the electrical connections, servicing, cleaning, greasing, replacing the, rubber bush ,lock pin and re-assembling/hanging the same back at site complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note:- i)Spares such as bearing/bushes shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. ii) Any other minimum spare which is not included in BOQ (schedule) but needs replacement shall be borne by tenderer without any extra cost.

M & L for replacing the old unserviceable ball bearings with new ball bearing of size suitable for 1200/1400 mm sweep ceiling fan all as specified and as directed.

Removing the ceiling fan from position after dismantling the electrical connectioin and taking down the old burnt out copper winding wire and rewinding the same by using same gauge of copper wire, duly applying varnish complete all as directed for 1200/1400 sweep ceiling fan.

Removing the exhaust fan from position of any size type and make, after disconnecting the electrical connections, servicing, cleaning, greasing, and re-assembling/fixing the same in position back at site complete all as directed by Engr-in-charge. Note:- i) Spares such as bearing/bushes shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. ii) Any other minimum spare which is not included in BOQ (schedule) but needs replacement shall be borne by tenderer without any extra cost.

M & L for replacing the old unserviceable ball bearings with new ball bearing of sizes suitable for exhaust fan of size 225 mm sweep to 450 mm sweep.

Removing the exhaust fan from position and taking down the old burnt copper winding wire and rewinding the same by using same gauge of copper winding wire duly applying varnish complete all as directed of size 225/305 mm.

All as per item No 16 above, but of size 380 mm.

All as per item No 16 above, but of size 400/450 mm.

Removing the wall mounted fan/air circulator/ pedestal fan of any size, type and make after disconnecting the electrical connections, servicing, cleaning, greasing reassembling/ hanging the same in position back at site complete all as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- i) Spares such as bearing/bushes shall be measured and paid separately under relevant item. ii) Any other minimum spare which is not included in BOQ (schedule) but needs replacement shall be borne by tenderer without any extra cost.

M & L for replacing the old unserviceable ball bearings with new ball bearings of sizes suitable for wall mounted fan/ air circulator/ pedestal fan of any size.

Taking down old burnt out copper winding wire of wall mounted fan/air circulator/ pedestal fan of size 300/350 mm and rewinding the same by using same gauge of copper wire duly applying varnish complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 22 above, but of size 400/450 mm.

S & F 100 watt, 230V, 50Hz electronic stepped type regulator (switch type size) suitable for ceiling fan including taking down the unserviceable one.

All as per item No 24 above, but of socket type.

M&L for replacing unserviceable capacitors from Ceiling fan/Exhaust fan/wall mounting fan/air circulator of any sizes complete of capacity 2.5 MFD.
