REPAIRS TO ROADS AND ROAD FURNITURE UNDER AGE B R I AT GE DSSC WELLINGTON

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces area n.exc 400 sqm and depth n.exc 50mm complete all as specified and directed.

Preparing un-surfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked/mud etc. sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous emulsion, any type and grade @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Premix bituminous macadam with binder content 4% by weight of total mix using paving bitumen of grade VG-30,, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less), with mechanical paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed. (Note: The rates are worked out on the basis of binder content of 4% by weight of total mix. No extra payment shall be made for any additional requirement of binder content)

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brush for removing caked/mud etc. sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat using bitumenous cold emulsion rapid setting grade-1 (RS-1) @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete, 40 mm consolidated thickness using paving bitumen of Grade VG-30 with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using hot mix plant and laid by using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted, finished including rolling to required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required compaction complete all as specified and directed. (Note: The minimum binder content shall be of 5.5% by weight of total mix. However, additional requirement of binder content after mix design (if any), the same shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt.)

M & L for Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm using bitumenous cold emulsion rapaid setting Grade-1 (RS-1) and putting in pre mixed bituminous mecadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm binded with 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of pre mixed mecadam binder and chippings) depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Applying 2 mm thick road marking paint with reflective thermoplastic white road marking paint confirming to BS-3262 (1989), either continuous or broken lines over existing or new painting surfaces of cement or bituminous surfaces (continuous lines, centre lines, dashes, stop lines, arrows etc), n.exc 10 cm width laid down through road marking machine using thermo plastic material by incorporating the white glass powder for reflectivity in white or golden yellow colour by using applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, including cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil grease and foreign material etc complete as direction of Engr-in-Charge and in accordance with applicable specification complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F in repairs cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and incl MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

S & F Retro-reflective Cuationary/Warning/Speed limit sign board, equilateral triangular shape having each side of 900mm with support length of 3650mm and made up of 2mm thick aluminium sheet, each face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type-IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, massage (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc as per IRC: 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class-2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable size of aluminium alloy rivets @ 20cm c/c to back support frame of MS angle iron of size 25x25x3mm alongwith theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos MS angle iron of size 35x35x5mm to a vertical post made upto MS tee section ISMT 50x50x6mm welded with base plate of size 100x100x5mm at the botom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing and fixing MS massage plate of required size, steel work to be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint (1st grade) of requiared shade and of approved brand over a priming coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer (Vertical MS-Tee supports to be painted in black and white colours), backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two coats of epoxy paint over a coat of primer including all leads and list including necessary earth work and excavation in any typoe of soil, PCC 1:2:4, type B-2 (using 40mm graded aggregate) as in foundation of suitable size including taking down existing sign board complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repair of stickers with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type-IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, massage (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc as per IRC: 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class-2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 directional mark on existing signage boards of equilateral triangular shape having each side 900mm with support complete all as specified and directed.
