Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement of Mukurthy Dam (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical works) in Kundah Generation Circle, Nilgiris District under the World Bank funded DRIP (Phase II and III).

Clearing Juliflora jungle with uprooting on the U/S side & D/S side on both flanks of the Dam and disposing of the same as directed by the Engineer in charge of the works as per technical specification.

Cutting and removal of vegitative debris on the approach to earthen bund and left flank approach to dam and disposed away from the site as per the directed by the Engineer in charge of the works as per technical specification including cost of labour, hire charges etc,. complete.

Earth work excavation in hard stiff clay, stiff black cotton, hard red earth, shale, murram gravel, stoney earth & earth mixed with small size boulders and hard gravelly soil and depositing the earth in the places shown by the Engineer with initial lead of 10 M and initial lift of 2 m etc., complete, complying with standard specifications.

Filling with Red gravel on the both side of the entire road berms from Ooty - Gudalur Main Road to Dam except culvert, protection wall area, including cost of all materials, transportation, consoliation, lead, lift, labour etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by engineer incharge of work.

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete1:3:6 (one cement, three sand, and six part of aggregate ) using broken hard granite coarse aggregate (well graded) of nominal maximum size of 40mm and down graded to I.S specified grading and mixing the ingredients in approved mixer including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface of approach road to Dam, protection wall, Katcha drain with all leads and lifts, labour etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications.

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4 using 20 mm HBG metal for approach road to Dam, protection wall, including cost of all materials, lead, lift, curing. etc., complete with shuttering.

Providing Random rubble masonry in cement mortar 1:5 (one cement and five sand by volume) using machine mixing for, new hard granite stones including bond stones wherever found necessary and curing, cost and conveyance of all materials etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer in - charge of work.

Plastering with CM 1:5, 20mm thick for RR wall, Pipe culvert including cost of all materials, lead, lift etc., complete.

Supplying and laying of 900 mm dia RCC Hume pipe for culvert including cost of all materials , labour , lead, lift, etc., complete,

Removing and repacking the existing RR pitching stone with filling materials ( Packing stone) for dislocated portion of revertment on Upstream side left flank including watering, consolidation and Labour charges etc., complete.( Excluding cost of revertment stone)

Provinding Rough Stone dry packing for aprons and revetment on the upstream side of Left flank and saddle Dam including filling materials ( Packing stone), watering , consolidation and cost of materials labour leads, lift, etc complete

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete 1:3:6 using broken hard granite coarse aggregate size of 40mm and down graded for approach road drain to saddle Dam, Upstream side left flank Cross wall, D/S L/F Cross wall support including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface with all leads and lifts, labour etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications.

Providing and placing in position Plain Cement Concrete 1:2:4-Using 20 mm HBG metal for wall,including cost of all materials, lead, lift, curing. etc., complete with shuttering.

Drilling holes of 32mm dia in rock for providing 25mm dia grip rods D/S side of the L/F end of the spillway guide wall, R/F D/S protection wall including cost of drilling, labour, lead and lift etc, complete including cost of all materials, with all lead and lift etc., Complete.

Supplying, fabricating and placing in position of RTS grip rods of required 25mm dia size for all reinforced cement concrete works L/F end of the spillway guide wall, R/F D/S protection wall including cost of binding wire, steel rods, conveyance charges, cutting, bending, tying with all lead, lift and labour charges etc., complete, complying with standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer at site.

Providing and placing in position Reinforced Cement Concrete M 20 grade providing RCC wall using broken hard granite coarse aggregate size of 20mm and down graded including placing in layers and vibrating, curing, finishing the surface for R/F D/S protection wall with all leads and lifts, labour etc., complete as per the direction of the Engineer and complying with standard specifications.

Supplying, fabricating and placing in position of MS/RTS rods of required size for all reinforced cement concrete works L/F end of the spillway guide wall, R/F D/S protection wall including cost of binding wire, steel rods, conveyance charges, cutting, bending, tying with all lead, lift and labour charges etc., complete, complying with standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer at site.

Racking the existing loose mortar for a depth of 50mm from the masonry joints and repointing the 50 mm depth with 'Abrasive resistant high performance' special mortar (Epoxy or equivalent ) to the damaged portion of Spillway bucket area at down stream side as per specification including cost of all materials, scaffolding charges, machinery, labour, hire charges of machineries transportation with all leads and lifts and any other incidental charges as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Providing cementitious 1:3 mortar for filling of big cavity to the masonry joint upto 30 cm depth complete as per specification including coat of all materials, machinery, labour, scaffolding, hire charges of cranes, insurance charges transportation with all leads and lifts as directed by the Engineer in charge.

Grouting the holes by Poly Cementitious material as per requirement to reduce the porosity of masonry surface and to increase the strength of structure using grouting m/ c, mixer etc and all relevant safety with all lead and lifts, etc. Complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer in charge.

Supplying, fabrication and aligning of 50mm dia MS Hand rails with suitable stiffners, bracing, in position with horizontal, vertical supports for Dam steps on the D/S side including cost of all materials lead, lift, transport, two coat painting over primar etc., complete.

Providing screed concrete PCC 1:2:4 using 6mm HBG metal for weir top including cost of all materials,cleaning the surface including all labour, leads, lift ,etc., complete.

Colour washing using exterior and interer emulsion two coats over one coat of Primer to the outer side of the dam parapet wall & building structrures including cost of all materials, labour. T & P etc complete.

Filling with Red gravel for Top of the Saddle Dam including cost of material, transportation, consoliation, lead, lift, labour etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by engineer incharge of work.

Supplying, fabrication and erection of Gauge plate made of structural steel frames of width 30cm, cutting, welding, fixing in position, etc., painting two coats of enamel over one coat of primer, fixing 30cm width of Procelin Gauge plate of required thickness in the frame, stickering for reading the levels, fixing on the dam as instructed by the Engineer at site, including cost of all materials, labour, lead, lift transportation, etc., complete.

Supply, laying, testing and commissioning of new 3 1/2 core x 50 sq.mm, 1100 V, PVC insulated, armoured, multi stranded, LTUG copper cable of reputed make with ISI standard inserted in 80 mm dia, UPVC pipe of finolex or equivalent make,UPVC fittings, laying the cable in consealed / open wiring as required at dam top to the satisfaction of the Engineer at site including cost of materials, labour, lead, lift, etc., complete and less the cost of retrived materials.

Supply, laying, testing and commissioning of new 3 1/2 core x 25 sq.mm, 1100 V, PVC insulated, armoured, multi stranded, LTUG copper cable of reputed make with ISI standard including cost of cable, 65 mm, UPVC pipe of finolex or equivalent make, UPVC fittings, 8 SWG GI earth wire and laying the cable in open / consealed wiring as required at dam top to the satisfaction of the Engineer at site including cost of materials, labour, lead, lift, etc., complete and less the cost of retrived materials.

Supply and laying of new single core x 25 sq.mm, 1100 V , PVC insulated multistranded copper cable of reputed make with ISI standard by clamping / consealed at the power room to the satisfaction of the engineer at site including cost of materials, labour, lead lift etc complete and less the cost of retrived materials.

Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 62.5 KVA, 415 V, 3 phase, silent operating, out door type diesel generator set with AMF control panel, battery and battery charger of Kirlosker / Cummins or any reputed make with ISI standard at the power room and handing over the released DG set to TANGEDCO to the satisfaction of the Engineer at site including cost of materials, labour, lead, lift, etc., complete.

Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of new 30 watts, 230 V, LED street light outdoor fitting of Phillips / Crompton / Havells or equivalent make with ISI standard, 7' street light pole fabricated from 3" MS class B pipe for bottom 2/3 length and 2' MS class B pipe for top 1/3 length and welded with 300x300x6 mm MS base plate with four nos hole to suit 16 mm bolt, rib, supporting pipe 0.3 mtr length, outdoor terminal box of size 250x200x150 mm made of 16 SWG CRCA sheet with powder coated siemens gray painting with terminal blocks of adequate capacity and adequate gland holes at bottom , connecting the street light fitting to the terminal box with 3c x 2.5 sqmm flexible copper cable , earthing of the street light pole and coping concreting of the pole at the dam top to the satisfaction of Engineer at site including the cost of materials, labour, lead, lift etc complete and less the cost of retrived materials.

Supply, erection,testing and commissioning of new post top decorative lantern fitting of good quality suitable for 9/10 watts LED lamp of reputed make with ISI standard to be fixed at the top of the existing concret lamp post at the dam top with outdoor terminal box of size 250x200x150 mm made of 16 SWG CRCA sheet with powder coated siemens gray painting with terminal blocks of adequate capacity and gland holes at bottom , connecting the fitting with 2.5 sqmm, 3 core,1100 volts, unarmoured flexible copper cable to the terminal box and closing the old teminal box opening to the satisfaction of Engineer at site including the cost of materials, labour, lead,lift etc complete and less the cost of retrived materials.

Supply, erection and testing of new single rod maintenance free earthing electrode of ¾'', 10' length copper bonded steel rod, earth pit treatment by Ground enhancement material (GEM), terminal connection made by CADWELD PLUS or equivalent Exothermic method, interconnecting the earth pits by 8 mm dia copper bonded steel rod etc. confirming to respective IEC standard by execavation of earth pit, earth pit treatment, necessary masonary work with man hole cover, measuring the earth resistance, painting the earth pit cover with double coat green enamel paint, numbering, writing the measured earth resistance on the cover etc. near the power room to the satisfaction of Engineer at site including the cost of materials, labour, lead,lift etc complete.

Overhauling, testing and commissioning of existing 8 HP induction motor, brake assembly used in the gate hoisting mechanism at dam top as per ISI standard including the charges for dismantling, cleaning, improving the IR value, varnishing, inspection and greasing of bearing and replacement if required, provision of new terminal box if required, assembling, erection, painting with suitable colour enamel paint, testing and commissioning of the motor,etc., to the satisfaction of Engineer at site including the cost of materials, labour, lead,lift, etc., complete.
