REPAIR REPLACEMENT OF EARTH CHAMBER, EARTH TESTING POINT, LIGHTING PROTECTION, MEASUREMENT OF EARTH TEST RESULTS IN ZONE A TO D AT MIL STN AGARTALA

Materials and labour for earthing complete with galvanised iron earth plate electrode 600 mm x 600 mm x 6 mm thick, burried directly and preferably vertically in ground, earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level connected with GI lead wire 4.0mm dia by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts and washers , earthing lead to be protected by galvanised iron pipe of 20mm bore (medium grade) and other end connected to earthing test point or lightening arrestor or main controlling switch as directed including providing funnel with 20mm bore galvanised iron pipe (medium grade), wire mesh, charcoal or coke and common salt in alternate layer of 15cm (compacted thickness) all round the earth electrode, concrete earth pit in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 (with 20mm graded aggregate), 50mm thick precast RCC (1:2:4) cover slab (re-inforced with 8mm dia TMT bar @ 15 cm C/C bothways and suitable handle made of 10mm dia) including necessary earth work in excavation, returning filling and removal of surplus earth upto a distance not exceeding 50 m etc all as shown on electrical plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part-I(2009) complete including testing on completion including taking down old unserviciable earthing set all as specified and as directed. Notes:- (i) Main earthing strip from earth plate electrode to rest point upto length of 7.5 meters length shall deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted against this item. (ii) On testing after completion if the desired resistenance is not obtained the contractor shall redo the earthing without any extra cost to the department.

Repair and Replacement of air termination single pointed copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long fixed on copper strip all as specified and directed.

Repair and Replacement of air termination single pointed Aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300mm long fixed on copper strip all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm with saddles and fixing screws etc. for roof conductors and down conductors all as specified and directed.

Repair and Replacement of test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75 x 75 x 25mm, drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia to 25mm long hex head screw all as specified and directed.

Taking out earth chamber cover, cleaning inside earth pit including copper salt & salt mixed with water pouring to earth pits and removing the old rusted nuts and bolts and refixing with new nuts and bolts, Testing of earth value complete all as specified and directed

NOTES :- 1. The amount of schedule of credit shall be deducted from the total of this BOQ for arriving at contract sum. 2. Unless otherwise specified the rates for PCC shall deemed to include the cost of formwork shuttering etc, required for complete and proper execution of the work. Refer Schedule 'A' notes for details.
