ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR ASH DYKE AT NTECL

Supply and stacking of good earth suitable for dyke repair and built up as per the instruction of EIC.- impervious soils CL or CI type having permeability less than 1 x 10-6 cm/sec. Testing charge if any has to be borne the agency.

Deployment of Tractor on day basis at 8hours per day for disposing the cut vegetations, grass, bushes, brushwoods, trees and saplings etc to the suitable location identified by Engineer-In-charge including the cost of loading unloading manually, including labor, tractor operator, diesel and any required tools and tackles etc complete.

Supply and application of herbicide (glyphosate based) in the locations identified after clearing all the vegetations / grass in the area as per the instruction of EIC.

Providing and Placing HDPE bags filled with sand or ash and binding the ends with suitable twine/thread etc. including cost of HDPE bags, labor, placing in position with all leads, lifts complete and directed by Engineer-in-charge.Note : Sand/ Ash is in the scope of NTECL.

Supplying water tanker of minimum 6000 liters for watering the grass turf sods for the entire length of the Ash dyke bund (2 trips pe day) mounted on tractor with driver and filling arrangement including cost of all types of maintenance spares, lubricant, operator / driver, road taxes etc…required for the same and any other cost for watering. The rate is inclusive of the fuel (diesel), driver, potable water ete complete (potable water supply is in the scope of the agency)

Deployment of backhoe loader (like JCB) for cleaning works, debris clearing, levelling, drain clearing (Ditch bucket attachment will be required) for 8 hours in a day including the cost of diesel and operator.

Supply of un skilled man power for misc. works including tools and tackles for unforeseen works (Man day of 8 Hours) as directed by the ElC

Providing water tanker for water sprinkling in Ash dyke Roads & on hire basis (8 hours per shift) having minimum capacity of 6KL along with water filling arrangement including cost of all types of maintenance, spares, lubricant, operator/ driver, road taxes etc... required for the same and any other cost for running of vehicle and pump etc including the fuel (diesel), oil etc... complete. (Water to be drawn from NTECL OFL)

Deployment of qualified civil diploma supervisor for patrolling, dyke inspections, giving daily reports and to attend misc. works in Ash Pond area.

Providing and packing bricks laid flat for protection of dyke slopes with brick packing within the panelwalls (cost of panel walls shall be paid under relevant items) including the cost of labor, materials, transportation all leads and lifts, equipment etc including trimming the surface to accommodate the brick in flat etc. complete as per drawings and as directed by the engineer (removal of old brick if required has to be carried by the agency Description

Cleaning the Toe drain of ash dyke by mechanical means (PTO Pumps) and taking out hardened ash by spraying jet water, earth, sludge etc from toe drain and disposing the same at location identified by EIC. Payment will be made on per Operation basis(Operation as defined in Scope of work) for one complete operation of PTO pumps
