Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc., cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade at the rate of 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in bituminous macadam thickness consolidated/ compacted thickness using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving grade bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 45 per kg.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area not exceeding 400 Sqm, depth of pothole not exceeding 50mm including rolling over the broken surfaces using 8 to 10 tonnes power roller required camber and gradient complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for bituminous macadam not exceeding 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) using hot mix plant and mechanical paver with 4% binder (paving bitumen VG-30 grade) content by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined as per IRC 27: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 45 per kg.

Preparing existing black top surface with wire brush for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with broom and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc. and applying evenly a primimng/ tack coat with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade @ 5 kg/10 sqmt of surface complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for bituminious premix dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm (compacted thickness) using graded crushed stone aggregate premixed with binder (paving grade bitumen VG 30 grade) @ 5.5% by weight of total mix & hydraulic lime filler, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Bituminous premix dense bituminous concrete shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper. (ii) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined following the Marshall Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111: 2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs 45 per kg.

M & L for 75 mm spread thickness, moorum in granular sub base or light wearing surfaces, spread, rolled and compacted using vibratory roller of 80 to 100 kN static weight with plain or pad foot drum to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and as directed. Note- For measurement refer Preamble 3.6 of MES Schedule Part II

M/L for rolling & consoliding formation surfaces in cutting or for compacting moorum laid on shoulders of road exc 8 tonnes & n exc 12 tonnes power roller complete all as specified and directed.

S & F ABS solar LED studs of standard size 120mm x 110mm x 25-32mm, solar controller, fixing with epoxy adhesive, anchoring bolt nail etc as per manufacturers instructions etc complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing Glow studs (cat's eye) of size 80 to 100mm x 80 to 100mm x 15 to 20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite) or HIP (High Impact Polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro plastic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by engineer in charge. The cat eye shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro-refelctive surface shall be 35+/-5 degrees to base. The reflective panels on both sides with a least 12cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be teasted as as described in ASTm I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete and as per direction of Engineer in charge.

Providing and applying 2 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of white/yellow using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, 20% glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T & P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete all as specified and as directed. S & F in repairs glow sign boards made of retro reflection type high intensity prismatic grade sheet in single/twin colour fixed over aluminium sheet 1.5mm thick in shape of irregular pentagon (area exceeding 2 Sqm but not exceeding 3.0 Sqm), framed with 25mm dia round pipe chromium plated stainless steel hollow section and fixed to Stainless steel tubes of 40mm medium grade square/round pipe 2.8mtr long including two/three nuts and bolts on each side and embedded in ground level including excavation, PCC M15 with using 20mm graded stone aggregate in foundation of size 300mm x 300mm x 450mm and making good surface all as specified and directed
