M & L for water proofing treatment to sunken portion with APP modified polymeric membrane having thickness 3 mm, weight not less than 3.00 kg/sqm with 100 mm side overlap and 150 mm end lap and laid with following course of descriotion below..... (a) Applying evenly a coat of bituminous primer conforming to IS 3384 - 1965 @ 0.50 ltr /Sqm prepared surface till the surface is properly impregnated and solvent oil in primer shall be allowed to evaporate completely. Second coat of bonding material using hot blown grade bitumen 85/25 @ 1.2 Kg/Sqm conforming to IS 702 - 1988 over bituminous primer. (c) Third course i.e. laying of APP modified polymeric membrane describe hereinbefore with 100 mm over lap in longitudinal direction and 100 mm in transverse direction, all joints and changes in all diretion should be curred with cement mortar (1 : 3 ) mixted with SBT Latex @ 200 ml per bag of cement and curred well before laying themembrane.
