REPAIR OF ROAD POTHOLES, INTERLOCKING PATHWAY, ROAD SIDE FURNITURE AND RESURFACING OF CERTAIN ROADS AT MIL STN ABOHAR

M&L for preparing existing black top surface/ BM by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Material & labour applyng evenly a tack coat of cationic bitumen emulsion (RS-1) confirming to IS 8887@2 to 3 kg sqm on DBM/ bitumenous surfaces as specified in table 500-5 of MORTH specifications for road and bridge works 2013 using mechanical sprayers complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous Concrete 40mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen of grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix and crushed agregates of grading 2 with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic power finisher and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 507 MORTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th revision) for BC shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractore and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. The cost thereof shall deemed to be included in quoted unit. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ Rs 50kg of binder and NO adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii) Cost of filler i.e cement (OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (iii) After spreading of mix as as per clause 507.4.7 MORTH (5th revision) entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per clause No 507.4.8 MORTH (5th revision) and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iv) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoation of the same in the work. (v) Payment shall be made after conducting bitumen extraction test after every laying every 500 units and cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. For any variation in bitumen contents the re-testing to be got done by contractor at without any extra cost. (vi) Top of road surface shall be broomed on next day after completion of rolling and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted rates.

Providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness n. exc. 75mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 4 % VG-30 bitumen content, Job mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th revision) for BM shall be worked out from any Govt Lab/Govt Engg college/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the contractor and same shall be submit for approval of Accepting Officer through GE before execution. The cost there of shall be deemed to be included unit rate. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 50/kg of binder and No adjustment shall be made on plus side. (ii) The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay by the contractor, course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of clause 512 of MORTH (5th revision) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. (iii) The contractor shall intimate the planned date of incorporation of mix in advance to GE. Premix will be approved in writing by Rep of Accepting Officer at plant site before incorpoastion of the same in the work. (iv) Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using BM. (v) Payment shall be made after conducting bitumen extraction test after every laying every 500 units and cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates. For any variation in bitumen contents the re-testing to be got done by contractor at without any extra cost. (vi) Repair to pot holes shall be carried out as directed by Engineer-in-charge under this item and not measured separately, cost is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

M & L for 2.5mm thick road marking thermoplastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

S&F of road cat eye of size 90mm x 110mm x 17mm meeting with ASTM and MoR&TH standards with yellow reflector yellow body colour and two side lens all as specified. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per manufacturers recommendation complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for fixing only solar delineators (supplied by store under AGE(B&R) on existing road surface,including drilling holes , providing suitable fasteners/anchor bolts ,nuts,washers,fixing in true alignment,and making good disturbed surface complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for fixing only speed breakers(supplied by store under AGE(B&R))on existing rigid/ flexible road surface including providing and fixing 6 No's MS Nails/anchor fasteners per each by hammering or drilling as required,complete with aligment,levelling and making goof disturbed surface complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F of convex mirror of 600 mm diameter ,unbreakable polycarbonate with outdoor hood,complete with 50 mm dia stainless steel (Grade 304)pole of height 2.10m (to maintain minium 1.75 m height above ground )including providing and fixing mounting brackets,nuts,bolts,embedding the pole in ground to a minimum depth of 300 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing and fixing sign board of size 600 mm x 450 mm made of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet with high intensity Grade retro-reflective sheet displaying messages such as "No Photography","No Parking ",No Horn","Parking",Speed limit 20KPH" etc,fixed on 50 mm dia stainless steel (Grade 304)pole of height 2.10m (to maintain minium 1.75 m height above ground )including providing and fixing mounting brackets,nuts,bolts,embedding the pole in ground to a minimum depth of 300 mm complete all as specified and as directed.
