Preparation of black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc complete all as specifed and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Applying evenly a priming/ tack coat conforming to clause 503 of MORT&H specifications for Road & Bridge works (Fifth Rivision) with cationic bituminous emulsion RS-1 grade, confirming to IS 8887 (latest edition) @ 2.5 Kg/ 10 Sqm using primer distributer which shall be self-propelled or towed bitumen pressure sprayer complete all as specified and directed by Enginer-in-charge.

M&L for Bituminous concrete (BC) 30 mm thick (consolidated thickness) layer conforming to clause 507 of MORT&H specifications for Road and Bridge work (Fifth Revision) including cost of coarse aggregates, fine aggregates, filler, with 5.5% binder (VG-30) contents by weight of total mix, crushed aggregate of grading 2, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives (quantity, quality and grade as per the approved job mix formula) etc, cleaning and pre-heating of the mineral aggregate, filler & bitumen of specific temperature throughly mixing with binder of specified bitumen content, anti stripping agent, warm mix additives as per mix design in hot mix plant (batch type), carrying the hot mixed materials by means of tipper, trucks or any other approved and and suitable arrangements, laying and hot premixed materials over the prepared surface by means of paver finisher including manual operation as and when required for proper grade, level and camber through rolling with power roller 8 to 10 tonnes smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller with necessary hand packing and pinning to give an even surface .....Contd

contdd... including running expense of all plants and machineries, inclusive of proper traffic control during laying to the satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge, required quality control tests at required interval etc complete in all respects complete all as specified and directed. Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 5.5 % VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix formula as per clause No. 505.3.3 of MORT&H specification for road and bridge work (Fifth Revision) for bituminous concrete shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 5.4 % by weight of total mix as per clause 507.2.5 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) The cost of materials, transportation, Job mix formula form lab and testing charges for various tests as required are included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. (iii) Cost of Filler i.e. rock dust, hydrated lime or cement is deemed to be included in unit rate.

Notes :(iv) if qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 45.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ, no adjustment shall be made. (v) After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 of MoRT&H specification entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonnes (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonnes static weight, followed by finish rolling with 6 to 8 tonnes smooth wheeled tandem roller as per clause no. 507.4.8 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision) and the cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Providing, laying & Compaction of bituminous, macadam (BM) compacted thickness 50 mm conforming to clause 504 of MoRT&H specification for Road and Bridge works (Fifth Revision) using mechanically crushed stone aggeagates and granual material etc of grading II as per Table 500-7 of MORT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works (Fifth Revision) premixed with bitumenous binder Bitumen grade VG-30 @3.5% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Batch type Hot Mix Plant transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher equiped with electronic sensor to the required grade, level and allignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications to achieve the desired compaction and density complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Notes : (i) The contractor shall quote the rate against item considering 3.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Mix Design for Bituminous macadam shall be got designed from NIT/ CTL/ Govt Engg College and shall be got approved from GE in writing well before commencement of work without any financial effect to the department. Also the bitumen content shall not be less than 3.4% by weight of total mix as per clause 504.2.4 of MoRT&H specifications (Fifth Revision). (ii) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs. 45.00 Per KG and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified is respective items of BOQ, no adjustment shall be made.

Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

M&L for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with white/ yellow hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with 20% of glass beads (intermixed) by special applicator machine (automatic mechnical engine driven machine) all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Supply and fix in repair solar stud aluminum alloy shall (100% water proofing design according to 65) of size 125mm x 125mm x 25mm (shank 65mm) of high efficiency Mono rystafie solar panel 2.4V/ 0.3 watt one NI-ed rechargeable battery (1.2V/ 1600MA) consisting of super bright LED with 10,000 to 18,000 mcd mpleted as per manufactures instructions etc. complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Excavation in post holes (or similar holes) each not exc 0.5 Cum, getting out, returning filling in and ramming earth or broken rubble mixed with earth around, in layers not exc 25cm, watering, and removing surplus soil to a distance not exc 50m and making good surface complete in any type of soil complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material & labour for PCC 1:2:4 type B-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregates) as in foundation, filling and mass concrete including necessary form work as required at site complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Manufacturing, supplying and fixing in repair retro reflective Mandatory/ Regulatory sign boards of 900 mm diametre with support length of 3750 mm and made up of 2 mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro reflective sheeting conforming to type - IV of ASTM-D 4956-01 in blue and silver white or other colour combination including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC ; 67:2001, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class -2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25 x 25 x 3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35 x 35 x 5 mm to a vertical post made up to M.S. Tee section ISMT 50 x 50 x 6 mm welded with base plate of size 100 x 100 x 5 mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size, ......contdd

contdd... steel work to be painted with two or more coats of synthetic enamel paint of required shade and of approved brand & manufacture over priming coat of zinc chromate yellow primer (vertical MS-Tee support to be painted in black and white colours), Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint over and including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing, complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Surface excavation in soft/ disintegrated rocks n. exc (not exceeding) 30 cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Removing excavated material (rocks) exc. 250 m but n exc. 500 m and depositing where directed complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material & labour for 150 mm thick cement concrete type D-2 1:4:8 (40 mm graded stone aggregtes) in sub-floors, sub-base, floors and pavings etc complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Material and Labour for factory made, machine pressed, precast concrete interlocking paver block with grey cement and pigment, any shape and size (design approved by GE) casted in rubber moulds and compacted on vibratory table confirming to IS-15658-2006 of 80 mm thickness, M-40 Grade laid over and including 50 mm thick sand cushioning and joint filling with sand complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
