SPL REPAIR TO POWER TRANSFORMER 3.15 MVA AT MOD MODERNIZATION AREA OF COD UNDER GE (EAST) JABALPUR

Basic Rate : Refer Schedule'A' Notes

(A) Disconnecting and taking down of faulty/ defective copper wound POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15MVA, ratio 33/11 KV of Make "L&T" from MOD modernization area of COD, Jabalpur cantt and transporting the POWER TRANSFORMER to workshop for complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing as specified in sub Para (B) here- in- after and transporting back the POWER TRANSFORMER from workshop to its existing location after complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing including loading & unloading of POWER TRANSFORMER in to the truck with the help of skilled labours and re-installation of POWER TRANSFORMER at its existing position with the help of chain pullies & skilled labours and making all necessary incoming & outgoing connections and tightening of all connection nuts, bolts, screws etc including following testing at 33 KV before installation and commissioning at site complete all as specified & directed :- (a) Insulation Resistance Test (By 5000 V Megger) (b) Ratio Test (c) Double Voltage & Double Frequency Test (d) Transformer Oil Value BDV Test (e) Tap Changing Test of load for all tap position Notes:- (i) POWER TRANSFORMER shall only be got repaired from authorised work shop of Manufacturers of transformer or any other workshop which have been authorised by MPEB for repairing of transformer of such type & capacities and GE will approve the workshop in writing before shifting the POWER TRANSFORMER for repairing.

(ii) Contractor will submit the certificate of authorised work shop along with RAR's and final bill dully verified and signed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii) Cost of cable jointing materials such as cable glands & lugs etc as required shall be deemed to be included in quoted rate and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (iv) All necessary T&P required at site for shifting of POWER TRANSFORMER shall be arranged by contractor at his own cost and quoted rate shall be deemed to be included for all these provisions and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

(B) M&L for opening the top cover of defective copper wound POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15MVA, ratio 33/11 KV for complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing in folllowing manner:- (a) Taking out the transformer oil from POWER TRANSFORMER and store the same into seperate barrel container . (b) Taking out the core/ coil assembly of POWER TRANSFORMER. (c ) Cleaning of the transformer body from inside, removing deposited dirt/ sludge/ foreign particles etc from the bottom/ body of the transformer. (d) Cleaning/ washing through core and winding of the transformer by hosing down with clean dry oil conforming IS:335/983, removing deposited dirt sludge/ foreign particles from the windings/ core and re-varnishing of the windings with super varnish including heating/ drying/ packing complete carefully and throughly heating the inside chamber at suitable temperature to obtained required value of insulation resistance etc complete all as per IS. (e) Re-fixing the core/ coils after complete repair/ replacement of core/ coils in POWER TRANSFORMER including heating up of POWER TRANSFORMER core assembly to remove complete moisture. (Note: Copper conductor re-winding of HV/ LV leg coils including insulation shall be measured and paid seprately under respective items of BOQ as "M&L for rewinding in replacement"). (f) Replacement of HV/ LV spindles (metal part) and bushings etc as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE. (Note: HV/ LV spindles (metal part) and bushings shall be measured and paid seprately under respective items of BOQ as "Supply only").

(g) Re-filling of the removed POWER TRANSFORMER oil after filtration/ centrifusing. (Note: Filtration/ centrifusing of usable transformer oil including filter action by using automatic centrifusing machine shall be measured and paid seprately under respective item of BOQ). (h) Topping-up of POWER TRANSFORMER with new transformer oil. (Note: New transformer oil of make as approved by GE shall be measured and paid seprately under respective item of BOQ as "Supply only"). (j) Re-fixing of the POWER TRANSFORMER top cover with new rubberized gasket set and nuts, bolts and washers and tightening of all nuts, bolts, screws & gasket etc (Note: New rubberized gasket set including all necessary nuts, bolts and washers shall be measured and paid seprately under respective items of BOQ as "Supply only"). (k) Checking of all electrical and mechanical components at workshop after making the POWER TRANSFORMER fully fuctional. (l) Some other parts/ items/ components of POWER TRANSFORMER have also been specified in BOQ as "Supply and fix in replacement" and if they replaced, shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQ. (m) If any parts/ items/ components of POWER TRANSFORMER other than as specified above, are necessary to be replaced in the opinion of Engr-in-Charge/ as per manuacturer's recommendations for smooth functioning of POWER TRANSFORMER, same shall also be replaced for smooth functioning and cost of the same shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted by the contractor. Notes:- (i) This item includes complete overhauling/ repairing & servicing considering all materials & labours as specified in the item. (ii) The serviceability of the transformer shall be checked and confirmed by the contractor before taking into his custody. Any damage during in the custody of the contractor, shall be make good by contractor without any extra cost to the government/ department.

Material and labour for replacement of existing winding of HV leg coils of POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15 MVA, ratio 33/11 KV with and including new copper conductor/ strip of existing gauge/ size with triple paper covered (TPC) insulation of same class, varnishing by vaccum impregnation and baking of coil assembly in oven, etc to be fixed under item No. 2.00 here-in-before complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for replacement of existing winding of LV leg coils of POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15 MVA, ratio 33/11 KV with and including new copper conductor/ strip of existing gauge/ size with triple paper covered (TPC) insulation of same class, varnishing by vaccum impregnation and baking of coil assembly in oven, etc to be fixed under item No. 2.00 here-in-before complete all as specified & directed.

Material and labour for replacement of existing (shortcoming) winding of HV leg coils of POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15 MVA, ratio 33/11 KV with and including new copper conductor/ strip of existing gauge/ size with triple paper covered (TPC) insulation of same class, varnishing by vaccum impregnation and baking of coil assembly in oven, etc to be fixed under item No. 2.00 here-in-before complete all as specified & directed.

Supply only HV bushing 33 KV as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified & directed.

Supply only LV bushing 11 KV as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified & directed.

Supply only spindle (metal part) of HV bushing made out of brass with nuts and washers as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified & directed.

Supply only spindle (metal part) of LV bushing made out of brass with nuts and washers as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified & directed.

Supply only new synthetic rubberized cork sheet 5mm thick gasket set having appropriate type & size of holes with and including all necessary nuts, bolts and washers etc as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, silica gel breather (transparent type) with silica gel as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, magnetic type oil level gauge complete with toughened glass & low level alarm contact as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, tap changer assembly complete with handle including replacement of unserviceable parts such as bakelite sheet, connecting rod with nuts, bolts and washers, HV lead duly taped, provision of glass sleeve of required size & length as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for transformer rating 3.15 MVA including all necessay connections with HT coils and testing for varying voltage complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, oil drain/ filter valve incorporating sampling device (with narrow orifice) and having arrangement for locking as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, radiator valves leakproofness complete as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, air release plug complete as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, LT terminal Plate complete with terminals as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only transformer oil, low viscosity type having minimum 60kV breaking capacity at 2.5mm gap, conforming to relevant duly approved by GE suitable for topping up of 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed. Make:- Savita or Power Oil or CASTROL as approved by GE. Note:- Transformer oil shall be supplied in sealed barrel/ container only.

M&L for centrifusing (filteration/ dehydration) of TRANSFORMER oil including filter action by using automatic centrifusing machine including all necessary arrangement for electric supply for operation of machine to achieve minimum 35 to 50KV breaking capacity at 4mm gap by absorbing and abolishing of all sludge particles and making the oil useable as per BS-B 66-1983 complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, sundry items viz. cover bolts, plug, cap screws, washers, insulating materials etc; and minor repair of tank, radiator including ncessary welding if required suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA and making serviceable all components complete all as specified & directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, thermometer dial type of minimum 15mm diameter with maximum temperature indicator along with resetting device & alarm contactor as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement, double-floate buchholz relays with alarm & trip contacts as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's recommendations duly approved by GE suitable for 33/11 Kv transformer of capacity 3.15MVA complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cleaning/ prepration of complete external surfaces of POWER TRANSFORMER of capacity 3.15MVA, ratio 33/11 KV for painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of colour/ shed as approved by GE including writing letters or figures (Block, Roman, Italic or Indian) with and including thick enamel paint of approved colour/ shed not exc 10cm in height for SM/ MES No. etc of tranformer complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for earthing in replacement complete with galvansided steel earth plate electrode 600x600x6.0mm thick directly burried in the ground (earth pit not less than 2.25M deep below ground level) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.50M deep below normal ground level, connected to galvanised iron strip 32x6mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel, 40mm bore GI pipe medium grade including necessary fittings for protection of earthing strip, watering pipe 20mm bore GI medium grade, concrete chamber in PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40 mm grade aggregate, coping shall be in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20 mm grade aggregate and internal surfaces of concrete chamber shall be given 12mm thick plaster in CM (1:4), funnel with wire gauge of 22 gauge (0.63 mm) 8 mesh per linear incl 50mm thick cover of RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 using 20mm grade stone aggregate reinforced with 8mm MS deformed bar @ 75 mm C/C both ways, char coal dust and common salt all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I (2009) including all necessary excavation & earth work and removal of surplus soil to a distance n. exc 50M and providing connection points with MS/ GI bolts & washers as required and connection from earth test point to earth electrode with same GI earth strip alongwith protection pipe and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed. Note:- GI strip and protection pipe from earth electrode to test point max upto 7.50M shall be deemed to be included in the unit rates as quoted by the contractor.

Supply and fix charging motor for 11 KV high tension VCB panels, 400 Amps, operated on 230 volts AC or 30 volts DC, as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's instructions duly approved by GE after taking out the old unserviceable charging motor and testing on completion complete all as directed.

Supply and fix new limit switch for VCB operating on 110/30 volts DC as per existing make/ as per manufacturer's instructions duly approved by GE after taking out the old unserviceable limit switch and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing of new neutral switch rotary type suitable for 11 KV VCB as per existing make & model duly approved by GE after taking out the old unserviceable switch and testing on completion complete all as directed.

M&L for cable jointing kit in replacement for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for indoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 95sqmm and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- M SEAL or RAYCHEM or DENSON or CAB SEAL as approved by GE.

M&L for cable jointing kit in replacement for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for straight through heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 95sqmm and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- M SEAL or RAYCHEM or DENSON or CAB SEAL as approved by GE.

M&L for cable jointing kit in replacement for 11 KV (Earthed) grade cable for outdoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 95sqmm and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- M SEAL or RAYCHEM or DENSON or CAB SEAL as approved by GE.

M&L for cable jointing kit in replacement for 33 KV (Earthed) grade cable for outdoor termination heat shrink type joint complete with jointing material and accessories suitable for 3 core XLPE armoured aluminium conductor cable of size 95sqmm and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- M SEAL or RAYCHEM or DENSON or CAB SEAL as approved by GE.

Supply and fix in replacement, new disc type insulator, porcelain, vitreous white/ brown/ green 145mm high and 225mm dia ball & socket type, 'TWO IN SERIES' assembly for tension with GI tension clamps for conductors for working pressure of 11000 volts complete all as specified and directed. Make : JAYSHREE or JAIPURIA or WS insulator as approved by GE

Supply and fix in replacement, new lightning arrestor Metal Oxide type complete with all fittings, transmision/ distribution class 10 KA, current rating 12 kA suitable for 11 KV system and mounting on poles including all necessary bolts, nuts and washers and making electric connection and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed. Make:- SCHNENIDER or BHEL or GE POWER or W/S INSULATORS or SOUTHERN INSULATORS or OBLUM as approved by GE.

Supply and fixing of battery bank comprising of charging facilities with sheet steel enclosure and maintenance free lead, acid, maintenance free rechargeable battery of 2 Volts, 100AH-55 Nos (110 Volts DC) connected with each other with nuts, bolts & washers conforming to IS-15549/ 2005 and IEC 60896- 21 & 22; for tripping system to HT breaker during fault occurence including making all necessary connections, wiring, cable plug top and also making connection from VCB to VCB with & including copper cable of required type, size & section after taking out the old unserviceable battery bank and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- Exide or Amco or Amaron or Luminous as approved by GE.

Supply and fix in replacemevnt, Three Phase Over Current & Earth Fault Relay with high Set, Model-MC61AnX having Aux Supply 24-240 volts AC/D, C.T. Rating 1A or 5A, output contacts 4 NO and device code 50, 50N complete all as specified and directed. Make:- L&T Cat No. MC61ANX4000 or equivalent model of make- Schneider or ABB or AE as approved by GE.

Supply and fix new resin cast epoxy coated high tension current transformer of dual ratio of 150-75/1/1 or 5 Amps, 10-15 VA burden out put, accuracy class-0.5 conforming to IS 2705/IEC 60044-1 suitable for rated voltage system of 11KV for metering/ protection of breakers after taking out the old unserviceable CT and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- Kappa or Electro Mech or AE or SCHNEIDER or Areva or any other make as approved by GE from list of make attached with tender documents.

Supply and fix new resin cast epoxy coated high tension current transformer of dual ratio of 50-25/1/1 or 5 Amps, 10-15 VA burden out put, accuracy class-0.5 conforming to IS 2705/IEC 60044-1 suitable for rated voltage system of 11KV for metering/ protection of breakers after taking out the old unserviceable CT and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- Kappa or Electro Mech or AE or SCHNEIDER or Areva or any other make as approved by GE from list of make attached with tender documents.

Supply and laying or fixing or passing in duct/ on pole/ through pipes, 11000 volts grade XLPE insulated, screened PVC bedded, galvanised steel strip or wire armoured, electric power cables (heavy duty) with stranded aluminium conductor of cross section area 120 sqmm, 3 core including connections after taking out the old unserviceable XLPE/ PILCA cable and testing on completion complete all as directed. Make:- Havells or Finolex or Gloster or Plaza or Universal as approved by GE.
