Epoxy flooring work in the Plant Tissue Culture Facility

Providing and laying self-leveling epoxy flooring over existing epoxy floor, including mechanical grinding and preparation of the entire floor surface to remove dust, laitance, loose materials, oil, grease and all contaminants; repairing of control joints, cracks, damaged and defective portions using approved epoxy putty/epoxy mortar; application of one coat epoxy primer; dismantling and disposal of damaged/delaminated epoxy flooring wherever required; providing and laying 2 mm thick self-leveling epoxy base screed in repaired areas; and providing and laying 1–2 mm thick self-leveling epoxy topping complete with leveling, finishing and curing to achieve a seamless, smooth, non-porous, dust-free, clean-room compatible finish free from pinholes, pores, cracks, undulations and other defects, all complete as per manufacturer's specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge. The rate shall include all materials, labour, tools & plants, consumables, machinery, surface preparation, repairs, dismantling, disposal of debris, application, finishing, curing, testing, protection and all incidental works required for satisfactory completion of the work. The work shall be executed chamber-wise as per laboratory availability and approved schedule. Payment shall be made only after satisfactory completion and certification by the concerned Laboratory In-Charge and Engineer-in-Charge. Providing and making 50 mm × 50 mm epoxy coving at the junction of floor and wall, as per approved standard design and clean-room/laboratory requirements, including dismantling and removal of existing damaged coving wherever required, surface preparation, cleaning, application of approved epoxy primer, formation of coving using epoxy mortar/epoxy compound, finishing to smooth uniform profile, and application of epoxy coating/painting in approved colour and shade, complete in all respects as per manufacturer's specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. The finished coving shall be seamless, smooth, non-porous, free from cracks, pinholes, sharp edges, waviness, and other defects, suitable for hygienic laboratory and clean-room environments. The rate shall include all materials, labour, tools & plants, scaffolding, surface preparation, dismantling, disposal of debris, finishing, curing, and all incidental works required for satisfactory completion of the work. Payment shall be made only after satisfactory completion of the work and certification by the concerned Laboratory In-Charge and Engineer-in-Charge.
