REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE OF LT OG/UG, PANEL BOARD, CABLES, ISOLATION TRANSFORMER, APFC PANEL, VOLTAGE STABILIZER AND ALLIED WORKS IN TECH AND DOMESTIC AREA AND DDK RANGE UNDER GE(AF)KALAIKUNDA

Excavating in trenches , n.exc 1.5 m wide and n.exc 1.5 m depth for foundation etc or for shafts, wells, cesspits ,manhole pier hole etc n.exc 10 sqm on plan and n.exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in any kind of soil Note : Manual excavation to be done. During excavation if any damage occured to existing cable any type/ water pipe line, it will be contractor responsibilty to get it repair and make functional by providing jointing kit etc without any extra cost. Contractor has to repair it within 24 hrs so that essential service can not be effected due to such damage.If contractor fails to repair it within 24 hrs penalty @ Rs 500/- will be charged to contractor. In this GE decision will be final, conclusive and binding.

Disconnecting & taking out defective under ground LT cable from trenches, pole, pipe, floor ,wall etc including bricks ,GI pipes and removing from work site of unserviceable material all as specified and directed. (Excavation/earth work shall be measured & paid separately under relevant item of this schedule)

Supply, Laying, testing and connecting XLPE sheathed,PVC insulated screened PVC bedded,galvanised steel strip of wire armoured electric power cable heavy duty with stranded aluminium conductor 1100 volt grade of size 3.5 core 400 sqmm. , laid in trenches/surface of wall/in GI pipe along with pole for connection to OH lines,including Brass Compression Cable Gland, Terminal Lugs,clamps,nut & bolts etc all as specified

Laying only old bricks obtained from item No 02 perpandicular to U/G cable for cable protection complete all as specified.

Returning, filling in, of soil including spreading leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm complete all as specified and directed .

Removing excavated material to a distance n.exc 50M and deposited/ spreaded where directed at a level n. exc 1.5 M above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed .

M & L for Boring of horizontal hole under road, pavement, hardstanding suitable for passing through up to 80 mm bore, complete all as specified. Note : (i) One run of boring of horizontal hole will be measured as one unit length. (ii) All the precaution to be taken by the contractor before drilling the bore. The contractor has to take plan of existing cables any type and pipe line in existing area before drilling the bore. (iii) Any damage to existing cables any type and pipe line in the way of drilling the bore will be repaired and make good by the contractor. No extra cost will be paid on this account. (iv) Contractor has to get the survey of route, length and depth for boring before quoting the rate.

Supplying and fixing Galvanised mild steel pipe /tubing, light grade complete with all fittings of 80 mm bore dia, laid in trenches / under roads, fixed to poles/ walls with Mild steel clamps , bolts , nuts and washers as in cable protection complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for detecting of fault in 1100V (E) LT cable of any size , 3½ core laid in trenches/ducts with the help of electronic fault locating machine comprising of surge generator, echo fault locator with high frequency distance calculator etc and exposing the cable fault, removal of deteriorated portion of cable, treating the cable including making it ready for jointing work complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: - (i) The quoted rate shall deemed to include for the cost of earthwork excavation as required.(ii) Cable if replaced & cost of Jointing kit shall be measured & paid separately.
