The maintenance work should be performed by a dedicated team of Gardeners, Labours and Supervisors who will be trained in special methods of tending desert plants which will be quite different from normal methods of maintaining garden plants (Note: Horticulture maintenance in the natural resorted habitat areas of Kishan Bagh will involve every little watering once the initial planting and germination has happened and once the plant become established. Water for irrigation will be provided by JDA). It also includes cleaning, weeding, hoeing and Replacement of dead dying plants. Maintenance work will be throughout the Project are, including the Duney habitat, to all the intended areas for growing plants on the Central Spine, the Wetland, and all the plants featured in various other modules such as the MIcro-Habitats, Interpretation Islands, Visitors Centre, Viewing Deck, Dhok Habitat, etc. and also includes the work of looking after the plants grown in the Kishan Bagh Nursery, and the training, employment and supervision of the labour force required to run and maintain the Nursery for a period of 3 years. Providing and fixing balli balusters of 100 mm average dia. made from the heartwood of any of the following timbers: Desi Babool (Acacia nilotica), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Goondi (Cordia gharaf), Siris (Albizia lebbeck) or Bordi (Ziziphus mauritiana), with the sapwood completely removed to expose only the dark heartwood. Finished wood should be lightly planed and sand-papered to achieve smooth finish. Fixed to the edge wall with a MS cup (excluding cost of MS cup and hold-fast ) fixed to the hold-fast including all fittings (nails, screws and hardware etc) according to drawings, complete in all respects as per directions of the consultant and engineer in charge. The joint of rail and balusters should be neatly done with making a notch as per approved sample.
Providing and fixing wooden log seats made from 3/4 logs of any of the following timbers: desi babool (Acacia nilotica), neem (Azadrachita indica), Siras (Albizia lebbeck), Jamun (Syzigium cumini) as suggested by the consultant. Dimensions of the log should be 350-400 mm dia and length 1200 - 1500 mm. The log should be planed smooth on its upper surface, but on all the sides below, the bark should be retained. The sharp edges on top will need to be lightly rounded off. Each log will rest on top of two ‘feet‘ as shown in the drawing, made of the heartwood of desi babool, with all the pale sapwood removed. Dimensions of the feet are 550 mm long and 150-400 mm high, and 100-150 mm wide. The top of the feet will be carved out to hold the log including all nailing etc complete in all respect.
Providing and fixing Jaisalmer fossiliferous limestone, 50 mm thick to rest horizontally on stone beams for pathways fixing with lime sand mortar 1:2 complete in all respect.
Providing & Fixing of signages including graphic/text design for Photo gallery of Botanical interpretation Islands. Signages to be fixed on pre-existing wooden structure. The Gallery will highlight and shoe various aspects of " ROEE shurbland" . Creating ,installing and fixing all elements of photo gallery and individuals panels includes the commissioning of technical background research, Hiring of skills to write reader friendly captions text and Hindi translation for the info-boards , combined work of graphic design Photography, artwork, digital processing and printing and very aspect of the art of producing signs and info-boards of the highest quality of materials that will be durable , damaged resistant and also resistant to damaging effect of weather such as UV rays. All signage and info-boards of varying sizes will be produced in two languages English and Hindi and the cost of translating the text into good correct, colloquial Hindi are also included here. All the outdoor panels will be printed on highly specialized materials such Aluminium composite panel sheets which sets standard for durability and vibrant , excellent 4 colour reproduction , print quality with a minimum guarantee of 2 years.
Providing and fixing balli rails made from any of the following timbers: Desi Babool (Acacia nilotica), Neem (Azadirachta indica), Goondi (Cordia gharaf), siris (Albizia lebbeck) or Bor (Ziziphus mauritiana), with the sapwood completely removed to expose only the dark heartwood. Finished wood should be lightly planed and sand- papered to a satisfactory smooth finish. The ends of each balli railing should be rounded. The size of the balli rail should be 75-100mm dia (after removal of sapwood) with all fittings (nails, screws and hardware etc) according to drawings, complete in all respects as per directions of the engineer in charge. The joint of rail and balusters should be neatly done with making a notch as per approved sample.
Providing and fixing 75mm average dia bundled Arna (Clerodendrum phlomidis) purlins for pergolas, to be tied to the Wooden rafters. Fixing to be done by tying with 6mm thick ropes of undyed Manila/Sunn/Saccharum rope.
Creating a new pargola for more shade with made of balli post of 150mm dia, balli brackets, beams and purlins of dia 125mm of desi babool heart wood (which should be prepared after removal of sapwood) including fixing of 150mm thatch roof over solid bamboo rafter 30mm dia treated with boric powder and application of 3-4coats of double boiled linseed oil on prepred wooden surface rubbed with appropriate size of sand paer to give an even look, complete in all respect in same pattern ,drawing / design of existing pergola of Rock and foscil area ) and direction of engineering-in-charge.
Providing and fixing wooden Steps 40mm thickness for Stairways made from the lightly planed timber of desi Babool (Acacia nilotica) as per design, with all the fittings (nails, screws and hardware, etc. as per direction of Consultant and engineer in charge.
Providing and fixing Chiseled dressed stone for columns/beams/slabs of Budhpura stone locally known as kankar wala of approved sample for various structure in rectangle / square shape and cross section of varies sizes as par requirement including chiseling and dressing of all faces to give regular shape, lifting and placing using mannual/Mechanised system, top end of column will be notched to recieve bally/ Stones or prepaired to fix the end in lime sand mortar,(finished measurement will be considered for payment) complete in all respect as per direction of engineer in charge.
Providing and placing wooden members made from well-seasoned desi Babool (Acacia nilotica) to be used for various purposes like stairs, roof, floors, membrane etc as specified, inclusive of cutting, sizing, finishing and all fittings and hardware, complete in all respects.
PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES at the park through gathering of tour operators/eminent citizens/organisations that are useful in promoting the park by the Promotional team of the Agency and creating and desiminating posters and flyers for promoting the park.
Gathering of tour operators/eminent citizens/organisations (Govt. and Non govt.)that are useful in promoting the park (mininum 20 Nos.)
Outreach presentations to the schools by Naturalists including cost of transportation and misc expancess.
Designing of posters/fliers/tickets of various sizes (cost of printing not included as printing will be done by JDA) including fixing/display/installtation of the same at prominent places in the city.
