Dismantling & taking out old unserviceable earthing pits including connected materials all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5M below normal ground level connected to galvanised earth lead wire of size 4.0mm dia up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No.3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting/testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 15mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber RCC 1:2:4 type B1 , iron grill incuding GI cover with hinge etc. all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earthing complete with copper earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x3.15mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 M deep below ground level) with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 M below normal ground level connected to copper strip of 20x3 mm up to a length of 7.5 mtr long by means of nuts, bolts, checknuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I of 2009 connected to earthing test point or disconnecting / testing link including excavation/ earth work in any strata, removal of surplus soil, GI pipe medium grade 20mm dia for watering and funnel, GI Pipe medium grade 40mm dia for earth lead protection, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber RCC 1:2:4 type B1 , iron grill incuding GI cover with hinge etc. all as specified and directed by Engr-in-charge.

Material and labour for earthing complete "Jef Ecosafe" comprising of 17.2 mm dia 3 mtr long UL Listed Earth electrode of low carbon steel electrode with 250 micron copper bonding to conform with requirements of UL467 & IEC 62561-2 (Dia of the rod & UL Control Number alloted to the manufacturer should be embossed on the rod & UL certificate from the same manufacturer shall be submitted along with the material), 50 pounds of Ecosafe Based environment friendly backfill and suitable clamp, Back-fill earthing enhancing compound should strictly be a Eco Safe Carbon based conductive concrete type which has a resistivity of less than 0.12 Ohm Mtr as per Clause 14.5D of IEEE : 80 standard. Back-fill compound should be electronically conductive ( Like in metals ) and should not depend on moisture for conduction. Back-fill comound should be environment friendly, should solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete and should not leach / diffuse into the ground. Back-fill compund shall not be mixed with any soil while pouring in the bore hole. Test Certificate as per as per IEC : 62561-7 for Back-fill compound shall be submitted along with the material. 17.2 OD SS clamp both side, Eco Friendly rust proof heavy duty weather proof Polyethylene Earth Pit Chamber with following dimensions :254 mm dia (top), 330 mm dia (bottom) & 260 mm (height).Exothermic welding set and provision of one copper bus bar near tapping point for connection complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : JEF or its techno commercially equivalent.

Eco Safe Carbon based backfill compound shall be suitable to be installed in either slurry or dry form and shall not be mixed with any soil / cement etc while pouring in the bore hole. enhancing backfill material only so that it improves conductivity of the earth electrode and ground contact area. The back-fill material shall have following characteristics… (i) Resistivity below 0.12 Ohm-meters as per Clause 14.5d of IEEE80-2000 Standard. (ii) Tested as per IEC : 62561-7 and the test certificates (Corrosion Test, Leach Test, Sulphur Test & Resistivity Test ) shall be submitted. (iii) Shall not depend on the continuous presence of water / moisture / salt to maintain its conductivity. (iv) Shall not decompose or leach out with time. (v) Shall solidify when mixed with water and set like concrete. (vi) Shall contain a corrosion inhibitor to mitigate corrosion of copper (vii) Shall not contain hazardous chemicals and necessary Test certificate from reputed accredited laboratories shall be furnished. (viii) Shall not be affected by drought and shall be stable between -10˚ to +50˚ C temperature. (ix) Shall be suitable for any kind of soil (x) Shall be supplied in sealed, moisture proof bags. These bags shall be marked with Manufacturer’s name or trade name, quantity, batch no & date of manufacture.

BENTONITE based compound shouldn’t be used as a back-fill material as they are largely dependent on moisture for their performance and needs water to obtain & maintain its beneficial characteristics and hence it may not function well in dry environment.

Test Certifiactes : The following test certificates shall be submiited by the bidder / vendor to the client’s engineer prior to supply of Eco Safe Carbon based Earthing : (i) UL certificate for the copper bonded electrode along with the UL control number (ii) Short circuit withstanding capacity of the copper bonded rod from an independent laboratory ( NABL Accredited Laboratory ) (iii) Corrosion test certificate as per IEC : 62561-7 for the backfill compound from an independent laboratory (NABL Accredited Laboratory ) (iv) Leach test certificate as per IEC : 62561-7 for the backfill compound from an independent laboratory (NABL Accredited Laboratory) (v) Sulphur test certificate as per IEC : 62561-7 for the backfill compound from an independent laboratory (NABL Accredited Laboratory ) (vi) Resistivity test certificate as per IEC : 62561-7 for the backfill compound from an independent laboratory (NABL Accredited Laboratory)

Note for item No 6 : (a) The earthing value should be constant (below 1 Ohm) upto 15 years from the date of installation. Certificate for the same to be obtained by the contractor from OEM and to be submitted to Engr-in-Charge before completion of work. (b) In case the values are not found within limit, the same to be rectified by the contractor free of cost.

Supply and installation of 10mm copper bounded Round steel solid Conductor for ring earthing meet the requirements of IS/IEC 62305 and IEC 62561-2. Type B Earthing has been proposed for complete Buildings. Make JEF Cat No JIDC05 or its techno commercially equivalent.

Supply and fix Cable with copper conductor size 16 Sqmm PVC round sheathed (flexible) industrial cable single core green colour as earth continuity conductor suitable to connect with item No 7 above with suitable copper lugs and accessories complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repairs earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required 25x4mm strip galvanised iron complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No9 here-in-before but 4mm dia galvanised iron wire.

Supply and fix in repairs aluminium strip 25mm x 3mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs copper strip 20mm x 3mm complete with saddles and fixing screws etc for roof conductors and down conductors above ground level and fixing upto 20 mtr height including removing u/s strips complete all as specified and directed.

All same as per item No 12 here-in-before but Galvanised iron strip 32 x 6mm

Repairs to strip of any material and any size by removing from saddles/holders/wall/roof and strengening the strip and refixing complete all as directed.

Supply and fix in repairs single pointed air termination aluminium rod, 12mm dia, 300 mm long and fixing upto 20 mtr height complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repairs single pointed air termination copper rod, 12mm dia, 300 mm long and fixing upto 20 mtr height complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repair porcelain strip holder on wall and roof of suitable size including removing broken u/s one complete all as specified and directed. Note for item Nos 8 to 17 : (a) Item Sl Nos 8 to 17 will be repaired/replaced/fixed upto 25 mtr height on hangars/tech buildings/Over Head Water Tanks. (b) The expenditure on Ladder/Crane will be borne by the contractor and all rates deemed to be included the same.

Supply and fix in repair Fountain LED Light fittings with Stand (Jumbo), 100% water proof , resin filled, Multi Color Auto Color Change 12Volt X 30Watt (+3%) of type SS 304 including making necessary fixing arrangements with nuts,bolts and clamps, if necessary complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in repair driver suitable for existing LED fountain as directed by Engr-in-charge.

M&L for earth indicators made of 2 mm thick MS sheet of oval/Triangular/Rectangular shape of size 30 cm x 20 cm duly fixed over MS angle iron of size 25 x 25 x 3mm in size 0.9 metre in total length and 30 cm embedded in below ground level and 60 cm above ground level and angle iron embedded in cement concrete of 1:3:6 type C-2, of size 30 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm painting the steel surfaces with two coats of red paint for chemical earth pits and yellow paint for Lightning Arrester( LA), Power Supply(PS) earth pits over coat of red oxide and writing the earth pit indication in alphabets with black colour of 1 inch height and marking all as per the direction of Engr -in-Charge and including necessary earth work and returning filling and removal etc all as specified and directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in repairs earth chambers by demolishing unserviceable earth chambers and fixing new chambers of PCC 1:3:6 type C1 bed and chamber RCC 1:2:4 type B1 , iron grill incuding GI cover with hinge etc.as per electrical plate no.3 of SSR part-I.

Repairs to earth chambers by removing unserviceable earth chambers cover and fixing new GI cover with hinge all as specified and directed.

M&L for Test point terminal box made of gun metal or phosphorous bronze, size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hexagonal head screw including removing the existing unserviceable test point terminal block complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for recharging of normal earth pits by excavating the earth at a radius of 600mm from the centre of the earth pit and at a depth of 900mm after removing the earth chambers and accessories carefully and keeping aside for reuse including adding and spreading chemicals ie.(a) Charcoal 10Kg. (b) Salt 10Kg in 75mm layers each upto ground level and watering, refixing the earth chambers and accessories after allowing the soil to settle down complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in charge.

M&L for Testing of exisiting earthing resistance with suitable digital Earth tester and recording the readings obtained and making the earthing good by pouring the salt water complete up to the satisfaction of the Engr-in-Charge. Note :- Value of earth resistance should be less than 1 Ohms for equipments earthing and less than 5 ohms for LA & Power Supply earthings.

M&L for Testing of exisiting earthing resistance with suitable digital Earth tester and recording the readings obtained. Note : A register will be maintained for building/establishment/section wise (for Equipment earthing, LA, Power etc) duly obtaining the sign of the user.
