Hydrochloric acid (HCl) 30% Concentration (Technical Grade), Specific Gravity at 27’C: Min 1.145, max 1.153 Confirming to IS: 265/1995 (with latest amendment, if any) having following specification:- Color: light yellow Hydrogen Chloride: 30% by w/w HCL min Iron: 10 mg/Kg as Fe max, Oxidizing substance: 50mg/Kg as Cl2 max Reducing Substance: 50mg/Kg as SO2 Max Residue on Evaporation: 100mg/Kg Max, Sodium: 20mg/Kg as Na maximum Free Chlorine & Bromine: 5 ppm as HCL max Other specification: as per IS: 265/1993 (Technical grade) Note:- (i) Conc. Of technical Grade HCL less than 30% will not be acceptable. (ii) HCL shall be dispatched in suitable rubber lined tankers of approx 15-25 MT capacity, securely packed. The container shall be marked with caution note “Corrosive Handle With Care”
