Note:- (i) The old surface shall be prepared in such a manner that no dents, impressions, or surface irregularities remain visible. The surface must be made even and smooth in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions before the application of distemper. The cost of all materials, labour, and tools and plants (T&P) required for surface preparation and painting shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. (ii) The work shall be executed through an authorised applicator of the manufacturer, after the contractor concludes a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the manufacturer to ensure a company-backed guarantee. The authorised applicator proposed by the contractor shall be approved by the GE/AGE prior to commencement of the work. (iii) All materials required to be incorporated in the work shall be brought to the MES store yard by the contractor. These materials will then be issued by the department for use in the work, to ensure that the quantity consumed is in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. (iv) After completion of surface preparation and primer the same shall be got approved from GE/AGE for each building prior to the application of paint. (v) The colour and shade of the paint shall be as approved by the GE/AGE. (vi) The work shall be carried out on buildings upto 15.00m height.
