Material and labour for water proofing treatment to sunken slab, walls, etc, and shall be carried out as specified below and as directed.

(a) Clean the sunken portion of toilet / Baths/ WCs/ Kitchen thoroughly to remove laitance, dirt, dust etc.

(b) Form angle fillet of size 40 mm x 40 mm along the junction of wall and floor using polymer modified mortar (“ Dr fixit” Pidicrete URP” or eqvt).

(c) Sanitary pipes entering through walls and floor shall be sealed with “Dr Fixit Bath seal Tape” and the gaps to be grouted with non-shrink cementitous grout “Dr Fixit Bath seal Grout” or eqvt. Nahani traps etc to be fitted securely and the gaps around it to be grounted in the same manner.

(d) Apply one coat of a Bitumen-modified polymer coating “Dr Fixit Bath seal Plus” or eqvt on all angle fillets by brush and cover it with 100mm open woven mesh when it is still wet. Apply second coat of the same coating on the angle fillets and allow it to dry completely.

(e) In the remaining area, in dry substrate condition brush apply first coat of the same coating and further apply second coat when first is dry. Extend the coating upto 150mm above the FFL. Above FFL, another cementitious waterproofing waterproof coating “Dr Fixit Pidifin 2 K” or eqvt can be further applied right upto 2.1 m to waterproof the shower area also, if it is a bathroom or bath cubicles of a sanitary annex and apply second coat after 6-8 hours and allow to dry completely.

(f) After 2 to 3 days, sunken portion must be overlaid with a 50 mm thick concrete screed 1:3:6 type B0 mixed with integral WPC (Liquid) laid to slope 1:60 towards outer face of wall. Provide 40 mm OD UPVC pipe at the lowest point with 300 mm projection beyond the outer face of the wall. Then fill up the sunken portion with lean concrete 1:5:10 type E2.

(g) After completing plumbing work in the toilet/WC/Bath/Kitchen floor, tiling work (floor and dado) can be carried out using suitable Tile Adhesives and ready to make tile grouts of approved makes such as Dr Fixit, FOSROC SIKA, MC BUCHEMIE, ROFF, etc.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate), 25mm thick, finished surface even and fair as in levelling course.

M&L hand cut Kota stone of size 600mm x 450mm flooring (or near size available) and 20 to 25 mm thick; laid, jointed with grey cement slurry and pointed with coloured cement to match the shade of Kota stone as in floor etc. including rubbing and mirror polishing complete; laid over and including screed bed 15mm thick in CM 1:6 complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for prepolished machine cut kota stone 20 to 25mm thick as in skirting /Dado, set and jointed in neat cement slurry and pointed in coloured cement to match the shade of kota stone slab laid over and including 10mm thick backing coat in CM 1:4.

Cutting chases, pinning in, making good to facing where reqd and pointing in cement mortar 1:3 to ends or edges of landings, steps , lintels etc and cutting chases for concealed water tubing etc and making good, cutting n.exc 10cm girth complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for rendering 10mm thick in cement mortar 1:6 on on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces and finishing the surface even & smooth without using extra cement.

M&L for rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar in 1:4 on fair faces of brick work or concrete surfaces even and smoothe without using extra cement & with using integral water proofing compound as per manufacturers instructions.(Water proofing compound shall be measured & paid separately).

Preparing newly plastered surfaces and applying three coats of white wash in ceiling.

Preparation of old decorated surfaces of wall by brooming down and scrapping wherever necessary and applying one coat of white wash all as specified and directed.

(d) M&L Providing APP polymer modified approved membrane 3mm thick, non woven, polyster,weighing not less than 3.6 Kg/Sqm and laying on roof surface and parapets with laps, overlaps and sealing joints as specified and applied completely by torch application method, the overlap of membrane while torching shall be kept 100mm on length wise and 100 mm width wise; all as specified & directed.

(e) M&L Carrying out test by flooding water for 24 hrs for leakages & seepages and rectifying the same to the entire satisfaction of GE.

(f) M&L Finally applying a coat of solar reflective bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.15 litre/Sqm on the top of membrane surfaces complete all as specified & directed.

(g) The treatment shall be carried out as per manufacturers instructions and through authorised applicator of manufacturer.

(Note:- The contractor shall furnish the following :- (i) Quality confirmation from the manufacturer of the product alongwith quantity supplied. (ii) Manufacturer test certificate. (iii) The result if tested any of the independent laboratory, the testing charges shall however be borne by the contractor).
