Excavation in trenches in SOFT/LOOSE soil not exceeding 1.50 metre wide and exceeding 1.50 metre and not exceeding 3.00 metre in depth; for foundation, taking out/ laying pipe line, cable, etc. and getting out complete, all as specified. NOTES FOR ITEM NO, 1 & 2 : Excavation work will be carried out by contractor manually and very carefully without endangering existing underground cables, pipe lines and adjoining structures, if any. In case any damage is caused, the same shall be made good by the contractor without any extra cost to the Govt.

Returning filling in including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick complete all as specified.

Removal of excavated surplus spoil to a distance n. exc. 50m and depositing where directed at level not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified.

Sand cushioning ( local dry river sand) for under ground cable 23cm thick (one layer of 8cm thickness before laying the cable and other layer of 15cm thickness after laying the cable) all as specified. NOTE:- Punned down thickness (over all 18cm) shall be considered for measurement and payment.)

Brick protection with pulverized fuel ash lime bricks laid flat across the route of underground cable all as specified.

Cutting the existing road / PCC surface straight by manual, depth and width not less than 1 metre below ground level for passing of underground cable and filling back with excavated soil upto 75% road portion and 25% shall be made with cement concrete type B-1 using 20 mm graded aggregates stone complete all as specified.

Boring holes under road pavement / hardstanding by trenchless technology using ultrasound technique and necessary machine for inserting & including 150 mm bore HDPE pipe of 0.6 MPA work pressure complete, all as specified.

PCC type B-1 (1:2:4), using 20 mm graded stone aggregates as as coping of poles etc. with slightly rounded or chamfered angles including necessary form work with fair finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified.

PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate as as in filling foundation & mass concrete, including necessary form work with fair finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified.

PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate as as in filling & mass concrete, including necessary form work with fair finished surfaces of concrete complete all as specified.

GI pipe light grade with all fittings fixed as termination postal ,fixed to poles/ walls/ under floors/ under road etc complete all as specified of following size: -

MAKE: Wipro Cat part no. LR02-781-XXX-57-G3 or equivalent make mentioned in Appendix 'B'.

Hot press moulded SMC junction / terminal box of size internal diameter of 200x140x95 mm with hinged door & including 4 way connector 415 volts, 32 Amp made out of polycorbonate or bakelite anf MCB Sp 10 Amp, 1 No with din bar, drilling holes for cable connections, connecting incoming and or out going cable with suitable size of cable lugs and PVC gland fixed on pole by means 2 sets of MS clamp suitable size as required at site complete

Supplying, erecting and fixing in position 9 metre long steel tubular swaged pole type 410 SP-31 complete with cast iron base plate, final taper plug, bolts, nuts & screws conforming to IS-2713 (Part- I & III) of 1980 and painting the pole with two coats of aluminum paint over a coat of primer including black and yellow strips 30cm each upto 1.5 metre from top of PCC foundation block and numbering of poles in 80mm high white letter using synthetic enamel paint over base etc

Earth plate shall be surrounded by alternate layer of charcoal or coke and common salt 15 cm thick all around bottom and top. 20 mm bore GI light grade pipe for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC cover, reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars @ 75 mm C/C both ways with mild steel handle 12 mm dia, using round bar, PGI funnel with wire mess & frame, PCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in earthing pit including necessary excavation & earth work, all as specified & shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES Schedule Part – I. Note:- (i) PCC chamber shall be constructed at least 1.5 metre away from the earth electrode and pipe for watering shall be provided in slanting manner. (ii) The unit rate includes earthing lead & protection pipe upto 7.5 metre from top of earth plate. (iii) Earth resstance shall be less than 3 ohm. In case the test results are not found less than 3 ohm, complete earthing shall be redone by the contractor without any extra cost to Govt.
