Comprehensive maintenance of DG sets , periodical servicing including first hand repairs, consisting of normal repairs such as tightening of nut bolts, greasing, checking/replacing of battery terminals, leveling of distilled water, cleaning of main ,battery charging alternator where ever exists with vacuum cleaner including replacements of defective/ worn out spares such as diesel filters, oil filters, rubber hose pipe ,V-belt, fuel pipe and change of oils etc. and cleaning of Radiator etc. for DG Sets 380 KVA, Make;- Greaves cotton Ltd / Jyoti Ltd, SM No. 187086 at Substation No.8 (Location : Service cell DIAT, Girinagar). Note:- (i) The maintenance cost of DG Set for month shall deemed to comprises of cost of labour employed for the purpose, T&P used and other petty items such as cotton waste, Kerosene oil, Grease, nuts, bolts, and labour cost for fixing spares. (ii) All spares and oil replaced will be measured and paid under relevant items of schedule ‘A’. (iii) Fixing charges for the spares and oil etc. are deemed to be included in quoted rate for comprehensive maintenance of DG Set if the spares are not included in Sch 'A' then department will provide the same Free for fixing. (iv) Rectifying the defects in DG set any parts by tightening loose connections and rectifying defects, testing complete all as directed. (v) contractor shall detail his rap (machanic) to attend any type of fault /defects on complaint from engr-in -charge or his rep, and and will be attended within 12 hrs and fault should be repair within 48hrs. (iv) In case contractor fails to rectify defect within 48 hrs recovery @ Rs 500/- per day will be carried out.

Taking down defective self starter 12/24 Volt of DG set of cap from 100 KVA to 500 KVA DG set installed at various installations and servicing/overhauling including replacing of worn out parts like solenoid, bearing, carbon brush, rewinding the starter motor winding, etc. and refitting the same after making serviceable for smooth functioning in all respect all as directed by Eng-in-Charge. Note:-Spares required and rewinding will be measured and paid separately under relevant item of this Schedule here after.

Taking down the defective water pump from DG set of any type and capacity and replace with new one for DG set of cap 100 KVA to 500 KVA all as directed by Engr-in-charge.

(iii) Load testing of each crane at 100 % of its capacity shall be carried out once during the currency of contract. It will be measured and paid seprately under respective item of schedule.

Material and labour for Testing of conventional type lightning protection system as specified here under at various locations as directed by Engineer-in-charge and as specified :- (a) Before testing a visual check to be carried out jointly by the contractor, Engr-in-Charge and rep of users for the mechanical condition of all conductors, bonds, joints. (b) Testing continuity and resistance of conductors, ohmic resistance of lightning conductor system complete with air termination but without the earth electrode connection and recording results. (c) Testing of each earth electrode point without continuity conductors, air termination and ring conductor. (d) Testing the resistance to earth of the whole installations with all earth electrodes continuity, conductors, air termination and bonding of other services and results are to be recorded. (e) All above testing are to be done in accordance with STEC Pamphlate No. 7 and IS 2309, 1999 (2nd revision) and IS 3043, 1987. The results are to be recorded in a prescribed format duly signed by contractor, Engr-in-Charge and rep of users and to be submitted by contractor in triplicate. Notes : (i) The testing mentioned above will be conducted only after rectifying the defects observed during visual check. (ii) Unit rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of writing board in white colour letters n.exc. 2 cm height on the black colour back ground on wall such as - Tested on, Due date of testing, E.g. EP No. 1-ER 10 ohms. EP No. should be mentioned on individual earth pits and ER value of installation etc. all as specified and directed and directed by Engr-in-Charge. (iii) Contractor has to make arrange for necessary testing instruments of suitable range duly latest calibrated (certificates to be produced). The rate quoted is deemed to be include the above provision. (iv) If ohmic resistance value exceeds 1 ohm the system to be rectified by cleaning with CRC solution, tightening, replacement of bolts / nuts, rivets, etc; to get value below 1 ohm.` (v) In case resistance value of earthing exceeding more than 10 ohms, the existing earthing to be replaced and shall be measured and paid under appropirate item here-in-after. (vi) Material and labour required for rectification of defects observed will be measured and paid separately under relevant items of sch 'A'.

Taking down / dismantling existing perished aluminium strip of size 25 x 3 mm from any height of roof top / on walls of conventional type lightening protection network system complete all as specifiec and as directed.

Re-fixing old serviceable aluminium strip of size 25 x 3 mm obtained from taking down on existing PCC block at any height on roof top, on existing insulators any type on walls including jointing the system of conventional type lightening protection network and making good the disturbed surface of walls / roof top match with existing surface complete all as specified and directed and as directed.

Supply and fix aluminium strip of size 25x3mm fixed on PCC block with epoxy based insulator of 35mm size at distance / interval not more than 1.0 m for down conductor air terminal network including drilling two Nos holes at each joint, one set of lead washers between strips, two sets GI nut and bolt, gutties, screws etc complete all as specified and directed. .

Material and labour (in repair) for earthing with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600mm x 600mm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 2.25 m deep below ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 m below normal ground level connected to galvanised strip 15X4 mm by means of nuts, bolts, check nuts, washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 03 of SSR Part I connected to earthing test point including excavation/ earth work in any type of strata, removal of surplus excavated material, GI pipe for watering and funnel, PCC 1:3:6 type C1 chamber including necessary formwork / mould for fair and even surfaces, precast RCC 1:2:4 type B0 chamber cover slab, GI funnel, with GI watering pipe 20 mm bore light grade, wire mesh, protection pipe 40 mm bore GI pipe light gde for earth lead upto 7.50 m long including testing complete all as specified and directed. Test results are to be written in letters of 20mm height in white colour on black paint back ground.

Supply , installation, testing & commissoning of maintenance free, chemical earthing with pure copper pipe earthing electrode of outer dia 76mm x 6 mtr in length with thickness 3mm and copper strip 50 x 6mm (strip in pipe tupe electrode). The copper pipe electrode shall be filled with MFC for improvement of conductivity of electrode, 120 KG approx of BFC shall be filled around the copper pipe electrode, including providing FRP pit cover of size 250 mm at top, 330 mm at bottom and 260 mm in height capable to withstand minimum 2 ton driving load. Rate included for testing, commisioning including checking of earth continutiy and earth result complete all as specified and without grid of earthings. Any additional work and material required to achieve the required result is included in the cost. Rate is included for boring of earthing in any type of soil/rock upto 200 mm. Copper strip must be connected with copper pipe electrode and other joints with nut bolt in addition to brazing and all as directed and specified by Engr-in- Charge. Note:- (i) Earth strip for grid network and from top connector of electrode to test point and further connection to AF equipment/ for grid of earthing shall be measured and paid seperately.
