Designing, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Installation &testing of Doubly Curved, Pre-
engineered and Pre-fabricated designed one way vertical inclined face sealed glazed wall, non
drilled ,edge clamped Glazing System as per geometry of the building, custom designed to
withstand local wind pressure as per the relevant IS codes. This item also include detailed

drawings based on tender drawings and prevailing site conditions, fabrication & installation
including all enabling works. The design shall also accommodate floor movements.
The Glazing system shall consist of the following:
Structural system: Manufactured using structural grade Aluminium alloy with YST of 240 mpa and
UTS 290 mpa, the mimnum metal - Aluminium member size will be as per final engineered size to
withstand local wind loads and dead loads, the clamped system of fittings has to be with Stainless
Steel toggles which lock the Glass panels and the Aluminium profiles are coated with desired
coating of PC/PVDF/Anodising as per International Standards. All fittings required for local wind
loads and dead loads as stipulated in relevant IS codes for failure against shear and stress are
made out of Aluminium alloy based and the deflection limit criteria is only a service criteria based
on manufactures recommendations so that no permanent structural changes takes place on
deflection at any point nor does water and air ingress take place.
The Pre- engineered system members and fittings are as per manufacturer specifications - all
other hardware & fittings made out of stainless steel SS316 grade.
Supportive Structural steel :-- Detail Engineering ,Supply, Installation , testing, fabrication,
erection & installation complete as per drawings consisting of supportive MS steel structure
including providing, fixing, fabricating, machining, cutting, welding and finishing of all the M.S.
supporting structure with all necessary painting, hardware, joinery etc as per design complete.
DGU GLASS - Glass - 39.52 mm DGU glass {Outer glass shall be laminated glass of ( 8mm clear
+1.52 PVB +6 mm ) H.S glass + 16 mm air gap + 8 mm thick clear glass, (Luminous Factor – 1)
= 34%, 2) Reflection in = Max. 12%, 3) Reflection out=Max.18%, & Energy Factors 1) Transmittion =
17 % , 2)Reflection in = Max. 24%, 3) Reflection out =Max.19 %, & Shading coefficient = 0.25 }.
2 Consider SHGC and VLT to have minimum heat gain and maximum daylight. Maximum limit for
SHGC is 0.2 for WWR of 60% and 0.25 for WWR of 40% or less.
Spandrel area will be treated opaque glass (Ceramic frit)
(Note: The work shall be executed by special agencies)
OPERABLE WINDOWS
Operable multipoint lock Windows to fit in to the system using Pre- Engineered water tight
framing system with structural grade Aluminium alloy members with desired coating of
3 PC/PVDF/Anodising as per International Standards with necessary Heavy duty, best quality
hardware and Joineries. The dimensions, position & spacing of the openable Windows as per the
latest National Building Code of India.
Gaskets - The system is sealed with Heavy duty, best quality weather grade 3 layer Silicone
Gasket /Backer rods wherever glass to glass joint occurs. The Silicone connection/joint is
designed for at least 50% ductility- the metal and glass held by clamps is separated by Heavy duty,
best quality dual vertical EPDM gaskets of at least 12mm depth and 40 % compression so that no
day light passes through the Aluminium members and glass. The Gasket shall be special
microwave cured.
Water proofing - All components should be sealed for water proofing with silicon of Wacker, Dow
Corning of DC 789/GE water proof membrane with internal / external aluminium flashing finished
to approval. The glazing system should be sealed to hoist structure and allow movements etc in its
Edges & Top Flashings :-- Detail Engineering ,Supply, Installation , testing, fabrication, erection &
installation complete as per drawings consisting of Edges & Top Flashings made of structural
grade Aluminium Alloy including providing, fabricating, fixing and finishing with all necessary
hardware, sealants, etc as per design complete.
Rate inclusive of all enabling works and fixtures which require to complete the glazing works in all
aspects as per the specification.
