| 1 | Annual Maintenance and Operation of Sewarge Treatment plant of 50KLD capacity with contractors materials, labour, tools and plants, equipment lead and lifts etc., as directed by Engineer-In Charge at site with the following conditions. 1) Contractor shall be responsible for effective O&M the STPs. The scope of work includes treating disinfecting the effluent in conformity with production capacity, consumption of chemical electricity, besides maintaining effluent quality requirements as shown below. pH = 6.5 - Suspended solids < 10 mg/l Turbidity < 5 NTU BOD5 < 10 mg/l Total phosphorus as P < 2 mg/l Total Nitrogen as N < 10.0 mg/l Total Coliform 2500/100ml after chlorinating To ensure the above requirements the Contractor shall organize carry out the O&M work in a professional manner using best quality of treatment, efficient use electrical energy, and by deploying well trained staff at STP. 2) The Contractor shall operate Plant throughout the day for a year. 3) Contractor shall organize training course for O&M of the STP for all his staff. The course content shall include brief introduction to technology used sewage treatment, recycling and reuse of treated water, effective use of electricity, disinfection, maintenance schedule of all the plant equipment, maintenance of log books. 4) Operation of the shall be carried out using the recommended procedure for each unit treatment process as the detailed O&M Manual. 5) Besides individual books, Equipment wise records of Date and details of Preventive maintenance Date and details Break downs Date and details Major repairs Details service contract Servicing dates and preventive/remedial measures undertaken. 6) Contractor shall maintain separate registers.
