Water proofing treatment over roof of PH II building at RL 322.500 M including parapet wall upto RL 323.300 M and at RL 317.00 M and RL 302.500 M near D.T. gantry crane at PH-II 2x15 MW Silpara

Removing and cleaning the existing waterproofing layer including dust,dirt and all loose particles from the surface of the roof /construction joints,by scraping and short blasting method. Then providing and applying modified polymer mortor,to make the surface good,free from local depressions / undulations and to the level of the rain water pipes in depressed / undulated areas as per the instruction / direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Thereafter providing and laying a coat of solvent based bitumen primer @ 3 to 5 Sq.m./ per litre, over the cleaned existing surface and laying 3 mm. thick APP (Atactic Poly Propylene) membrane such as Torch Shield or Super Thermo lay of equivalent,over the primed surface and same shall be fixed,firmed with the help of a gas burner including 100 mm.overlapping at the joints in all directions, if required. ( No extra payment shall be made for overlapping.).The joints shall be treated properly by heating and trawling to make the surface water tight.The treatment shall be provided on the existing rounding on vertical walls up to the required height including the lap-end.The treatment shall be properly sealed as per the instruction / direction of the engineer-in-charge.Proper base treatment including cleaning ,applying base primer and heating with burner etc.complete is required to be done on the surface,(where removal of existing water proofing layer is not required) before laying 3 mm.thick APP membrane.

Filling depressed / undulated portion of roof with cement sand mix of 1:3 (1 cement 3 sand) i/c preparation of old surface of roof with proper chiselling, cleaning,applying neat cement float (ghola) i/c providing and mixing water proofing material in cement mix. ( quantity as prescribed by manufacturer) and neat cement finish of top surface of roof after filling depressions / undulations of roof.

Painting with alluminium paint of approved brand and manufacturer to give an even shade two or more coats over APP membrane, as per the instruction / direction of Engineer-in-charge.
