EARTHWORK

Site clearance and Earthwork excavation

General clearance of site, removal of shrubs / uprooting of vegetations, trees, bushes etc. removal of rubbish and disposing at places up to 3km lead including making temporary access etc. complete.

Earth work excavation in all types of soil to the required grade, level and slope for all depths and lifts as per the drawings and specifications either manually or using mechanical equipments, removal of roots and vegetation, cleaning the loose materials, segregating the useful / serviceable material and carting of excavated material up to a lead of 3km, leveling etc. complete as per drawing and specification. Note: 1.The cost of dewatering required for the excavation shall be paid under relevant item. 2.The lead for the disposal of earth is the shortest distance from the centre of layout of the structure for which excavation is to be carried out to centre of dump yard. 3.Any over excavation beyond the limits specified in the drawing /specification shall be filled with concrete of the same grade of leveling course and no payment shall be made on this account for the excess excavation and leveling course.

Note : 1.The cost of dewatering required for the excavation shall be paid under relevant item. 2.The lead for the disposal of earth is the shortest distance from the centre of layout of the structure for which excavation is to be carried out to centre of dump yard. 3.Any over excavation beyond the limits specified in the drawing /specification shall be filled with concrete of the same grade of leveling course and no payment shall be made on this account for the excess excavation and leveling course.

Excavation in all types of rocks (Highly weathered, Moderately weathered and Hard rock) for all depths and lifts by drilling and controlled blasting using non electric delay blast initiation system, cleaning the loose materials, segregating useful excavated rock materials, carting to dump yard with in a lead of 3 Km, stacking of useful rock materials separately, monitoring the Peak particle velocity and AOP of every blasting operation at five specified locations during the blasting by deploying authorised specialized agency, collecting the data, preparation and submission of report etc. complete as per drawing and specification. Note : 1.The cost of dewatering required during excavation shall be paid under relevant item 2.The lead for the disposal of Rock is the shortest distance from the centre of layout of the structure for which excavation is to be carried out to centre of dump yard. 3.Any over excavation beyond the levels specified in the drawing shall be filled with concrete of the same grade of leveling course and no payment shall be made on this account for the excess excavation and leveling course. 4.Approval and clearance shall be obtained from the concerned Authority for the storing /Transporting and use of explosives. Blasting operation shall be carried out by licensed blasting personnel. 5.Scope includes cost of monitoring peak particle velocity (PPV) & AOP (Air Over Pressure) during every blasting operation.

Extra over item 1.1.2, 1.1.3 & 1.1.4 for additional lead of every 0.5km or part there of over and above the specified initial lead of 3 Km.

Pre-shearing in all types of rock in vertical / inclined plane with recommended methodology to the depths shown in the drawing, blasting with suitable charge (controlled blasting) and fine stripping of the rock faces at boundary of excavation pits etc. complete as per drawing and specification. Note: The actual area of exposed surface of the rock at the pre-sheared area shall be measured for payment.

Filling works

Filling and compacting in layers not more than 300 mm thick to required slopes and grades as per the construction drawings to the specified areas with available excavated soil from the dump yard within a lead up to 3km, segregating suitable soil in dump yard, watering, compaction with suitable power roller to achieve 95% Proctor density of the filled area, conducting Procter density test etc., complete as per drawing and specification. Note: The Proctor density test shall be conducted in each layer for every 300 m2.

Supply, filling and compacting suitable borrowed soil in layers not more than 300 mm thick to required slopes and grades as per drawing to the specified areas, watering, compaction with suitable power roller to achieve 95% Proctor density of the filled area, conducting Procter density test etc., complete as per drawings and specifications. Note: The Proctor density test shall be conducted in each layer for every 300 m2.

Supply and filling GSB (granular sub base) with 40 mm downgraded aggregate in layers of thickness not more than 300 mm including cleaning the base, compacting to the correct lines and levels, watering, compaction with suitable power roller to achieve density of fill 1760kg/m3, conducting Procter density test, etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications. Note: The Procter density test shall be conducted in each layer for every 1000 m2 area.

Conducting Proctor density test as per relevant IS code at locations specified by the ENGINEER for NPCIL requirements.

Providing and laying rubble soling to a consolidated thickness of 150-200 mm, using rubble spotless stone, murrum (gravel) hand packed, well rammed and consolidated including watering etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Dewatering works Dewatering outside or within various structures and buildings by submission of dewatering scheme, deploying required dewatering pumps, pipelines including standby equipment, additional equipment to cater the urgent needs, providing and erection of pipe sleeves and support embedded parts, wherever necessary, installation of pumps and pipelines, setting it to work, commissioning, maintaining the equipment and pipelines, maintaining day-to-day records in log books, dismantling and taking back the pumps and pipelines on completion of dewatering requirement etc., complete.

Hire charges including repair and maintenance for the dewatering pumps fitted with energy meter including suction hose, foot valve and flexible delivery pipe to connect it to the main dewatering pipeline etc. complete. Note: The unit of Measurement is HP-days i.e. the HP of the pumps the no of days of deployment.

Hire charges for the deployment of discharges pipe lines as per the dewatering scheme for Medium class G.I 50 mm to 100 mm diameter including the specials etc. complete. Note: The unit of Measurement is Rm. Days i.e. The Rm of pipeline laid x the no of days of deployment.

Hire charge for the deployment of discharges pipe lines as per the dewatering scheme for Medium class G.I. above 100 mm diameter including the specials etc. complete. Note: The unit of Measurement is Rm. Days i.e. The Rm of pipeline laid x the no of days of deployment.

Operational cost of the dewatering pumps based on energy consumption. Note: The payment shall be made based on energy meter reading of the pump .

WATER PROOFING AND WATER STOPPER

Water Proofing

Supply and laying two layers of 4.5mm thick each, SBS modified elastomeric bitumen based waterproofing membrane for the horizontal surface below the foundations and tunnel base slab including equipment, tools & tackles, all consumables, base preparation by providing and applying primer as per manufacturer’s recommendation etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications. The first layer (lower) shall be thermo fusible having PE finish on both sides and the second layer (top) shall be of granular finish on upper side and thermo fusible PE finish on the other side. Minimum overlap of the joints shall be 150mm in the direction of roll length and 100mm on sides. Note: The actual surface area covered by the waterproofing membrane shall only be measured for payment (overlap shall not be paid).

Supply and laying two layers of 4.5mm thick each, SBS modified elastomeric bitumen based waterproofing membrane over the vertical surface of the foundations, basement walls and tunnels below ground, including equipment, tools & tackles, all consumables, base preparation by providing and applying primer as per manufacturer's recommendations etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications. Both the layers shall be having thermo fusible PE finish on both the sides. Minimum overlap of the joints shall be 150mm in the direction of roll length and 100mm on sides. Note: The actual surface area covered by the waterproofing membrane shall only be measured for payment (overlap shall not be paid).

Supply and laying polyethylene film of 500 micron thickness in two layers using bitumen to protect the water proofing membrane for the vertical sides of foundation, walls, tunnels as per the construction drawings and specifications.

Supply and applying two coat of approved bituminous waterproofing paint on external concrete surfaces of the foundation, basement walls base preparation and application as per manufacturer’s specifications, including all related materials, equipment, labour, tools and tackles, consumables etc., complete as per construction drawings and specifications.

Supply and laying roof water proofing on flat and vertical surfaces using 500 micron thick protecting polyurethane UV resistant top coat over 2mm thick spray type polyurethane base coat over 75 micron thick epoxy primer over minimum 25mm thick (considering slopped roof surface) screed concrete or light weight concrete of density 600-800 kg/m3. The work shall be performed as per manufacturer’s specifications, construction drawings and NPCIL specifications. The rate shall be inclusive of all related materials, equipment, labour, tools and tackles, consumables etc., complete. Note: Light weight concrete will be paid under the relevant item.

Supply and fixing PVC water stopper of serrated type having central bulb and trapezoidal ribs on each side or Kicker/surface PVC water Stopper, conforming to IS 12200 & IS 15058. The PVC water stopper shall be of approved make and the rate shall be inclusive of fixing it at all elevations and locations in horizontal/vertical position, joining as per the manufacturer recommendation, keeping it in position during concreting using jigs and fixtures made up of reinforcement rods etc., complete as per the construction drawing and specification.

CONCRETE WORKS

PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE (PCC) Supply and laying plain cement concrete (PCC) of all grades at temperature not exceeding 38℃,including Type-G admixture having minimum 18% water reduction as per ASTM C-494, manufactured as per the approved mix design including transportation, pouring, compaction, levelling, finishing with wooden float, green cutting if required, curing etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications. Note: 1.Rate to include all tests to be conducted on materials, green and hardened concrete as per specification and approved QAP. 2.Variation in the quantity of cement w.r.t. that specified in the subsections below to meet the strength, water permeability or any other technical requirement specified in the working drawings and specification shall be paid or deducted under relevant item.

PCC of all grades using 40 mm and down, graded hard stone aggregates with cement content of 270 kg/m3 for levelling course below the foundations and other works/areas of all structures.

PCC of all grades using 4.75 mm and down, graded hard stone aggregates with cement content of 380 kg/m3 for screed concrete in the area below and above the membrane waterproofing layers, floor liner, finished floor over primary/secondary concrete and filling between the block masonry and membrane water proofing of external walls and other works/areas of thickness not exceeding 100mm etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications. Note: Rate shall include concrete finish requirement for laying waterproofing membrane and floor liner as per as per manufacturer recommendation and construction drawings.

PCC of all grades using 20 mm and down, graded hard stone aggregates with cement content of 340 kg/m3 for the secondary concrete of various floors of buildings and structures and other works/areas of all structures as per the construction drawings and specifications.

PCC of all grades using 12.5mm and down, graded hard stone aggregates with cement content of 340 kg/m3 for the secondary concrete of various floors of buildings and structures and other works/areas of all structures as per the construction drawings and specifications.

Filcrete of M10 grade having pumpable consistency for backfilling below ground level with cement and manufactured sand mix with a cement content of 220 kg/m3 inclusive of all materials, tools, formwork, plant, testing, pumping to the required location etc., complete as per the construction drawings, specifications and as per direction of the ENGINEER.

Supply and laying damp proof course in two layers of 20mm thickness including formwork, troweled to finish, curing etc., with two coats of hot bitumen of grade A120/S120 conforming to IS 73 applied over it at a rate of 1.7 kg/m2. Dry sharp sand shall be sprinkled evenly before hardening of second coat of bitumen paint complete as per the specifications.

Providing as per requirement light weight PCC of density 600 to 800 kg/m3 for preparation of under bed for waterproofing treatment or as specified in the construction drawings using 20mm down, graded aggregates and cement content of 340 kg/m3 laid in panels as per specifications.

Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC): Carrying out concrete mix design and qualification of ingredients as per the technical specifications, providing as per requirement and placing reinforced cement concrete (RCC) of all grades in-situ or for RCC precast elements at yard at temperature not exceeding 38℃, including Type-G admixture having minimum 18% water reduction as per ASTM C-494 and as per approved mix design, produced in automatic batching plant, transporting to site, pouring by mechanical means such as pumps, placer booms, crane and buckets in various structures at all elevations and locations, providing chutes wherever required, compacting, finishing, making grooves, providing openings /cut-outs, construction joints, green cutting, curing including all tools and tackles, preparation of pour plan, maintaining records, preparation of post pour inspection report subsequent to de-shuttering,etc., complete as per drawing and specification. Note: 1.Rate to include all tests to be conducted on materials, green and hardened concrete as per specification and approved QAP. 2.Variation in quantity of cement w.r.t. that specified in the subsections below to meet the strength, water permeability or any other technical requirement specified in the construction drawings and specification shall be paid or deducted under relevant item. 3.Extra over for reduction in placement temperature shall be paid under relevant item. 4.Reinforcement shall be paid under relevant item. 5.Transportation and erection of precast structural element shall be paid under relevant item.

RCC of all grade using 40 mm and down, graded hard stone aggregate and cement content of 340 kg/m3.

RCC of all grade using 20 mm and down, downgraded hard stone aggregate and cement content of 390 kg/m3.

Self-compacting concrete of all grades using 10mm down aggregates and cement content of 390 kg/m3, viscosity modifying agents for the secondary concrete as per approved mix design at locations as specified in the construction drawing.

Precast concrete elements Providing, casting, finishing, curing, hoisting, transportation, placing in position using crane of sufficient capacity, making connections using cement mortar in ratio 1:2 by volume, - precast wall panels of Physical Protection System (PPS), precast slabs, precast manholes and covers for surface drains, precast trenches, precast beam/columns and precast pedestals, using cement concrete of all grades using 20mm and down, graded hard stone aggregate with cement content of 390 kg/m3, excluding cost of reinforcement but including formwork/moulds, tools & tackles, lifting jigs for erection, crane, etc., all complete, as per construction drawings and specifications.

Rate adjustment for Concrete items (PCC &RCC)

Rate adjustment (addition or deduction) for all the concrete items under 3.1 and 3.2 (PCC & RCC) for the variation in quantity of cement under the relevant items to meet strength, water permeability or any other technical requirement specified in the working drawings and specification.

Extra over for all the concrete items under 3.1 and 3.2 (PCC & RCC) for meeting the placement temperature as per technical requirements specified in the construction drawings by partial or full replacement of water by chilled water/ice.

For placement temperature less than 29°C.

FORMWORK

Providing, fixing/erecting and removing and taking back formwork for all PCC, RCC, in-situ straight or curved walls or precast elements at yard, including the pockets of equipment and tank foundations at all levels, aligning as per the specified tolerance, fastening etc., complete of normal/self-compacting/light weight concrete with film faced densified plywood including preparation of scheme, submission of formwork design & drawing, centring, staging, scaffolding, working platforms for concrete placement at all elevations and locations etc., complete as per drawing and specification. Note: 1.Rate to include chamfers / drip mouldings / cut-outs and application of approved form / mould release agent and all related materials, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, consumables etc., complete. 2.The rate shall be inclusive of design,erection and removal of form work support system. 3.area of concrete formed shall be measured for payment.

Preparation of vertical construction joints at all elevations as per the approved design with form work / weld mesh & chicken mesh, green cutting, cleaning, including all material, tools and tackle etc, complete as per the specification. Note: The sectional area of the approved construction joints shall be considered for payment.

Reinforcement steel/Weld mesh/Chicken mesh:

Reinforcement steel: Providing as per requirement and placing in position High Yield Strength Deformed (HYSD) bars Fe 500D grade conforming to IS:1786 of various diameters for all RCC and precast construction works at all locations and elevations, including cutting, bending, fixing in position, tying with 16 gauge soft annealed binding wire etc., complete as per the construction drawing and specification. Note: 1.Material shall be delivered to site with MTC fulfilling the technical requirements as per specifications. 2.Rate to include all tests to be conducted as per the approved QAP. 3.The chairs provided to support the reinforcement for design position shall be separately measured and paid in this item itself.

Grouting of High Yield Strength Deformed (HYSD) bars Fe 500D grade of diameter 12mm to 32 mm including required drilling appropriate diameter hole to a minimum depth of 10 times diameter of the bar or as shown in the construction drawing with epoxy chemical mortar of make Hilti HIT-Re500 V4 or approved equivalent (including its supply), qualification of the system, cleaning grout hole, grouting, providing other consumables, equipment tools and tackle etc., complete by conducting mock-up, conducting the tests as per approved QA plan, and installation by qualified personnel authorised by the grout manufacturer. Note: 1.Payment will be made for the length in running meter (RM) of bar anchored using grout i.e., length of bar embedded. 2.Reinforcement bar shall be paid under relevant BOQ item.

Supply and placing in position approved MS welded wire mesh of various mesh sizes and thickness for RCC or any other works at all elevations and locations, including providing as per requirement, cleaning, cutting, bending, fixing, tying with 16 gauge soft annealed binding wire with minimum overlapping of 150mm etc., complete as per the construction drawings and specifications.

Providing as per requirement and placing in position 22 gauge chicken wire mesh for the joints between RCC and masonry at all elevations and locations, including providing as per requirement, cleaning, cutting, bending, fixing, etc., complete.

Embankment Construction

Formation of embankment using approved quality soil excavated from locally available borrow areas (as per the direction of ENGINEER), stripping, watering of borrow area, loading, unloading, transporting from all leads & lifts, surface watering /dewatering, lowering of water level to at least 600 mm below the bottom of the working level as required, depositing on the bank/dyke in layer not exceeding 150 mm in compacted thickness for forming the embankment with all leads, lifts, breaking clods, watering, compaction to achieve a minimum dry density of 95% for dyke with vibratory roller or any other mechanical means as approved by the ENGINEER, forming extra width on edges, trimming of slopes to obtain the section as per construction drawing with all incidental charges including providing as per requirement and laying plastic sheet/ gunny bags, cost of labour, equipment, soil/ earth material, filter material wherever necessary, etc., complete as per specifications, construction drawings and as directed by the ENGINEER. (Payment shall be made on the basis of compacted earth). The rate shall be inclusive of the field/laboratory tests to be performed while executing the works.

Supply and laying 150mm thick dry-stone pitching using hard granite stones including preparation of bed in line, level, slope as specified, hammer dressing the stones, laying, and filling up the gaps with earth etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

MASONRY (CC BLOCK /BRICK /RANDOM RUBBLE MASONRY) & PARTITION

Cement Concrete Block Masonry

Supply and constructing cement concrete block masonry of M20 grade, using solid blocks of specified size in cement mortar 1:4 by volume at all elevations and locations, wherever required suitable for 12 mm GI rod, cross or Tee grooving including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc., complete as per drawings and specifications. The supply and fixing GI rods shall be paid under relevant item.

Supply and fixing to the embedded parts in columns/beams using welding, GI rods in brickwork as per details shown in construction drawings & specifications or as directed by ENGINEER at all locations and elevations, and complete it.

Fly ash Brick Masonry

Supply and constructing fly ash block masonry, using approved fly ash bricks, class designation 7.5 in cement mortar 1:6 (by volume), at all elevations and locations including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc., complete as per construction drawings and specifications.

Supply and constructing fly ash block masonry, using fly ash bricks class designation 7.5 in cement mortar 1:4 (by volume), laying of 2 Nos. 6 / 8 mm dia. reinforcement bars at every fourth layer at all elevations and locations including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc., complete as per drawing and specification. Note: The reinforcement shall be paid under relevant item.

Supply and constructing light weight fly ash block masonry M20 grade, using solid blocks of specified size and density not more than 1800 kg/m3 in cement mortar 1:4 by volume, at all elevations and locations including scaffolding, racking out joints, curing etc., complete as per specifications and construction drawings.

Random Rubble Masonry

Supply and constructing random rubble masonry of suitable thickness at all elevations in cement mortar 1:6 (by volume) using hard granite stones including hammer dressing the stones, raking out the joints, scaffolding, providing weep holes, key stones, curing etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Flush pointing on stone masonry / random Rubble masonry with Cement mortar 1:3, pointing neatly and finishing the joints as specified, scaffolding, curing etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and fixing 200 mm thick partition using 20mm thick bison board (single or multiple thickness) at both faces and filling the interspaces with mineral wool having density not less than 144 kg/ m3 as insulating material, elastic strips, fixing screws over the structural frames at all elevation, necessary equipment, staging, scaffolding, tools, and tackles etc., complete as per drawings and specifications. Note: The structural frames shall be paid under relevant item.

GROUTING:

Supply, mixing and grouting approved high strength ready mix non-shrink grout of compressive strength not less than 60 MPa of ‘Conbextra® GP- 2 ’ of M/s Fosroc make or approved equivalent, below equipment base plate, penetrations, embedded parts, for post installed reinforcement bars, etc., at all elevation and locations as per construction drawings and specifications.

Providing as per requirement, mixing and grouting approved high strength ready mix non-shrink grout of compressive strength not less than 65 MPa of ‘Ultratech Power Grout NS1’ or ‘Fosroc BB92IN’ or approved equivalent, at the joints of precast elements, below equipment base plate, penetrations, embedded parts, for post installed reinforcement bars, etc., at all elevation and locations as per construction drawings and specifications.

Supply, mixing and grouting low viscosity expansive aqua-reactive water barrier and grouting system "POLYGROUT” or equivalent including drilling and fixing nozzle, dry packing, grouting, arranging all equipment, accessories, tools, and tackles required to carry out the work at all elevation and locations etc., complete as per specifications. Note: The quantity of grout as per actual consumption shall be paid.

Supply, mixing and grouting under equipment bases, steel structures, etc., including preparation of concrete surface by chipping, cleaning, etc., with approved quality of formwork as required, curing and finishing the exposed surfaces with 1:1:2 cement concrete (nominal mix by volume) with 6mm down stone chips and necessary anti-shrinkage admixture as per drawing, specification and direction of ENGINEER. 28-day cube crushing strength of grout shall be minimum 30 N/mm2.

CAULKING AND SEALANTS /EXPANSION JOINTS

Supply and fixing high density expanded polystyrene board of density not less than 30 kg/m3 covered with 2 layers of 0.4 mm thick polyethylene sheets of approved make properly secured in position using approved adhesives/masking tapes including tools and tackles required to carry out the work at expansion joints at all elevation and locations as per drawings and specifications.

Supply, mixing and caulking with Polysulphide sealing compound (gun Grade / Pourablegrade) of approved make at expansion joints, around penetrations, embedded parts, construction joints of various size, shape including preparation of surfaces, application of primer, tools and tackles required to carry out the work at all elevation and locations as per drawing and specification.

Supply and fixing in position approved quality pre-moulded bitumen pads (expansion joints filler board confirming to IS 1838 part I 1983) of specified thickness in expansion joints of all RCC works /brick walls/ any other surfaces as specified, at all heights including applying necessary bitumen solution primer wherever required and finishing the exposed ends with shilikot/Expandex or equivalent sealing compound confirming to IS-1834 Grade A, to make the joints water tight, complete all as per construction drawings and specifications.

Supply and fixing at all elevations and locations profiled galvanised MS sheet of 1mm thickness with fixed edge on one side and sliding edge with holes on other side between expansion gap/separation gap fixed using Hilti or equivalent make stainless steel screw anchors of size M6 X 100 at 300mm c/c as per construction drawings. Note: The screw anchors will be paid under relevant item.

FINISHING WORKS

Plastering

Providing and applying Birla white or approved equivalent make Anti-Efflorescence wall putty for a thickness around 1.5 mm as per manufacturer’s instructions to the internal plastered surfaces including preparation of surfaces, scaffolding etc. at all elevations, complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and application of epoxy paint - Protestomastic® of M/s Berger or approved equivalent and shade of total dry film thickness not less than 260 microns in multiple coats to interior walls, columns, beams, floors and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5, making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, curing, cleaning with air water jet, applying suitable priming coat, putty and even application of paint with airless spray or brush till the required DFT is achieved including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and application of two coats of high performance aliphatic acrylate based protective coating “Sikagard®-550 W IN” or approved equivalent, having anti carbonation, UV resistance and crack bridging properties, over a coat of compatible primer to external / internal surface of concrete, plastered surface, walls, columns, beams and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5, making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, curing, cleaning with air water jet, applying putty and even application of paint with roller or brush including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and application of synthetic enamel paint of approved make and shade in single or multiple coat to a total DFT not less than 150 microns to interior walls , columns, beams and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5, making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, curing, cleaning with air water jet, applying putty and even application of paint with roller or brush till the required DFT is achieved including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawing and specification.

Supply and application of acid and alkali resistant epoxy paint of approved make and shade of total film thickness not less than 250 microns in multiple coats to interior walls , columns, beams, floors and ceiling at all elevations, preparation of the surface to be painted by filling of tie rod holes with CM 1:3 and filling air holes on the concrete surfaces with CM 1:1.5, making good of irregularities more than 3mm using grinders/corborandum stones, curing, cleaning with air water jet, applying suitable priming coat, putty and even application of paint with airless spray or brush till the required DFT is achieved including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and application of approved make and shade self-levelling epoxy paint over concrete floors for the specified dry film thickness over a coat of primer, base preparation, filling the undulation with suitable filler material to make uniform finish, as per manufacturers specification all related materials, consumables, equipment, tools and tackles etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

With self-levelling epoxy paint for the dry film thickness of 2mm including supplying and mixing filler sand as per manufacturers specification.

With self-levelling epoxy paint for the dry film thickness of 1mm including supplying and mixing filler sand as per manufacturers specification.

With nuclear grade self-levelling epoxy paint for dry film thickness of 2mm including supplying and mixing filler-sand as per manufacturers specification in controlled access areas.

Supply and fixing 3M of type 1181 or equivalent, 12.5mm wide copper strip/foil with suitable adhesive at specified grids (not exceeding 10m) over the antistatic primer etc. Complete as per manufacturers specification.

Supply and application of one coat of epoxy paint of approved make and shade to a total film thickness not less than 50 microns over the existing epoxy paint coat for the door frame and shutter, cleaning, all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding & staging etc., complete.

PAINTING OF CONCRETE / STRUCTURAL SURFACES FOR NOMENCLATURE

Supply and laying full body vitrified step tiles having self-embossed grooves for grip, bull nose finish (in treads), anti-skid for staircase and landing, laid over base of 1:3 cement mortar (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) of 12 mm (average) thick, pointed with white cement slurry mixed with pigments to match the shade, including curing, rubbing, polishing etc., complete as per construction drawings and specifications. The thickness shall be minimum 12mm for step tile and minimum 6mm for riser, skirting and landing.

ROOF INSULATION/DECKING

Providing as per requirement and laying heat insulation over the prepared under bed for roofs with using 40 to 60 mm thick highly elastic two component spray applied PU foam (density 40kg/cum) or insulation / mineral wool mattress 200 kg/m3 density at all levels and locations, all related materials, consumables, equipment, labour, tools & tackles, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and laying single skin permanently colour coated troughed metal roof sheet not less than 0.6 mm BMT/TCT with galvanised as per construction drawings and specifications.

Supply and fixing roofing at all elevations using zinc-aluminium alloy coated profile sheet of 0.45mm thickness of TATA "Durashine" make or equivalent of approved colour including over laps, side cladding, ridges, eaves board, gutters, including fixing of necessary 6mm diameter J or L GI hooks, bolts, nuts, screws, bitumen washers, sealing of joints, preparation of installation drawings etc., complete all as per manufacturer's recommendations including scaffolding as per construction drawings and specifications. Note:Payment shall be made only to the superficial area. No over laps, corrugations/profile will be considered in the quantity measured for payment.

Supply and fixing zinc coated steel decking system of thickness 0.8mm - EZYDECKTM of Tata Bluescope Steel or approved equivalent at all elevations of approved colour including overlaps, required manpower, fasteners, tools required for fixing, retrievable supporting material , preparation of installation drawings etc., complete as per manufacturer's recommendations, construction drawings and specifications. The supply and fixing as per construction drawings, the shear studs will be paid under relevant item.

DOORS

Design and qualification of three criteria fireproof doors / gates /hatches for the specified fire rating, seismic and functional requirements as per the technical specification, detailing, submission of design and fabrication drawing for approval, manufacturing the sample doors/hatches with fixtures and fittings as per specification, qualification of the same by conducting fire performance test as per IS 3614 (Part-2) for three criteria (stability, integrity and insulation) at approved fire testing laboratory, repeat qualification test, if required, and submitting the final fire performance qualification report, qualification of fire performance qualified hatch design for leak tightness not more than 2 m3/day at differential pressure up to 2 kPa by providing special gasket, fire performance qualified doors with sealed rabbet ledge type for leak tightness not more than 2m3/day at differential pressure up to 200 Pa by providing special gasket etc., complete. Note: Payment shall be made only for the qualified tests for the fire performance and leak tightness. The cost includes the cost of the sample doors / hatches tested.

Notes: 1.The total weight of the door/ hatches / gates frame (excluding fire stop compound to be filled in the door frame) and shutter along with fixtures, fittings shall be measured together for payment. 2.The fire stop compound filling inside door frame, panic bar, hydraulic door closer and dead lock shall be paid under relevant item. 3.The payment shall be made in stages on percentage of rate quoted against item as specified in the sub items below. 4.The fireproof doors with sealed rabbet ledge type shall be fitted with special gasket and cam lock with lever arrangement to ensure leak tightness not more than 2 m3/ day at pressure difference up to 200Pa. 5.The fireproof hatches shall be fitted with special gasket for providing leak tightness not more than 2 m3/day at pressure difference up to 2 kPa.

Supply, erection and dismantling of temporary steel partitions/doors of various sizes as per functional requirement and to suit at site condition, frame fabricated with M.S angles and shutter with 2-3 mm MS sheets fitted with fixtures such as M.S hinges, MS handles and aldrop, painted with two coats of enamel paint of approved shade over a coat of suitable primer, fixing the door by welding with embedded parts or with anchor fasteners, dismantling the same before erection of permanent door and making good of the embedded parts by grinding, handing over the dismantled steel door to the NPCIL store etc., complete. FALSE CEILING

Preparation of shop drawings for the entire scope of false ceiling to show complete system installation, including framing around fixtures, ducts, grills, access panels, fire alarm, spray, smoke detectors , ventilation grills and communication system, etc., complete for the approval of ENGINEER prior to execution of work. Note : 1.Scope includes side cladding with anodised aluminium frame work using anodised aluminium sections, with adjustable GI rods, holding cleats grid work suitably modified along the walls and beams, fixed with anchor bolts, making extra frame work around the air conditioning and electrical fixtures and fittings fixed with necessary clips and fixing 12.5 mm thick GYPBOARD® or equivalent approved make as per IS: 2095, mock-up, etc., complete as per construction drawings and specifications 2.suitable mock up shall be arranged and approval of Engineer has to be obtained prior to the execution of work.

BERGER /ASIAN or approved equivalent with DFT not less than 75 microns, handling , transporting to site and erection inposition with necessary jigs, fixtures, including all tools and tackles, consumables, necessary scaffoldings / temporaryplatforms, at all elevations and locations, complete for inside and outside the buildings, structures, preparation ofreports etc. Note 1: The carbon steel anchorage element is MS rods of Grade SAE-1015/ISRO conform to IS 1732,MS rods( confirming to IS 1875)/ MS flats (confirming to IS 2062)/ Fe 500D reinforment bar( confirming to IS1786) welded to the carbon steel / stainless steel embeded parts. Embedded parts of carbon steel liner at floor / wall using rolled sections of grade E 250 Quality A or built up channel / angle from plate using Grade E 250 Quality BR as per IS 2062-2011 with additional impact requirement of 27J at room temperature, welded with anchor rod / flat etc., complete.

Supplying carbon steel plates of various thickness up to 20mm conforming to Grade E 250 Quality - A /B /C / E 250 BR as per IS 2062 along with MTC for physical, chemical & mechanical properties as specified by ENGINEER. Notes: 1. Material shall be delivered to site with MTC fulfilling the technical requirement as per specification. 2. Rate to include all tests to be conducted as per the approved QAP.

External structural steel members of platforms, ladder, grating, etc., as per specifications and drawings.

Supplying and fixing two layers of glass fiber dipped with epoxy paint of approved make and shade, filling up of the joint between liner and concrete face with epoxy sand mortar and application of 2 coat of epoxy paint with the total coating thickness of 250 micron including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per drawing and specification.

Supply and application of fire proof paint of approved make and shade for fire rating not less than 45 minutes applied over the zinc silicate primed surface, body coat of water-based intumescent fire proof paint coating consisting of polyvinyl acetate resins and inorganic fillers designed for the fire protection of interior structural steel with coating thickness as recommended by manufacturer to meet the fire rating requirement and finishing coat of high performance urethane semi-glossy coating of DFT not less than 75micron, cleaning, including all tools and tackles, consumables, scaffolding etc., complete as per construction drawing and specification.

Road and surface drains

Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded material conforming to specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material by tippers to work site, for all leads & lifts, spreading in uniform layers of specified thickness with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications with material conforming to Grade-I (size range 75 mm to 0.075 mm) having CBR Value 30, as per clause 401 of MoRT&H specifications etc., complete as per construction drawings.

Supply, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075mm) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paver finisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density, complete as per construction drawings, specifications and clause 406 of MoRT&H specifications.

Supply and applying prime coat using medium setting bitumen emulsion conforming to IS:8887 on prepared surface of granular base including clearing the road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 6 kg/10m2, as per clause 502 of MORT&H specifications, construction drawings and NPCIL specifications.

Supply and applying tack coat using bitumen emulsion conforming to IS: 8887 using emulsion pressure distributor including preparing the surface & cleaning with mechanical broom. with rapid settling emulsion on bitumen surface @ 0.25kg/m2 as per clause 503 of MORT&H specifications, construction drawings and NPCIL specifications.

Supply and laying dense graded bituminous macadam 50 to 100mm thick (or thickness as specified) from hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder at 5% by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to site, laid over a previously prepared surface with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause 507 of MoRT&H specifications, construction drawings and NPCIL specifications.

Supply and laying bituminous concrete 40mm thick (or thickness as specified) from hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder at 5.4 to 5.6% by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to site, laid over a previously prepared surface with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per clause 509 of MoRT&H specifications, construction drawings and NPCIL specifications.

Supply and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/ semi-automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc., complete as per drawings and specifications.

Supply and fixing reflective road studs of ‘category B’ raised pavement markers made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels (bi-convex reflectors) with micro prismatic lens capable of providing as per requirement total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro-reflectance and chromaticity values conforming to ASTMD4280. The reflective raised pavement markers shall also confirm to the MoRT&H circular no RW/NH.33023/10/97-DO-III dt 11.06.97 and the length, height and width of the body shall not be less than 100mm, 15mm and 90mm and base of marker shall be flat within 1.3mm. The marker shall support a load of 13635Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Lenses shall be moulded of polycarbonate of methyl methacrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The area of each retro –reflector surface shall be 35+5 degree to base. Each reflector shall have a CIL not less than values specified in table2 of said MoRT &H circular and 2 cylindrical polymer shanks of not less than 20mm diameter and not less than 30mm length shall be provided for better anchorage etc, complete as per drawings and specifications.

Providing and Installation of 12 mm dia Galvanized Iron (G.I.) rod with min. galvanisation thickness of 120 microns on the roof and outside the building and for vertical risers or wall / floor crossings inside the building as directed by the Engineer for earthing/lightning protection system.For lightning protection system. The rod shall be cut, bend ,welded, painted with anti corrosive paints suitable for out door application in the welded joints, clamping on the wall ,clamping on the concrete block on the roof top, fixing with GI clamps till connection by welding of GI rod to test link boxes .Also protruding conductors from wall are to be welded to the nearest down conductors. All the hardwares/anchor fastners , electorde for welding, accessories , and consumables required for erection as per lay out drawing are in the scope of contractors. Scope: 1.includes fabrication, welding, testing, installation, painting (including supply of paint) ,clamps, saddles, spacers,conductor holder ,supports of hot dip galvanised/FRP/SMC , providing clamps for fixing 12 MM G.I rod on wall and on roof of the buildings as indicated in the drawings. 2. supply and fixing in position Concrete Blocks of size ~ 200 X 200 X100 mm M30 grade with cement content 350kg per cu.m, at all levels and locations as per drawing for install the 12 mm GI rod on the roof top.

Providing and Installation of MS Rod (ISRO-10) in the floors as a equipotentional conductor. The rod shall be cut, bend ,welded. Also protruding conductors from wall are to be welded to the nearest down conductors. All the hardwares/anchor fastners, providing clamps every meter electorde for welding, accessories , and consumables required for erection as per lay out drawing are in the scope of contractors. Scope includes fabrication, welding and installation of the same as per tender specifications.

Providing and installation of bare tinned Copper conductor to be laid over the PCC and below the water proofing, vertical risers of the wall . The formation grid/ mesh shall be as per layout drawings.The necessary arrangements required to intact placing of mesh in its position before water proofing made to avoid displacement of conductors. The joints made for formation grid shall be through exo thermic weldings and the joints should be qualified with resistance measurement. The risers from the different locations around buidlings as per drawnngs are to be brought to the ground level through pvc pipes/or any other methods as per WD with required clampings. The risers brought to ground level should have sufficent length for termination in test link boxes and ensure that risers should be free from cement slurry and loose strands. The clamps and hardwares used for erection purpose should be cadmium coated type. The scope also includes measuremnt of weld resistance with Micro ohm meter and Mould and kits/consumables used for straight joints/T joints/X joints for exo thermic welding of conductors in line with the IEEE- 837 and NPCIL approved make. The exotheric welding required for stright joints/X-joints/T- joints or in case brazing required depends upon the field conditions are to be carried out under the scope of this work.

Providing and installation of bare tinned Copper conductor, for outdoor grounding grid including materials / accessories required for the exothermic welding of grounding conductor joints and brazing in case of interconnection with test link boxes / flats. Laying of tinned copper conductor at a depth of not less than 0.5 m from the ground level and compacting of the soil after backfilling. The scope includes levelling and filling soft soil below the conductor to prevent any damage to the grounding conductors. All the above jobs shall be carried out as per the relevant working drawings/tender specifications, standards and practices and as directed by the Engineer. All the required consumables for exothermic welding & brazing activity, such as test joints for welds/brazing, welding/brazing equipments, electrodes, all required hardware have to provided by the contractor. The qualification of the welding/brazing, welder/brazer is also included in the scope.supply & application of anti- corrosive paint is also included in the scope of the above works for its application over the condcutor joints, where tinned coating will be lost on account of welding / brazing. (The scope of excavation will be covered in relevant item)

As per NPCIL requirement Providing and installation of bare tinned flexible Copper multistranded conductor for indoor equipment / pipe line / Metal structure earthing :Installation, Site testing & termination of grounding grid conductor including supply & installation of suitable solderless tinned copper lugs with suitable washers at both ends , clamping the coductor by suitable material of Purchaser approved make for grounding of equipment / panel / motor body / any other structure etc.. as directed by the Purchaser. The scope also includes supply of hardware and clamping accessories, drilling of holes in the nearby gounding flat / strip for connecting the flexible with suitable nut & bolts and bi-metallic washers etc..as recommended by the Purchaser. The length of flexible connection around 0.75 m - 1.5 m.

As per NPCIL requirement Providing and installation of Copper earth electrode as per relevant IS 3043 through boring of holes in the required locations and as directed by the engineer - in charge. The scope also includes arrangement of boring machines required for the above job

Miscelleneous Works

Providing and applying as per requirement of Fire coating material on laid cable. The scope includes cleaning and opening the cable trench covers, application of coating, removal of excess material, cleaning the area, restoration of the cable trench covers, dispose the empty cans etc. all as required at site and all as per specification.

As per NPCIL requirement Providing and Installation of the cable route marker by embedding in a precast 250 x 250 x 250 mm 1:4:8 PCC cube, curing and placing in cable trench and painting with one coat of red oxide primer and one coat bright red enamel paint , to complete the job in all respects as directed by the Purchaser.

Note: (UOM is Operation Day, One Operation day means deployment of 1 resource performing the above tasks with cleaning aids for 9 hrs in a day including the lunch hours.)
