Maintenance deck joints of bridges

Checking of all types of joints and condition of existing pads thoroughly after opening caps, washers, nuts, etc. and re-fixing of the pads by old/ new threaded studs, bolts, washers, caps after thorough cleaning followed by sealing with fresh polysulphide sealant. Include for providing on hire basis, necessary barricading/ debarricading, shifting and finally removing the same, as necessary with proper lighting and signalling arrangement for work at night all complete as directed. [Including the cost of new stainless steel threaded studs, nuts & bolts having required diameter of Grade-304]

Providing and laying one coat of Epilux 45 ZNPH Prime of BERGER or Equivalent Primer of Other approved Manufacturer 40-60 DFT per coat and at deck level articulation/expansion joints steel surfaces after thorough cleaning of the surfaces at Rabindra Setu deck. Ref:[Berger Literature enclosed.].Average 10Sqm/Ltr. For 175 Sqm.

Restoring of the damaged abased steel casting of articulation joints to its original profile by deposition of metal/grinding the same at contractor’s workshop including carriage to and from site. Reinstallation shall be done on night operation.

Providing fabricating & fixing new supporting MS beams against replacement of the damaged one as per original profile & similar specifications including all Materials, labourers, consumables, fuel and transportation, profit and overhead etc, all complete (each set consists of 2 Nos.M.S. Beam).

Providing, fabricating and fixing new supporting bearings tools with elliptical holes, as replacement of the damaged ones, at all articulated joints, as directed by the Engineer-In-Charge, all complete.

M.S. structural works in columns, beams etc. with simple rolled structural members (e.g. joists, angle, channel sections conforming to IS: 226, IS: 808 & SP (6)-1964 connected to one another with bracket, gussets, cleats as per design, direction of Engineer-in charge complete including cutting to requisite shape and length, fabrication with necessary bolting, metal arc welding conforming to IS: 816- 1956 & IS: 1995 using electrodes of approved make and brand conforming to IS: 814- 1957, haulage, hoisting and erection all complete. The rate includes the cost of rolled steel section, consumables such as electrodes, gas and hire charge of all tools and plants and labour required for the work including all incidental Charges such as electricity charges, labour insurance charges etc. electricity charges, labour insurance charges etc Payment to be made on the basis of calculated weight of structural members only in finished work as per IS specified weight. Payment for gusset, bracket, cleat rivets, bolts and nuts may be make by adding the actual weight of such items with the weight of finished structural members weighing not less than 22.5 Kg. / m. or 15 % of weight for finished Structural members weighing less than 22.5 Kg. / m. may be increased allow for bracket, cleat, rivet, bolts and nuts etc. and no separate payment being made for these items, as per direction of Engineer In Charge. The rates are considered for a height of erection 8m. / 2nd floor level from the ground. Add 1.5% extra over the rate for each additional floor or 4m. Beyond initial 8m. or part thereof.(I) For structural members of specified sections weighing less than22.5 Kg. /m.

Cutting to requisite length or shape existing R.S. joist, channels, angles, tees, plates etc, at the joints. (Payment to be made on area of cut surface).

Providing, supplying & installation of ‘Exjomet/ Transflex / Wabaflex’ brand or equivalent Elastomeric slab seal type expansion joint pads for joints, as per existing details of the main Expansion Joint, Tower Joint, articulations and approaches joints including taxes & duties and returning of old damaged pads. (a) E 50 Slab seal Elastomeric Pad for Tower Joint.

Providing, supplying & installation of ‘Exjomet/ Transflex / Wabaflex’ brand or equivalent Elastomeric slab seal type expansion joint pads for joints, as per existing details of the main Expansion Joint, Tower Joint, articulations and approaches joints including taxes & duties and returning of old damaged pads. (b) E 80 Slab seal Elastomeric Pad for Articulation and approach joints.

Providing, supplying & installation of ‘Exjomet/ Transflex / Wabaflex’ brand or equivalent Elastomeric slab seal type expansion joint pads for joints, as per existing details of the main Expansion Joint, Tower Joint, articulations and approaches joints including taxes & duties and returning of old damaged pads.
