For Through Rail Renewal work Insertion of rails of all types & length in track, laid on any type & density of sleeper to the specified gauge under traffic block. Rates include fastening of rail with sleepers with standard set of fastenings and fixing of fish plates and bolts or, if required, providing gap for welding and stacking of released material without infringement within 250m as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Lubrication of gauge face of rail RM on curves, cross overs, points & crossings, turn-in curves and at locations as required with contractor's grease graphite grade "O" IS 408 and as directed. SWR-CONST-HQ-ENGG/SOUTH WESTERN RLY Lubrication of Plate/Rail screws of Points and crossings, SEJs, Bridges, Curves etc., with greases graphite, including removal of screws carefully without damaging sleepers, cleaning with wire brush etc., both screws and dowel hole, applying grease graphite, refixing the screw and sealing the top and sides of screw with grease graphite to prevent ingress of moisture and corrosion with contractors labour, tools, consumables under traffic condition all lead and lift complete.

Dismantling & removing existing Set SEJ (Switch Expansion Joint) assembly during line block and its replacement with plain track as of adjoining section with all fittings including rail cutting and drilling of holes and renewal of special sleepers with PSC Sleepers as directed and aligning rails, providing fishplates and bolts/ temporary connection with adequate welding gap with adjoining rail and ensuring proper track geometry for 30 kmph speed. The release material shall be stacked as directed by Engineer in charge. SWR-CONST-HQ-ENGG/SOUTH WESTERN RLY Under Traffic Block: Dismantling of existing BG turnouts, diamond crossings and derailing switches with all types of rails and sleeper layout, removing rails, switches, crossings, sleepers & fastenings, leveling of ballast to correct profile & stacking all the released materials, sleepers, fastenings, rails, switches & crossings including segregating & stacking at specified locations in a neat and countable manner, within the lead of 250m & all lift, clear of infringements, crossing of track, if any complete, as directed. N o t e : 1. This item shall be operated only when existing turnout is replaced either with new turnout in case of TTR or with plain track when existing turnout is no more required at that location. 2. Rail cutting will be paid extra under relevant item. 3. Laying of new turnout or plain track on prepared ballast bed, as required, shall be paid separately under relevant item.

Welding shall be carried o u t only by trained welder having valid competency certificate using RDSO approved Alumino Thermit Welding Portions, 3 piece prefabricated mould (ZIRCON WASHED) manually pressed, Single shot crucible fitted with auto tapping thimble and Compressed Air Petrol/LPG preheating technique as per RDSO Specification No IRST/19-2020 with latest amendment. 2. Hydraulic Weld trimmer shall be used for chipping and profile Grinder for finishing. 3. Only required nos. of Joggled fish plates shall be supplied by Railway at nearest P. Way Stores and the same shall be returned at nearest P. Way Store or at other location as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge after release from track. All other items required shall be supplied by the Contractor.

All of the above shall be executed with contractor's skilled personnel, tools 9 and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and as per the note(s) below. (i) For fully salvaging all the ballast at stack locations / that fallen in drains / side slopes of formation etc. and dumping the same uniformly in track up to a lead more than 750 m and up to 5000 m.
RCC Barricading (100mm x 100mm x 1650mm RCC pole) Providing and fixing of safety barricading with pre cast RCC poles at 3m interval of M30 grade concrete of size 100mmx100mmx1650mm size with reinforcement of 4no's of 8mm dia MS rods,casting,curing and transportation of the same along the formation ,excavation of the pit of size 450x450x450mm,erecting and fixing the precast RCC poles in the pit embedded in PCC 1:4:8 9 concrete painting of RCC posts, supply and fixing of 8mm dia nylon wire rope/2.5mm dia GI wire of 4 rows with all contractor's materials and labour including all leads and lifts complete as directed by Engineer - in charge. Note: 1. Casting of RCC pillars shall be carried out in nominated depot and submerged water curing. 2. The precast RCC posts shall be transported to date duly handling carefully without causing any damage and erect it at nominated locations as per drawing duly ensuring safety of running trains. 3. Maintenance of the rope/wire. RCC pillars etc., shall be at the cost of contractor. 4. 90% payment shall be released after erecting fencing to the satisfaction of Engineer in charge. 5. Balance 10% will be released after certified date of completion.
Removal of RCC barricading - (i) Removing 8mm dia rope, (ii) Removing RCC pole 41.25 kg/pole, (iii) Leading and loading of RCC pole (iv) Stacking of Released items.
Replacing metal liners in running track without rail traffic block with Railway's GFN liners duly removing, cleaning and redriving ER clips after greasing the ER clips with contractor's 'grease no. 0, graphited' (conforming to IS: 408 1981 and procured from RDSO approved firms) including transportation of GFN liners from nominated depot to work spot, transportation and 9 handing over the released metal liners to the specified P. Way depot, with contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all lead, ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations and as directed by the Engineerin-Charge.
Provision of lighting arrangement during night (to facilitate smooth execution of work and to ensure safety of rail traffic and personnel) with 10 (ten) numbers of focussing lights of at least 500 (five hundred) Watt each placed at specified heights and at specified intervals duly focussed on various locations of work as instructed by the Engineer-in-Charge from time to time with two petrol / diesel / any other type generators (one working and one standby) of suitable capacity including cost of fuel and cost of operator(s) and assistant(s) with contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all lead, ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely as per the special conditions / specifications / 9 regulations, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge as per the note(s) below. NOTES: 1. A period of more than 6 (six) hours between 18.00 hrs. of a day and 06.00 hrs. of the next day is considered as one night; 2. Apart from the main running generator, standby generator of the same capacity as the main generator in working condition and with all accessories (so as to start it immediately in case of break down of main generator) shall be made available at site for ensuring continuous power supply. The rate is inclusive of providing the same along with the main generator; 3. The location / height / direction / angle of focussing lights may have to be continually changed depending upon the dynamic requirement at site. Sufficient number of persons with requisite tools, extra wire, extension boards, self supporting adjustable ladders etc. shall be deployed for this. The rate is inclusive of this. The persons should swiftly act and change the location / height / direction / angle on receiving necessary directions from the nominated official(s) of Railway at site. Failure to act swiftly may attract penalty depending upon the gravity of the consequences as decided by the Engineer- inCharge. ( UNIT: EACH NIGHT)
PWNB-013 Shifting by Leading and re-stacking of Railway's stone ballast from existing ballast stack(s) to specified new location(s) and clearing of existing stack(s) fully up to a lead of 1 (one) km with contractor's skilled personnel, tools and plant, vehicles, machinery, fuel, consumables, loading, unloading with all incidental charges and in all kinds of weather conditions and site conditions including crossing of tracks wherever required duly observing all safety precautions and including all ascent, descent, taxes, duties, cess, surcharges, fees etc. completely 9 as per the special conditions / specifications / regulations, as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge and as per the note(s) below. NOTES: 1. Payment shall be done as per stack measurement of re-stacked ballast without deduction for any voids; 2. Stack wise prior written permission of Dy.CE-in-Charge shall be taken for dumping of ballast. No payment shall be made in case no such prior written permission is obtained by the contractor. In addition, penal action shall be taken for disturbing the ballast stacks without the permission of the competent authority of Railway; 3. The rate includes leading and lifting / lowering of ballast at the top of steep cuttings or at the bottom of high banks on either side of the bank / cutting to the formation.
