M & L for Chemical/Maintenance free earthing to achieve less than one ohms with grid of two earthings in any type of soil and Grid of 2 Plate Earthing with 2 nos of copper plate with size 90 x 60 x 5 mm interconnected with 32x6mm copper strip with Jointing will be done by copper brazing, connected with copper strip of 3 meter with suitable brass nut bolts and brazzing for connection .Alternate layers of soil and earth enhance gel / chemical(mgso4) ground enhancement material will be used of 180 kg . Backfill Contanis corrosion inhibitors to protect electrode from corrosion.Backfill will work in any type of soil. Installation will be done in 2 separate digging of depth 4mtr with manual digging and connected with copper strip Compound and add water only one time to settle compound . Other area of the trench will be filled by virgin/gardening soil to increase conductivity of the earthing, both earthings will be connected and testing as specified and directed with 32x6mm copper strip all as specified and directed incl taking out old unsv earthing . NOTE :- (i) Cost of Main earthing lead 32x6 mm copper strip from earth electode to test point upto 7.5mm deemed to be included in unit rate. (ii) Adequate qty of ground enhanced material deemed to be included in unit rate to obtain desired result.

M&L for earthing complete with copper plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 3.15 mm thick burried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 3.25 metre deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 2.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt, filling in alternate layer and electrode connections by using copper strip 25 x 3 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of copper and protected by light grade 40 mm dia GI pipe connected to earth test point, and GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1: 2: 4 type C2 including excavation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 mtr all as specified and as shown on Plate No 3 of SSR Part I ,incl taking out old unsv earthing all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.Note:- (i) Earth resistence shall be less than 2 ohm (ii) cost extra depth to achive the reqd/result demanded to be (iii) RCC pit cover shall be pre cast of RCC ((1:2:4)type B1,80 mm thick reinforced with XPM not less than 4Kg /sqm.(iv) PCC chember shall be constructed at least 500 mm away from the edge of earth pit.(v) Rate shall be incld copper strip and copper Gi Protection of pipe of length 7.5m ,excess beyound 7.5m length reqd at site shall be measured and paid separetly.

M&L for earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode of size 60cm x 60cm x 6mm thick burried directly in ground vertically at a depth not less than 2.25 metre deep below normal ground level with top edge of the plate not less than 1.5 metre below normal ground level surrounded from all sides by 15 cm thick packed layer of charcoal dust and common salt, filling in alternate layer and electrode connections by using galvanized iron earth lead wire GI strip 32x6 mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers made of galvanized iron or steel and protected by light grade 40 mm dia GI pipe connected to main switch board or main control board, and GI pipe light grade 20 mm bore for watering and including funnel, wire mesh, RCC pit cover and PCC chamber pit with PCC 1: 2: 4 type C2 including excavation and earth work, disposal of surplus soil to a distance not exc. 50 mtr all as specified and as shown on Plate No 3 of SSR Part-I,incl taking out old unsv earthing all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Supply and fixing Earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or burried in ground or drawing in conduit or any other situation for loop earthing etc copper strips of size 32mm x 6 mm, including brazing all as directed incl taking out old unsv strip.

M&L for Material and labour Aluminium strip 25 X 3.15 mm with saddles and fixing screws Etc. for roof conductor and down conductor above ground level incl taking out old unsv strip.

M&L for Air termination single pointed aluminium rod 12mm dia and 300 mm long including conneting with aluminium strip all as derected incl taking out old unsv airtermination rod.

M&L for earthing pit Indicator made of MS angle Iron of 30x30x6mm of height 600mm and CRCA sheet for display of EP No & ER value in ohm on size 30cmx20cmx4mm, shall be fixed with minimum 02 Nos of nuts & bolts. The MS Angle iron 30x30x6mm, adequate to ensure minimum planting depth of 300mm below ground & 300mm above ground level. The angle iron at the location of painting should be splitted and bend to shape to produce better grip and should be embedded in PCC (1:3:6) type C-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate and of size 200x200x300 mm. The MS angle Iron shall be painted with synthetic enamal paint over cost of red oxide primer throughtout the length and thereafter plate of size 30cmx20cmx4mm painted with 2 coats of synthetic enamal paint and bitumenous paint in the portion of planting depth. Writing of letter "EP No ___, ER value in ohm and date of testing all as directed and specified by Engineer-in-charge.

Taking down old unserviceable GI pipe any size all as specified and directed.
