SOIL INVESTIGATION FOR PROVISION OF 05 NOS SECURITY BASTION AT CF ARUVANKADU

Amount

a) Mobilisation of Drilling equipment and labour to the work site and demobilisation after the completion of work including local shifting. ( Approx distance of all the sites from main factory bldg is as follows: Site-1: - near factory, Site-2: PSK katery - 12 KM, Site 3: - Ashram point - 6KM, Site 4 & 5:- near catchment area - 9 KM) b) Boring 5 bore holes through all kinds of soil upto a depth of 10m (min) for bldgs below ground level or upto strain value > 50 or hardstrata whichever is greater , collecting samples and conducting necessary field tests as per the following parameters:- i) Depth of bore holes may be taken minimum 10mtrs or N value reaches 50, whichever is earlier and 01 bore hole upto a depth of 10m or hard strata whichever is greater. ii) SPT value at every 0.75m intervals and change of strata. iii) Grain size distribution and analysis iv) Soil characterstics. v) Value of cohesion and angle of internal friction.

vi) Recommended SBC at different depths of foundation vii) SBC and its calculation based on 'N' value shear strength and settlement criteria should be worked out. viii) Depth of water table (maximum and minimum) ix) Depth of expansive soil and its properties .if any x) Recommendations for type of foundation xi) Recommendation as regards possibility of liquefaction of soil in case of standard or partially saturated or uncompacted sandy soil. xii) Recommendation for filling under floors and filling under protection including plinth protection xiii) Chemaical analysis of soil xiv) Deatils of soil profile and bore logs xv) Any other recommendations Note: Soil investigation & the report shall be as per NBC,IS 1892,2131,2132,1888,2720,1904,6403,8009,1498,4966 and SP 36 in general. c) Preperation and submission of detailed soil investigation report with recommendations on type of foundation, Depth of foundation and Design safe bearing capacity with soil profiling etc in dupliacte as per the parameters specified in item 1 b) above including site plan showing the no of bore holes, location and inter distance from each other.
