Providing and constructing Gabion structure for erosion control, river training works and protection works with polymer wire crates of size 2.00x1.00x1.00 mtr each divided into 1.00 mtr compartments by cross netting with mesh opening size 150x150 mm, made from 9 mm polymer rope (PP) having a weight of 40 gm/mtr with a tolerance of + or - 8%, 1560 kg breaking strength (min) and after 1000 cycles of abrasion the rope shall be subjected to tensile test as per IS: 7071 (Part-IV)- 1986, which shall be more than 85% of the original breaking strength of the rope, crates shall be filled with boulders with least dimension of 200 mm, all loose ends to be securely tied with 9 mm polymer wire as per the specification of gabions and as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.
