Supply & Installation and testing of maintenance free earth consisting as per RDSO Specification No. RDSO/Spn/197/2016 with latest amendments and Latest RDSO TAN 3006 dated:08/01/2025 consisting of single earth pit which includes supply of 35Sq.mm/16 Sq. mm/10Sq.mm mutlistrand single core PVC insulated copper cable asper IS 694 for connecting main earth electrode to MEEB in the equipment room in duplicate as per manufactures recommendation and as per RDSO specification as follows: As per Drg no SDO/RDSO/E&B/001 dated 19.09.08 set 223471.48 a) Copper bonded steel electrode of 3.0Meter long,17mm dia with copper bonding thickness of minimum 250 microns and UL listed and marked- 1No. b) Earth enhancement compound of RDSO approved brand supplied in sealed bag of minimum 10Kg-3Nos. c) Copper strip of 150 x 25 x 6mm to terminate earth rod- 1No. d) Copper strip of 300x 25x 6mm (MEEB)-1No. e) Copper strip of 150 x 25 x 6mm (SEEB) - 1No. f) Digging /Auguring /Borring of single earth pit of 10mm to 125mm dia to the depth of approximate 2.8M g) Insertion of 3Mtr electrode and penetrating it atleast 0.2 Mtr. By pushing gently with sledge hammer where the neutral soil is assumed. h) Filling of earth pit with earth enhancement compound (EEC) in slurry form and back filling. i) Carrying out exothermic weld connection of single earth electrode to a copper tape of 150 x 25 x 6mm j) Carrying out exothermal weld connection on the copper tape of 150 x 25 x 6mm on earth electrode for connecting two 35Sq.mm cable for redundancy k) The exo thermal welding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firms which include graphite moulds, Clamps, Weld metal powder. l) 300 x 300 x 300 mm (inside dimensions) Concrete earth pit with a concrete lid approximately 50mm thick with pulling hook shall be provided to cover the pit. Back Side of the cover will be painted in black and date of testing and average resistance value shall be written. Note: The Value of earth resistance per DP shall not be more than 1 ohm, for achieving this value if more than one no. of earth pits are required then the same will be provided by contractor itself, no extra payment will be made for that.(as per site condition we consider extra rate)
