M&L for renewal of chemical earthing with copper earth plate electrode of size 900mmx600mmx5mm thick buried directly in ground earth pit not less than 3.6 m from ground level and size 1.2mx1.2m connected to copper strip of size 32x6 mm thick by means of brazing with copper plate and connected to earth dolly of main DB /Main switch including construction of earth chamber with PCC (1:3:6) type C-0 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate), precast cover slab 40mm thick in RCC (1:2:4) type B-1 (using 20mm graded stone aggregate) reinforced with 8mm dia MS bar @ 150mm c/c spacing both ways with one no handle of 10mm dia MS rod for lifting, 25mm bore GI watering pipe medium grade and copper strip protected by suitable size of GI pipe medium grade with GI fittings, wire mesh, funnel including filling of charcoal and salt crystal in alternate layers and filling of a layers of magnesium sulphate crystal on top and balance volume shall be filled with soft soil (in case of rocky terrain) including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil and connected to earthing test point including testing after completion with and including taking out old earthing complete all as specified and directed.

Notes for Item no. 1.00 :- (a) The desired level of earth resistance should not be more than 0.5 Ohms. (b) One metre GI watering pipe shall be kept outside for connection of running water. (c) The minimum quantity of charcoal, salt and magnesium sulphate crystal shall be given as under :- (i) Charcoal - 250 Kg (ii) Salt crystal - 200 Kg (iii) Magnesium sulphate crystal - 100 kg (d) Copper strip and protection pipe up to 7.5m deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted and beyond 7.5m shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L for Test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze size 75x75x25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25 mm long hexs head screw complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Earth continuty conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required lead of size 20x3.15mm copper strip complete all as specified and directd.

Excavation in trenches in hard/dense soil (Cutting of Road/Hard standing) not exceeding 1.5m wide and not exceeding 1.5m in depth for laying/taking out of cable and getting out soil including the side and forming bottom surface to required level complete all as specified and directed.

M & L GI pipe light grade with all fittings laid in trenches and under road/floor/walls etc. of size 50mm bore including making disturbed surface good to match with the existing complete all as specified and directed.
