PROVISION OF RUNWAY RESURFACING AND ALLIED WORKS AT INS PARUNDU RAMNAD

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting with power roller exc 8 tonne and n exc 12 tonne complete all as specifed and as directed.

M&L Laying and compacting 200 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Grade V as specified Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, in a single layer over compacted subgrade with natural sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination there of as per the grading required, the materials are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-100 KN static weight for achieving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density, Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013. Note: Before laying GSB for rigid pavement the compacted subgrade shall be tested for 'K' value of 4.5 Kg/SqCm/Cm and the quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of testing.

M&L WBM 200 mm thick in two layers each 100 mm thick [compacted thickness] with coarse aggregate using granite trap or basalt of grading 1 (90 mm to 40 mm size) spread rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber complete all as specifed and as directed.

M&L preparing water bound macadam surface by brushing with wire brush for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc., complete all as specified and directed.

M&L Applying evenly a tack coat of Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS: 8887 at a rate of application of 0.3 kg/sqm on WBM surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer after cleaning of existing surface complete all as specifed and as directed. Note: This item shall be operated after 24 hours of application of prime coat SS-1 over the WBM surface

M&L for bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete using VG-30 bitumen 40 mm thick consolidated with 5.50% binder content by the weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material exc. 1.50 km but n exc. 5km and depositing where directed at a level n exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Earth work in excavation in any kind of soil by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) means over areas exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10sqm on plan including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5m, complete all as specified and as directed.
