Excavation in trenches not exc. 1.5 m wide and not exc 1.5 mtr deep in soft/losse soil) for laying of cables or GI pipe and getting out and levelling of bottom suface to required level all as specified and directed by Engineer- in- Charge.

Material and labour for river washed and screened, dry sand for filling in trenches below and around underground cables for cushioning of cables etc, complete all as specified. Note : Measurement shall be taken after punning down.

Returning filling in,. Including spreading, levelling,. Watering and well ramming soil in layers not exceeding 25 cm thick all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated material (ie soil) from site to a distance n. exc 50 mtrs away and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 mtr above the starting point all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

S&F sub class B bricks having minimum compressive strength 75 Kg/ Sq cm laid in trenches for cable protection etc complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Laying only old bricks obtained from excavation complete all as directed.

Supplying and laying in replacement un-reinforced precast concrete cable cover, class HV, type 1, flat size 300mmx 180mm x 40mm.

Laying only old HT cable cover obtained from excavation complete all as directed.

Testing the cables with high voltage DC testing machine and locating the fault in the cables by fault locating machine to pin point exact position of fault, disconnecting faulty 11 KV HT cables of different sizes from both ends, removal of Fault, Re-connections and testing of cables after removal of fault complete all as specified and directed. Note: (a) 11 KV HT cable & joints shall be measured and paid seperately under respective items of schedule. (b) Retrieved old serviceable cable cover/bricks will be laid in trenches for cable protection. If extra PCC cover/bricks and sand required at site shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQs. (c) Excavation and earth work will be measured and paid for seperately under respective items of schedule.
