SPL REPAIR TO INTERNAL ROADS OF DIFFERENT LOCATIONS IN THE AOR B/R-I AND SPL REPAIR OF EXISTING 400 MTR X 3.6 MTR ROAD FROM OFFICERS RESIDENCE TO MAIN OFFICE COMPLEX IN THE AOR B/R-II UNDER GE 969 EWS

M&L for repairs to surfaces of macadam roads by scarifying or picking gravelled macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm and exc 50 mm and n.exc 100 mm deep, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 15cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM laying in two layer(each 7.5cm thick), with coarse aggregates of grading 2 Granite, trap or Basalt(63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required using 8 to 12 tonne power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

All as per ser item No 1 here-in-before but except material and in one layer of 7.5 cm thick (consolidated thickness), complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Old material retrieved from ser item No 01 here-in-before shall be reused.

M&L Preparing unsurfaced water bound macadam/ water mix macadam by brushing wiith wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at viscosity grade paving bitumen (VG-10) @10 kg per 10 sqm etc complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for premixed bituminous macadam (Consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with minimum 4% binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumin (VG-30) by the hot mix process and laid by mechanical paver rolled with 8 to 12 tonne capacity power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

M&L bituminous premix semi-dense asphaltic concrete 40 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder (paving bitumen grade VG-30) content by weight of total mix spread evenly with mechanical paver to desired thickness and to the correct camber, rolled and compacted to required camber & gradient with 8 to 12 tonne power roller/vibratory roller/double drum or tandem roller as suitable complete all as specified and directed by Engr-In-Charge.

M&L for bituminious premix semi dense alphaltic concrete 30mm (consolidated thickness) using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 with 5,5% binder content by weight of total mix, mixed in computerised Hot Mix Plant and spread by means of Self Propelled Mechanical Paver, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient by using mechanical power road roller of 8 to 12 tonne capacity including applying evenly tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen of grade VG10 @ 5 Kg/ 10 Sqm on existing black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed. Notes for ser item No 5 to 7: (i) Preparation of mix in hotmix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible and has to maintain the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with depolyment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable. (ii) Central computerised Hot mix plant of adequate capacity shall be used for heating and mixing of constituents for preparation of bituminous macadam and the same shall be laid with mechanical sensor paver all as specified and directed. (iii) Over newly provided bituminous macadam surfaces, further bituminous work, if ordered, shall be provided simultaneously after provision of bituminous macadam & nο separate payment for provision of tack coat for bonding between the bituminous macadam & further bituminous work necessitated due to the time period gap or otherwise shall be made for separately. (iv) The Design mix shall be carried out from the Zonal lab/ Govt approved lab/Govt Engr College as approved by GE and design mix shall be got approved by GE before execution of the work. (v) The cost of all the above aspects shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates of above item.

M & L for preparing black top surface and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using viscosity grade paving bitumen (VG-10) @ 5 kg/10 sqm and laying Bituminous pre-mix semi dense asphaltic concrete (SDAC) 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix using paving bitumen VG-30 grade, rolled with 8 to 12 Tonne capacity power roller and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for painting lines, dashes arrows, letters, etc on raods, pavements and the like exc 10 cm wide with thermoplastic road marking paint with adequate coat white or golden yellow complete all as specified and directed.

S&F cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and as directed.
