REPAIR/RESURFACING OF ROAD WORK AT BILLETS AREA OF No 01 AND No 02 AREA OF 1 WING AIR FORCE STN SRINAGAR

Repair to pot holes any depth not exceeding 1.0 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges to at least 25mm the depth, making good by applying tack coat VG-30 @ 5 kg per 10 sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam, sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10 sq m, blinded 0.09 cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings).depth of potholes exc 30 mm complete all as specified and directed.

Scarify or picking graveled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exceeding 400 Square metre ( exceeding 50 mm but n exc 100mm deep) including removing the material to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and stacking complete all specified and including rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting through power roller of capacity exc 8 ton but not exc 12 tone complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for preparation unsurfaced WBM surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc.sweeping with brooms and finaly fanning the clean surfaces with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc.and applying evenly a priming tack coat with bituminious primer using paving bitumen VG-30 at 10 Kg per 10 Sqm complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade(50-70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness) up to maximum 75mm or less complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Preparing black top surfaces brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms as and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove all loose dirt’s etc and applying evenly a priming tack coat on existing black top surfaces with paving bitumen primer using bitumen VG-30 paving grade(80-100 Penetration) @ 5 Kg/10 Sqm with tar boiler complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for Bitumenous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 40mm thick consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade(50-70 Penetration) binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compectad to required camber and gradient,complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-charge.(To be prepared in hot mix plant and to be laid through machanical paver.) Note :- (a) preparation of mix in hot mix plant,spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in PS shall be carried out.Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the Contractor shall be responsible for maintaning the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compected.unit rate against these items shall be included for carrying and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN as per SSR Part-I Clause No-20. B .4 (c) Making suitable speed breakers/Humps as per specification laid down in IRC-99

Material and labour for preparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n. exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing in repair convex mirror of 800mm dia made of PC material provided with suitable MS pipe post duly powder coated as per site requirement. It should have clear & definite mirror immage having 130 degree of viewing angle as per manufactures instructions complete all as specified and directed.
