The contractor shall consider the following details in their item rates, wherever required:
1 Supporting rigid steel framework of 3 MM thick for LT panel.
2 Cubicle types 2 MM thick CRCA to be used for fabrication of Panel / Board.
3 Complete with inter connections and distribution busbars.
4 Complete internal earthing earthing with same size of aluminium / copper strip as per BOQ.
All work shall be executed as per drawing specification and instruction of Engineer-in-charge and shall include supply and installation at site of all the equipments, ancillary
5 materials like channels support for placing Panel, all such items whatsoever, which may be required to fulfill the complete installation as per IS / IEC / international rule and
mandatory statutory bodies.
6 All panel and its breaker shall be of BMS compatible and all the information / status to be provided to the BMS vendor at one point.
7 In case of damage of any existing work, the same has to be made good / restored to original condition by the contractor at his own cost.
8 The rates shall be prepared in conjunction and with reference to the contents of BOQ, Specifications and Drawings.
The items given in this schedule are provisional. The Tenderer shall be paid for the actual quantity of work executed as measured at the site at the rates tendered. The Client
reserves the right to increase or decrease any of the quantities, or to ommit totally any item of work. Any claim by the Tenderer on these accounts will not be entertained.
The Tenderer shall visit the site and shall satisfy himself as to the conditions under which the work is to be performed. He shall also check and ascertain the location of any
10 existing structure or equipment or any other situation which may affect the work. No extra claim as a consequence of ignorance or on ground of insufficient description will be
allowed at a later date.
11 Protection relay as per BOQ & Specification including SLD shall be of Numerical Type.
12 Any conflict in rating / size / type / specification etc mentioned in BOQ & technical specification and SLD as the case may be. The more stringent condition shall be applicable.
13 Proper bonding to earth.
14 Painting / lettering on Breakers and distribution boards, the location they serve, providing on each panel its circuit diagram.
15 Providing cable clamps / supports within distribution boards cable alley.
16 TPN ACB’s / MCCB’s shall mean 3/4 Pole ACB’s / MCCB’s with adequate size of neutral link.
17 All MCB’s shall be of minimum 10 kA breaking capacity.
18 All motor feeders MCCBs shall be of motor duty.
19 Distribution panels shall be Powder Coated with Siemens gray paint shade no. RAL-7032 of IS-5.
20 Degree of protection for following type of distribution panel enclosure shall be as per IS:13947-1993.
21 IP 42 for indoor LT panels.
22 IP 55 for outdoor LT panels with double door enclosure with canopy.
23 All MCCB’s shall be provided with operating mechanism for door interlock.
24 Current density for aluminum shall be of 0.75 A / SQMM of rated current of bus bars and for copper shall be 1.0 A / SQMM of rated current of bus bars.
25 All measuring instruments (Meters) shall be of digital electronic with LED of approved make and compatible with BAS.

26 All hinged door shall be earthed through 4.0 sq mm tinned braided copper wire.
27 Pad locking of Switch board doors.
28 Pad locking of MCCB’s handles in “OFF” Position.
Additional set of C.T.s, potential free contacts, connectors, contactors with wiring etc are to be provided for BMS including space required for various transducers in Main
Switch Board sections. Only transducers shall be supplied by BMS contactor.
All MCB’s used for protection of resistive and lightly inductive load shall be type “B” characteristic and inductive (motor) load shall be of type “C” characteristic and discharge
lamps and UPS etc. shall be of type D characteristic.
31 All incoming and outgoing air circuit breakers shall be placed on middle portion of the vertical in single tier formation.
32 All PTs / control transformer shall be provided with centre tap earth secondary.
33 All DOL & Star-Delta Starters shall be provided with SPPR (single phase preventor relay) and 2 Nos. of Aux. Contacts for Remote operation / monitor.
34 The Panel fabricator shall provide Al./ Copper Bus-bars link of similer rating from Breakers.
35 All MCCB’s shall be with thermal magnetic releases upto 200 amps and inbuilt miroprocessor based above 250 amps capacity, unless specified otherwise.
36 Breaker release & Multifunction meter shall have suitable communication port to transfer the required information to BMS Vendor at BMS console.
37 Entire work shall be completed in compliance with IS / IEC / mandatory statutory / local bodies.
38 Each vertical section to be provided with illumination in cable alley.
39 Forced ventilation to be provided in each vertical section having breaker rating of 800 A or more than 800 A.
40 All control & protection wire shall be FRLS color code wire and not less than of 2.5 MM SQ in size.
41 Padlocking arrangement to be provided in off position of all incoming & outgoing breakers.
All interconnections from the bus bars to individual MCCB and MCCB to contactor/ reactor and contactor / reactor to terminal blocks for Automatic Switching "ON" and "OFF"
shall be done by suitable size of Uninyvin wire in APFCR Panel / Section.
43 Undrilled Removable Gland Plate shall be of CRCA not less than 3 MM Thick.
44 Up to 63 A feeder, FRLS color code cu wire of suitable size to be used and above 63 A feeder al bus bar to be used
45 Powder coating 11 Tank Process.
46 Bus bars shall be insulated by colour coded PVC heat shrinkAble sleeves & clip on shrouds for joints.
The relay's provided is for guidelines only. It is the responsibility of contractor to start the DG Set (Automatic) incase of grid supply failure and close the grid breaker incase of
restoration of normal suply and open the DG breaker at the same time.
48 It is responsibility of Vendor, Shop Drawing of all the Panels shall have to be got approved from EIC/ Consultant.
All live accessible parts shall be shrouded and all equipment shall be finger touch proof. The bus bar insulation shall be with heat shrinkAble sleeves. SMC/DMC shrouds and
bus bar supports shall be used.
50 The panel shall have provision for entry of all cables from top side
51 Suitable tinned copper extension links of similer rating for incoming / outgoing cables shall be provided wherever required.
52 Control circuits includes breaker control switch, auto manual selector switch, spring charging trip indication Timer, control wiring, Auxiliary contactors MCB's as required at site.
53 All the incomer breakers & bus couplers shall be interlocked to avoid parallel operation.
54 All fault level breaking capacity indicates I.C.S. value at 415 volts. (ICS = ICU = ICW = 100%) for 1 sec.
55 Space heater / light / air filter shall be provided for each vertical compartment.
56 All ACB's shall have all standard accessories such as CT's Arc Chute, Safety shutters etc.
57 Link and drops from ACB / MCCB shall be designed for full rated current of ACB / MCCB rating at same amount of current density as of main bus bar.
58 All MCCB's shall be provided with rotary operated mechanism & pad locking arrangement.
59 All ACB's shall have inbuilt microprocessor based release as specified.
60 Bus bar sizing calculations shall be submitted for approval before taking up the manufacturing of the panels.

67 All cable shall be laid with one diameter gap or as specified or as called for.
68 All cable shall be IS approved.
69 Fire retardent paint one meter on both side of cable at termination as per specifications.
70 All cutouts / sleeves shall be sealed with fire retardant sealent as approved.
71 Leave sufficient cable loops at both the cable ends.
The contractor shall submit fabrication drawings for work involved based on construction drawings (that may be issued during construction period) for approval by the Engineer-
in-Charge. The fabrication work shall start only after approval of the fabrication drawings. Any change required in the fabrication drawings shall be carried out at no extra cost.
73 Fabrication shall be in a perfect Architectural workmanship manner and as provided in Section V & VI of IS 800 & IS 7215.
74 Welding shall be carried out by qualified welders.
75 Electrodes for welding, the procedure, selection, test and inspection shall confirm to provisions in IS 816, IS 818, IS 822, & IS 833.
76 Erection/ hoisting shall commence only after passing of fabricated parts by the Engineer-in-Charge.
77 In case of damage of any existing work, the same has to be made good/restored to original condition by the contractor at his own cost.
78 Preparation and submission of shop & as built drawings inclusive of:
a a. Cable Schedule.
b b. Schematic Diagrams.
c c. Equipment Layout.
d d. Cable routing drawings.
e e. Earthing details and other related drawings
f f. Vendor shop drawings.
g g. Log of all pre-commissioning test.
Contractor is advised to visit the site before quoting the tender to assess the quantum of work involved in this installation. These equipment shall be installed in project
complex. All work related to this installation shall be in the scope of work of contactor. NO deviation in this account whatsoever shall be accepted. All tool tackles required for
shifting, moving, hoisting, loading, unloading and fixing etc. of equipment shall be in the scope of work of contractor. All item to be brought at site in unassembled form and to
be assembled at site before / after installation at its place.
80 Inspection & Survey at site, Collection of required information from site, Supply, Installation, Testing and commissioning of.
81 The rates quoted shall also include for providing any temporary work or preparatory work required to execute the particular items of work.
82 Site management and supervision, labour and all costs in connection therewith, including the cost of overtime, night working etc. as necessary.
83 The fabrication and installation of all goods and all costs in connection therewith.
84 Delivery as appropriate
85 Paint, tools, equipment and all cost in connection with site facilities and all other costs of items that are necessary to execute the Work.
86 Wastage of Material
87 Mobilization costs, overhead costs and profit.

The contractor who is quoting the tender shall get themselves well versed with the site condition. The scope of work includes masonry work and painting. The contractor
should be well versed with all the activity and should have specialised team of workers for the same.
The work shall be carried out as per specifications in the tender schedule / latest IS /IEC Specifications, along with the correction slips, issued up to date of
acceptance of tender in case of doubt the decision of the client shall be final and binding on the Contractor.
The serviceable materials out of the dismantled materials if any will be properly stacked by the Contractor as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Decision of the
client's representative on the service-ability of the dismantled materials shall be final and binding on the Contractor.
Contractor shall take adequate safety precautions to avoid any accident etc. at site. Shall erect proper barricades, sign boards, lights, etc. shall provide safety belts,
96 safety shoes, head gears (helmet I.S.I standard) and shall be fully responsible for any criminal & civil liabilities. All safety arrangements are to be made by contractor
at his own cost.
No labor or material rate escalation claims will be entertained from the contractor as this work has to be completed within 3 Months from the date of commencement of work at
98 Rates quoted shall be applicable equally to all floors and shall include all lifts and leads. No extras on this account shall be payable.
The contractor shall be fully responsible for any damage caused by the UP-GRADATION & RE-MODELING WORK to the existing installation and the contractor will have to
repair and rectify any such damage in at his own risk and cost
The Contractor shall be paid for the actual quantity and quality of work done, as measured at site on the rates quoted by him, on the basis of a payment certificate
issued by engineer-in-charge.
102 Contractor shall not deviate from the drawings and Architects interpretation of the drawings shall be final and without appeal.
Specifications shall indicate the qualities, methods, and bill of quantities shall indicate the quantum and rates. Any work indicated in drawings and not mentioned in the
specifications or vice versa shall be furnished as fully set forth in both.
The Contractor shall comply with and give all notices required by any Govt. Authority and instrument, rule or order made under an act of parliament or state assembly
or any regulation or bye-law of the local body, relating to the work and indemnify the Owner against any such liability arising out of non compliance of the law.
If the Contractor fails to complete the works by the date specified or within any extended time granted to him, the Contractor shall allow the Owner to deduct a
106 sum calculated at the agreed liquidated damages, from the money due to him for the period the work remained incomplete @ 50,000/- per day subject to a maximum
of 10% of the cost of work.
107 Contractor shall extend complete coordination to other agencies working on the same site.
Tenderers are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders as to the nature of constitution already
existing (so far as in practicable), the form and nature of the site, the means of access to the site, the accommodation they may require and in general shall themselves obtain
all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their tender. A tenderer shall be deemed to have full
knowledge of the site whether he inspects it or not and no extra charges consequent on any
114 All repairs and patch work shall be neatly carried out to match with the original finish and tothe entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge.
115 All materials to be incorporated in the work, shall be in accordance with the specifications laid down.
116 The contractor shall be required to get necessary tests carried out on materials / work from an approved laboratory as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
Material shall be brought to site in original packings. Manufacturer’s test certificates and /or invoices for all materials shall be handed over to the Engineer-in-charge on
117 demand. In case of any contradiction between the approved makes specified and mentioned in the Specifications or Schedule of Quantities, the decision of the Engineer-in-
charge shall be final and binding on the contractor.
The materials brought to site before being incorporated in the work shall be inspected, tested at manufacturer's factory. Any work, on which such materials are used without
118 prior inspection (and when necessary testing) and without approval and written permission of the engineer-in-charge, is liable to be considered as defective and not
Mandatory tests and their frequency is prescribed in the respective IS / IEC. However, additional tests may be required for such materials and items of works not covered by
the said specifications. In such cases, engineer-in-charge's direction will be final and binding.
In case any materials / work is found sub-standard, the same shall be rejected by the Engineer-in-charge and the same shall be removed from the site of work within
48 hours, failing which the same shall be got removed by the Engineer-in-charge at the risk and cost of the contractor without giving any further notice and time.
The rates shall be inclusive of making any holes in walls / RCC work for fixing any frame work and making good the structure to its original shape and finish & no extra claim
shall be admissible on this account.
On the completion of the works the contractor shall clear away and remove from the site all constructional plant & equipment, surplus materials, rubbish and temporary works
of every kind, and leave the whole of the site and works clean and in a work man like condition to the satisfaction of the engineer-in-charge.
Prior to dispatch of equipment, engineer-in-charge shall inspect the same at the manufacturer's works and the contractor shall provide secure every reasonable access and
facility at the manufacturers works for inspection, for witness of all acceptance and routine tests as per relevant Indian Standards shall be carried out. Contractor shall give a
reasonable notice of about 10 days for the purpose of test, and witness of all major equipments at his own cost. All arrangement for inspection at manufacturer's works by
client and consultant shall scope of contractor.
125 Errors / inconsistencies discovered in the drawings shall be instantly brought to the notice of the consultant for interpretation and correction, if any.
126 Providing and fixing junction boxes with covers including painting.

148 Earthing system shall comply to IS:3043 latest revision.
149 All earthing pits shall be interconnected.
150 All equipment motors, DB’s, panels to be connected on both ends (double earthing) with suitable strip / wires.
151 Soil resistingly test shall be conducted of the area where earth pits are to be located.
Heat shrinkable PVC sleeves shall be considered wherever the srips are crossing each other. The neutral and body earthing strips should not cross each other without any
insulation sleeves and the contractor shall not charged extra cost.
153 Entire work shall be completed in compliance with IS / IEC / international rule and mandatory statutory / local bodies.
154 All medium voltage equipment shall be earthed by two separate and distinct connections with earth.
155 As far as possible, all earth connections shall be visible for inspection.
Plate electrodes shall be buried such that top edge is at a depth not more than 15 M from the surface of the ground. However, the depth at which plates are set should be such
as to ensure that the surrounding soil is always damp.
The materials used for making connections have to be compatible with the earth rod and the copper earthing conductor so that galvanic corrosion is minimized. In all cases,
the connections have to be mechanically strong.
158 The cross-sectional area of every protective conductor which does not form part of the supply cable or cable enclosure shall be in any case, not less than main conductor.
159 Minimum 1Ω Resistance should be available at a distance of 15 Mtr. IR value of Earth resistance is less than 10 Ω.
Jointing of earthing strip to strip shall be overlapped of min 75 MM and for earthing wire overlapping shall be min 50 MM. Joint shall be brazed all across overlapping of
conductor and then minimum three nut bolt of suitable size shall be tighten
The interconnection strip CU/GI, as far as practicable, shall be buried below permanent moisture level but in no case not less than 800 MMM below finished level of Manhole
cover of concerned earth pit.
Plate Electrode shall be positioned vertically in soil and connection conductor shall be brazed full length of plate and also suitable size of nut bolt of GI/SS at a interval of 75
MM shall be provided.
163 Heat shrinkable insulated sleeve shall be of 1.1 kV Grade.
