Material and labour Water proofing treatment of existing roofs as per details given below after complete removal of existing water proofing treatment and expose of top surface of RCC slab of any thickness, any type by stripping out old tar felt over roofs, parapets, chimney stacks etc laid horizontally or vertically including taking out layer of cement plaster etc and cleaning the surface with water and using wire brush including removing debris to outside the MOD land complete all as specified and as directed :-

(a) Dismantling existing cement concrete/ roof tiles on roof including removing debris to outside MOD land as directed.

(b) Bring upto the slope by providing PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregates of average thickness of 50 mm.

(c) Rendering 10mm thick in CM 1:3 on concrete roof surfaces and finish the surface even and smooth without using extra cement including mixing water proofing compound as per manufacturer’s instructions.

(d) Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Remove all existing bitumen coatings completely by using intense wire brushing, high speed water jet & vacuum cleaner for thorough cleaning of the surface to avoid ‘Peeling off’ problems.

(e) All cracks at corner joints, channels and parapets should be properly treated. For filling cracks upto 3mm crack seal material of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical to be used. Bigger cracks, damaged portions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified cement mortar.

(f) Apply a coat of self priming smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical with 33% dilution with water using brush/roller on newly plastered surface after curing as per IS-456 and allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours (dilution & forced coverage requirement strictly as per manufacturer’s instructions).

(g) After the primed surface has dried, apply first coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same primed surface & allow to dry for 4 to 6 hours.

(h) Prepare for apply 2nd coat of water proofing smart care damp proof ultra (Code 5698) of M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical using brush/roller on the same surface. The temp to be maintained 25 to 35° C through out the all above application work.

(j) In case of severe dampness an additional coat of damp proof materials to be applied.

Note for item No 01 to 10:- (i) The work shall be carried out through authorized and qualified applicators of the following manufacturers only. MOU to be submitted before commencement of work. Make : M/s Asian paints or equivalent in M/s Dr Fixit or M/s Pidilite or M/s Sika chemical

(ii) A performance guarantee certificate for 10 years shall be submitted by the contractor to the GE on completion of work as specified.

(iii) The unit quoted rate is deemed to include taking down of water pipeline, tanks, wires (etc) found on roof and refix at the original position after complete treatment of roof.

(iv) The unit quoted rate shall be inclusive of material, all labours, tools and plants including scaffolding required for working upto approx 7.5 mtr height from natural ground level.

(v) The unit rate quoted for item is deemed to include for Removing of accumulated earth of any width and depth upto 15 cm cleaning/cutting the grass with hand operated petrol/kerosene driven grass cutting machine and removing the grass waste around 3 m from plinth protection to outside MD land.

(vi) Adoption of necessary safety arrangement like safety belts, ropes, helmets, netting etc. which are required for safety of working labour at height exceeding 3 to 25 mtr height shall be mandatary and deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

Material and labour for Repair of leakage/seepage from the Nahani trap/ floor trap of kitchen/ bathroom/ washbasin of the upper Qtr, in any position at any height, complete including change of floor trap, PVC horizontal pipe embedded in floor in bathroom or kitchen making good to the damage portion of flooring, laying and matching of tiles in the existing flooring, complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge

Material and labour for Repair of leakage/seepage from the wall/ door bend /door tee/ 'Y' junction/ 'T' Junction of soil pipe / waste pipe/ vent pipe of kitchen/ bathroom/WC of the upper Qtr or at the ground floor Qtr including change of any damage soil waste pipes or fittings of any shape, specification and size, making good to the damage portion of wall with brick work in cement mortar 1:6 or cement concrete 1:2:4 and plastering to wall in CM 1:4 and matching to existing wall complete to avoid the leakage/ seepage at the site of work as directed and specified by the Engineer -in- charge

Note for item No 18 :- (a) Find out main cause of leakage and take necessary steps to resolve / rectify. (b) Replace existing tiles in case leakage through NT/FT. Note for item No 60 :- (a) Rate quoted by the tenderer shall be deemed to inclusive of double steel scaffolding. (b) Contractor shall provided safety gears to his workers at his own cost and safety pre caution to avoid accidents.

Material and labour for Complete removal of existing treatment of any type/description such as distempering work, internal emulsion etc from internal surfaces of walls & ceiling with mechanical means/ grinder, then applying wall care putty on internal surfaces of walls/ceilings as required for desired smoothness and levelling of surfaces in two by using ready made wall care putty including sand papering after filling the putty to make surface smooth and ready for receiving apply Two coats of plastic emulsion all specificed and as directed. Notes : (i) The prepared surface after wall putty, the contractor will inform to the Engineer-in-Charge for site inspection before applying further surface finishes. Please note that the further surface finishes work will start only after approval of the prepared surface from the Engineer-in-Charge .

Material and labour Hacking out old broken glass (any thickness, size, quality or description) from wooden frames/steel frames glazed with putty or fixed with beads and material and labour for 4mm plain sheet glass ordinary quality and glazed with oil putty or fixed with fillets 2nd class hard wood of sectional area not exc 3 Sqcm and glass not exc 0.5 sqm each pane complete all as specified and directed.

Treatment of the sunken floor slab comprises of the following specification and all as specified Make :- Dr Fixit/ M/s Sika india Pvt Ltd/ STP Ltd/ M/s Fosroc Chemicals

(a) Demolition of cement concrete filling of any description in sunken portion in toilet and removing debris outside MD land.

(b) Cleaning the sunken/ lowered portion of RCC slab surfaces (including vertical total depth plus skirting height) of floors by wire brush, chisel out any mortar sticking to the surface and brooming completely. 40mm thick avg PCC 1:2:4 type B-0 using 12.5mm graded aggregate as in padding conc to achieve proper slope including cutting holes in bricks or RCC wall for spout (WPC shall be measured and paid separately)

(c) Rendering of uneven surfaces with 10mm thick CM 1:4 mixed with integral water proofing compound @ 3% by wt of cement consumed. Fill it with water and check dampness and seepage. Where dampness/ seepage is noticed, nozzles shall be fixed and grouting carried out. (WPC shall be measured and paid separately).

(d) All junctions points of side wall where CI/ GI pipes are passing through shall be sealed with epoxy putty.

(e) After drying putty, wash the slab and sides of sunken portion with water and make it clear and clean.

(f) Material and labour for applying two coats of polymer modified cementious water proof coating as per manufactures instruction to bottom and vertical sides up to finished floor level+100mm height. The thickness of two layer shall be 1mm. When the second layer is still sticky, coarse sand spray shall be carried for the vertical and bottom surface of the sunken portion all as specified and directed (This item shall be pleasured and paid separately)

(g) Plaster the bottom and sides up to bottom of the skirting with minimum 20mm thick CM 1:4 mixed with integral water proofing compound 3% by wt of cement consumed as per manufacturers specification including rounding of corners and junctions sloping towards spout. (WPC shall be measured & paid separately).

(h) Material and labour for PCC 1:5:10 type E2, complete all as specified

(j) Material and labour for PCC 1:2:4 type B0 12.5mm thick, complete all as specified

Note :-( Item No 127 to 135) Test the water proof area (ponding test) by filling water for at least 72 hours and tested for leakage, seepage to the entire satisfaction of GE. Test shall be done in presence of reps of Engineer-in-Charge. The treatment shall be carried out by authorised applicator of chemicals. Cost of testing is included in the unit quoted rate above.

Supply Only integral water proofing compound complete all as specified and as directed. Make:-Dr. Fixit Pidi Proof and equivalent.

Note for item No 138 :- The work shall be carried out by authorised and qualified applicators of the above mentioned manufacturer.
