Modernisation of the exsisting Bharat Bijlee (OEM) 8 Passenger Lift ,544 kgs @01 mtr/sec speed (G+5 Floor, Bldg Nos- P-4 & P-5 ) by supply, install, testing, commissioning and handing over in satisfactory working condition with the same capacity ,speed and operation in and including servicing / routine maintenance / over hauling by using the existing lift shaft, main motor drive, gear box, car frame, counterweights, governor, brake, guide rails including replacement and provision of the following accessories :- Note : The contractor should visit the site to assess the exact scope of work prior to quoting the tender. CONTROLLER (LCB ) : Microprocessor based LSVF closed loop controller with VVVF drive for existing duty load, speed stops and simplex full collective operation with incorporation of features like. Auto Rescue Device (ARD), energy efficiency, non fire lifts, enclosure meeting with the standards of EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatability), Automatic by-pass, overload device, Automatic self levelling, Alarm bell/buzzer, Anti Nuisance, new reference system in hoist ways suitable for the new LSVF controller including magnets, cams and limit switches with mounting accessories and protection as per IS. LIFT CAR CABIN : a) Car roof, provided with a car top rail / balustrade and suitable warning notice for fall hazard. b) Car cabin enclosures and false ceiling match with existing size, capacity with stainless steel (SS304) hairline finish or / and stainless Steel (SS 304) Scratch resistant finish and flooring with granite and design as approved by Garrison Engineer. c) Noiseless pressure fan or blower provided in lift cabin with supply grill matching with the interior of the cabin. d) Recess mounted LED lighting and in addition to normal lighting an emergency light unit using sealed Nickel/cadmium Maintenance free battery power pack with charger and LED lamp to operate automatically and to illuminate the car for minimum 30 minutes in case of power failure. e) Hand rails fabricated with polished stainless steel at height and locations suitable for physically challanged passengers. ) SS mirror finish scratch resistant cabin enclosures at least one third of the size at middle portion on rear panel throughout the heigt of the cabin. CAR OPERATING PANEL (G + 5 - 01 Set) : Flush type Stainless Steel "car operating panel" with the following devices:- a) Bank of call buttons corresponding to landings served. Tactile braille LED illuminated buttons and tonal contrast to the COP & car panels with soft operation. b) Alarm button provided with a yellow pictogram to indicate the alarm button provision. c) Fan / blower switch, Door open , Door Close button. d) The main floor / exit floor push button, protruded 5mm beyond the other floor buttonswith illumination. e) "Up" & "Down" direction indicators indicating travel direction. f) Key operated switch for "attendant" and "Automatic" operation. g) Overload panel along with audio/visual direction. h) Door hold button, which extends normal door open period by up to 30 seconds. The extended time can be cancelled by actuation of door close button. j) 16 segment type LED based / scrolling digital car position indicator with LED/LCD illumination indicating the landing at which the car is stopped or passing. k) Hall buttons combined with digital position indicator with SS hairline finish face plate suitable for simplex full collective operation at lobby floor of all landings. CAR & LANDING DOORS (G + 5 - 01 Set) : a) The landing doors complete with headers, sills, frames etc as required and entrances for lifts, protected by automatic power operated, center opening, horizontal sliding doors with finishing matching with car stainless steel (SS 304) Scratch resistant finish all as per IS. b) Positive acting door drive powered by an AC motor rigidly connectd to the door & controlled by a VVVF unit and simultaneously open and the car and landing doors and maintan the doors fully open or closed at each landing (G+5 floor), suitable for Attendent/Automatic operation and smooth opening of door without any jerk and closing of door without any banging noise, mounted on steel members forming part of the car sling. c) A multiple beam full height infrared electronic door detector, to regulate the closing motion of the doors for entry of the passengers. d) Each landing door (PAX PRIMA), to be provided with an interlock, to prevent the movement of the car away from the landing until the doors are locked in the closed position with an electric contact for the door to prevent car movement away from the landing unless the door is in fully closed position e) The car and the landing doors are to be provided with two point suspension sheave type hangers complete with tracks. Sheaves and rollers of steel with moulded nylon collar and shielded ball bearings and the tracks of suitable steel section with smooth surface. Make:- Genesis/Wittur/Mass Punching

DRIVING SHEAVES, GOVERNOR ROPES AND SUSPENSION ROPES: a) Self lubricated, round standard steel wire ropes manufactured from high grade steel and special flexible material matching with the existing number and size of the hoist way ropes with the existing driving sheaves (530 dia 4 grooves, 13mm dia rope) having the combined breaking strength calculated with factor of safety including necessary servicing of the driving sheaves and replacement of worn out parts if any as per site requirement. b) The end of the lift ropes properly secured to the car and counter weight hitch plates as the case may be with adjustable rope shackles having individual tapers babbit sockets and with a suitable shackle spring, seat washer, shackle nut, lock & shackle nut split pin or any other suitable arrangement. VOICE SYNTHESIZER: Digital type capable of site programming, giiving a choice of background music (with option at site to choose or reject) and capable of providing messages of Arrival at the floor & its designation in English Language.

HOISTWAY HARNESS AND TRAVELLING CABLES : a) New hoist way harness and travelling cables suitably suspended to relive strains in individual conductors suitable for LSVF closed loop controller and fixtures, run from a junction box on the top of the car to a junction box located in the shaft bear mid point of travel and from these junction boxes conductors run to the various locations. b) Travelling cables shall be proivided for signals, controls, lights, fans, alarms, bell, emergency circuit and music etc. and 10 percent of the total capacity as spare. PIT LADDERS & SWITCHES : a) Fixed pit ladders between the bottom landing and the pit floor, safe from all falling hazards. b) Two pit stop switches, with mushroom red head (it shall be locked off when pushed and reset manually) one at bottom landing level in the shaft and the other on the pit (First stop switch shall be accessible from the lower landing on opening of the landing door and the second switch from the pit floor), which, when in the STOP position, shall prevent any movement of the lift car including movement during inspection operation, until both the switches are set in the run POSITION. c) Terminal Limit Switches, to slow down and stop the car automatically at the terminal landings and final limit switches to automatically cut off power should the car travel beyound the terminal landings. d) Fireman switch at lobby floor. e) Safety operated switch. f) intercom. NOTE : The rate quoted shall be inclusive of the following :- (i) Material and labour for disconnecting, dismantling and removing lift machine unit complete from the foundation and transporting to workshop for rewinding the motor using existing size of best quality copper winding wire including varnishing and in and including complete overhauling lift machine unit complete by replacing the Thrust plate bearing, Pedestal bearing, Motor bush bearing , Oil seal , complete painting with two coats of enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer and taken back to the site for reinstallation and testing complete for entire satisfaction of Garrison Engineer.

(ii) Dismantling of the complete items to be replaced, dismantling, servicing and refixing including allignment, replacement of worn out parts, greasing and lubrication of the existing items to be used, balancing of counter weights etc. (iii) Additional safety aspects for machine room (First Aid Box, CO2 / foam based fire hydrant, cylinders, Danger plates, rubber mats in front of each controller, Electric shock treatment charts and any other safety item that may be required by the state Govt authority) and in the lift car including lift identification plates and DO's AND DONT's plates made of SS with engraved letters in English language as directed. (iv) Any civil structural damage or changes if any to walls/floors/ceilings/doors that the contractor may cause during work process will have to be rectified to its original form at his own cost, risk and responsibility. (v) Painting of all lift metal work with one shop coat of rust inhibiting paint in the factory and painted with finishing coats on site. (vi) Civil works involving fixing landing operating panel, landing fascia, guide rails, sills, limit switches, embedding in sall etc, complete. (vii) The charges for obtaining Lift fitness certificate for a period of minimum five to ten years from the Lift Inspector of the Karnataka State. (viii) The contractor has to submit a registration details with Karnataka lift inspecting authority before commencement of the work on the ground.
