M&L for preparing old black top surfaces of road by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, applying evenly a tack coat of Catonic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) conforming to IS ; 8887 at a rate of application of 0.2-0.3 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013 , using mechanical sparyar after cleaning of existing surface as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for providing bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete (design mix) 30 mm (30 mm thick as per zonal specification ) consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix, with using paving bitumen VG-30 laid / spread uniformly by means of pavers over primed black top surfaces, rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete with 8 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note : Filling of any pot holes (coming in the area to be re-carpeted) in the item not exc 30mm depth by material of premix asphaltic semi dense concrete is deemed to be included in the quoted rate.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces in area exc 400 sqm each and depth exc. 50 mm but n. exc 100 mm deep complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for 7.5cm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregates of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber required (of grading as specified) type of stone granite/trap /basalt and including screening with moorum, watered, consolidated and compacted each layer separately to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonne power roller complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Premix bituminous, macadam laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) using 4% paving bitumen bu weight or totsl mix complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L in repair Stone kerb of lime or sand stone roughly squared stones of size 20cm x 30cm, all surfaces hammer dressed so that the maximum depression from a straight edge held against the dressed surface shall not exceed 20mm jointed in cement mortar 1:6 and struck flush complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for preparing bituminuos surface of road and marking 2.5 mm thick center line, stop lines, dashes, arroows etc. and the like n.exc 10cm wide on road pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.

M&L for stone sett flooring with stone setts of size 200 to 250mm long, 150 to 200mm wide and 150mm deep and sides dressed, bedded in CM 1:3 joints 20mm thick, grouted in CM 1:2 with an admixture of metallic floor hardner 5% by weight of cement and stuck flush complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge.
