Supply of 30m Hot dip galvanised, polygonal high masts with fixed head frame/cross arms suitable for mounting up to 22 nos of LED Flood lights . The height of the mast from base to top of head frame shall be 30 mtrs including 5 Mtr head frame and manrider as per specifications mentioned in Technical bid. The mast should be designed considering base gust wind speed of 47m/s or as per IS 875 and thickness of GI coating should withstand at the speed of 47m/s. Price shall include suitable 1.2m Lightning Arrestor as per requirement and 4 nos of LED Aviation Light. The Mast should also have comprehensive arrangement of motorised climbing mechanism (man rider) cage unit for accessing the head frame for repair / maintenance purpose with all safety arrangement like free fall arrester / overload protection etc.The mobile man rider unit which shall be common to all four masts with a minimum safe load carrying capacity of 300Kgs and sufficient space for carrying two persons with tools and at least one LED Light. Design, supply and casting of suitable shallow foundation with M-15 concrete for the High Mast with specification above. The foundation has to be designed as per safe soil bearing capacity (any soil testing if required shall be covered within the scope). Description

Bidders are advised to inspect and examine the site and its surroundings and satisfy themselves before submitting their tenders. Site conditions, means of access to the site, the accommodation etc and in general shall themselves obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies etc which may influence or affect their work directly/indirectly. A bidder shall be deemed to have full knowledge of the site whether he inspects it or not and no extra charges consequent on any misunderstanding or otherwise shall be allowed.

All necessary safety precautions as per Indian/international standard will be bidders scope during execution of work till hand overing the site to HAL. Personnel engaged by the contractor must be experienced in executing similar job.

In case any item not mentioned in the BOQ, but essentially required to complete the work will be bidders scope without any extra cost. Hence bidders may visit the site or same may bring in notice of the CM (Maint.) in writing before quote, otherwise it will be assumed that bidders have understood the scope of work in all respect. Bidder has to work in close coordination with Civil activties to avoid any delay of other party.

Required tools and tackles to carry out the work will be bidders scope. As the work is required to execute at height, ladders/scaffolding/safety belt etc is to be arranged by bidders on his own. The bidder shall be responsible for arranging and maintaining at own cost all materials, tools and plants, facilities for workers and all other services required for the execution of the work unless otherwise specifically provided for in the contract documents.

Submission of tender by a bidder implies that he has read this notice and all other contract documents and has made himself aware of the scope and specification of the work to be done and of conditions and rates at which stores, tools and plants etc. if any will be issued to him by HAL and local conditions and other factors having a bearing on the execution of the work. The bidder must also study the neighbourhood, rules and regulations for building as well as the area where it is situated.

The contractor who is quoting the tender shall get themselves well versed with the site condition. The contractor should be well versed with all the activity and should have specialized team of workers for the same.

Defect Liability Period: The workmanship will be guaranteed for one year from the date of completion of work and handing over of site. Any defect observed during the period shall be repaired by contractor without any extra cost. Retention money @5% from bills shall be recovered and shall be paid upon successful completion of defect liability period.

In case of items not covered by the tendered specification, the work should be carried out as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Approval of the Engineer-in-Charge shall be taken well in advance for the materials to be used in the work by the contractor. All items used shall be of premium quality/brand.

All repairs and patch work shall be neatly carried out to match with the original finish and to the entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Electricity shall be chargeable under the contract.

Work is to be done as per relevant Indian standard (IS).

Damages made during the contract has to be made good as Original.

Costing should include transportation of materials from HAL Store to site & scrap items (if any) to store/garbage area.

Period of execution shall be 6 months after providing clearance to work on site. Agreement shall be submitted by the successful bidder as mentioned in the technical bid.

Warranty: Standard Manufacturer warranty or a minimum of defect liability period, whichever is higher.
