Material and labour for Earthing complete with Galvanised steel earth plate electrode 600 x 600 x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground (in vertical position) earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr below normal ground level with the top edge of the earth plate not less than 1.5 m below ground level and connected to GI earth strip 32 x 6mm by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts, and washers of galvanized iron including PCC pit & cover with suitable handle, including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil, 20 mm dia medium grade galvanized steel tube for watering with one end fixed with suitable funnel and wire mesh, 40 mm bore medium grade galvanized steel tubing for drawing earth lead GI strip protection & common salt, charcoal in alternate layers etc. complete all as shown in EP No 3 of SSR Part 1 and testing on completion complete all as specified and as directed.
NOTES: On completion of the work/job the Contractor is to perform earth resistance tests for each earthing job in the presence of the Engineer-In-Charge or his rep & submit test certificates duly signed & certified. If the test results are not satisfactory or not within the permissible limits of relevant Standards/IS then the job is to be redone without any extra cost to the Department till the results are satisfactory.
