Excavation in trenches not exceeding 1.5 metre deep and not exceeding 1.5 metre wide and getting out in hard/dense soil for laying cable, foundation for pole etc complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in soil including providing cable cushioning with riddled earth obtained from excavation, leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25cm thick over the cushion layer all as specified and directed.

Removing of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above the starting point all as specified and directed.

M & L for brick protection to cable using old size sub class 'B' bricks, laid flat, dry butt jointed, laid lengthwise perpendicular to the axis of cable all as specified and directed.

Relaying of old serviceable bricks of any size removed from old cable trenches laid across trenches for cable protection all as specified and directed.

M&L for plain cement concrete 1:3:6, type C1, using 20 mm graded stone aggregate as in foundation/ coping of poles including necessary form work and finishing the exposed concrete surfaces even and fair all as specified and directed

M&L for Straight through joints suitable for 3.5/4 core PVC insulated and PVC sheathed armoured LT underground cable with aluminium conductors including joint kits complete for making joints all as specified and as directed for the following : - Make :- Raychems / Densons / M-Seal /Birla-3M / CCI / Siemen

M&L for Separating pick and stacking stone aggregate spread in the installation yard of transformer/two/four pole structure aside for reuse cleaning surface free from vegetation, grass etc.., all as specified and directed.

Supply and spread 20/40mm graded stone aggregate as approved quality for installation yard all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting, removing the vegetation growth and surface dressing all around the installation yard including 4/2 pole structure area to keep the installation area (external only) clean and tidy all as specified and directed. Note :- All the sub station yards shall be kept clean through out the contract period by repeatedly removing the grass/ however weeds as and when ordered by Engineer-in-charge depending on the growth of the grass, however this item shall be measured and paid only once during entire contract period.

M&L for cutting chases on concrete surfaces for concealed GI tubing/HDPE pipe, girth exceeding 10 cm but not exceeding 20 cm ,making good to facing and disturbed surface in cement morter 1:3 and finished as per existing all as specified and directed.

Taking out the existing LT UG cable of any description of following size to find out the fault and re-laying the serviceable LT UG cable 1100 Volts grade PVC insulated PVC sheathed amoured, heavy duty, in trenches/walls/poles/passing through pipes with multistranded aluminium conductor including necessary lugs/thimble/ferules connection, testing and commissioning complete all as specified. Note: [a] Earth work, excavation sand cushioning, bricks for protection, GI pipe, LT UG Cable Joints etc shall be measured separately under relevant items of this schedule . [b] Defective portion of cable shall be removed, serviceable cable shall be re-laid and balance with new LT U/G cable .(C) New LT UG cable shall be measured and paid as Supply only LT UG cable under schedule /BOQ item No 26 of this schedule.

M&L for painting the existing steel tubular LT poles, 9m long including cross arms, channels, angle iron support, bracings, clamps etc. with two coats of aluminum paint superior quality of approved make on surfaces exposed to view and making 30cm wide strips (Total 5 Nos) with white and black paint alternately on external surface above PCC benching including preparation of old painted surfaces by scraping etc complete all as specified & directed.

M&L for cutting, trimming and prunning of trees/tree branches of any girth upto 4m all around existing LT/HT over head lines including cleaning the disturbed area beneath the LT/HT overhead lines and removing the tree/ tree branches and debris from at site and depositing where directed at site. Note: (a) This item shall be measured and paid only once during entire contract period , however each span of LT over head line shall be clear from tree branch growth through out the contract period seperately. (b) Cutting trimming, prunning of tree / branches shall be carried out as and when ordered by Engineer-in-chrage depending on growth of tree (c) Approximate span between poles shall be 45m to 60m.

Taking down old serviceable conductors any description and re-stringing/ tightening of ACSR conductor (size- squirrel/ weasel/ ferret) / GI earth continuity conductor/ cradle up to the permissible sag limit between any span length and binding the with new binding wire of the same materiel to insulators all as specified and as directed. Note :Approximate span between poles shall be 45m to 60m.

M&L for pin type insulator, porcelain, vitreous, white, brown or green insulator of size 100 mm height, 65 mm dia for 1100 volts grade, including one galvanised mild steel spindle, two galvanised iron washers and one galvanised iron bolt including taking out the old unserviceable insulator and making good the all as specified and as directed.

M&L for removing old/burnt out jumper connection in binding with HT/LT lines from position including re-binding the same with new binding wire of size 3.25mm aluminium wire all as specified and directed.
