Preparing of existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces by air compressor to remove all loose dust/dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat of paving bitumen grade Vg-10 @ 5 Kg per 10 Sqm and laying bituminous premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (Gde-II), 30 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content (bitumen grade VG-30) by weight of total mix in hot mix plant, laid with mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform smooth surface with 12 tonnes articulated tandem roller (Double drum vibratory roller) and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) The mix shall be mixed in hot mix plant and laid with mechanical paver only. (ii) The mix shall be prepared by designing through job mix formula all as specified from Govt. engg college / Govt approved lab/HBTI. (iii) No price adjustment for Bitumen shall be done for variation on plus side. (iv) Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete will be comprising of 2% filler material (OPC 43 grade cement). (v) Cost of testing chrages, material & transportation for job mix formula shall be deemed included in the rate quoted.
M&L for repair to pot holes depth not exc. 30 mm, area n.exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths etc, cutting around edges at least 25 mm in depth, making good by applying tack coat with paving bitumen VG-10 @ 5 kg per 10 Sqm (using mechanical sprayers only) and putting in bituminous premixed semi dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with minimum 5.5% binder content (bitumen grade VG-30) by weight of total mix in hot mix plant, rolled to a uniform smooth surface with 8-12 tonnes articulated tandem roller (Double drum vibratory roller) and compacted to required camber and gradient complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for premix bituminous macadam ("Grade II" as specified in MORTH specification Para 504), laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 50-75mm) using paving bitumen VG-30 grade as binder minimum 4% by weight to total mix, mixed in hot mix plant and laid by mechanical paver and rolled to a uniform smooth surface and rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber with 8-12 tonnes articulated tandem roller (Double drum vibratory roller) complete all as specified and directed.
M & L cleaning bituminous/concrete road surface free from all dirt, dust and other foreign material etc. and applying 2mm thick hot thermoplastic retro reflective road marking paint of white/yellow colour as in strips/lines on road surfaces upto 150 mm width and including glass beads @ 0.45 kg/sqm. The hot application shall be carried out mechanically and the finished surface to be levelled uniform and free from staks and holes complete all as specified in MORTH clause 803.4 and as directed.
M&L for preparation of surfaces of roads, bituminous rigid, pavement, flexible pavings, aprons and the like exceeding 10 cm width or girth as in lines dashes, arrows, letters etc and applying with one coat of aqua based road making paint of tint white or golden yellow or Orange or as required at site complete all as specified and directed.
M&L Preparation of old painted concrete surface of any description over 10 cm width or girth not otherwise described as in kerb stone and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint complete all as specified and directed.
M&L cutting old DAC pavement approximately 125-175 mm thick with mechanical with trolley mounted arrangement using diamond blade as required at site complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Scarifying or picking old DAC surface in area exc 400 sqm thickness 125 mm using mechanical means and removing extracted material to outside MOD land complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surface in area exceeding 400 sqm and depth exceeding 50 mm and not exceeding 100 mm deep and removing extracted material to outside MOD land complete all as specified and directed.
Applying evenly a tack coat of Bitumen VG-10 grade conforming to IS: 73 at a rate of application of 0.30 to 0.40 kg/sqm on bituminous surface as specified in Table 500-5 of MoRTH specification for road and bridge works 2013, using mechanical sprayer complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
M&L for Premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC) of grading I 75 mm thick (consolidated thickness) using PMB-40 (PMB to be used shall be with minimum 85% elastomeric recovery & softening point 75 degree. Elastomeric Thermoplastic SBS based (IS : 15462 -2004) confirming to IRC SP-53-2002) made out of polymers and using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 with 5.75 % minimum binder content and min 2% cement filler mixed by weight of total mix as wearing course, with minimum marshal stability as 1200 KG using hot mix plant and laid and compacted complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
M&L for Premix Dense Asphaltic Concrete (DAC) of grading II 50 mm thick (consolidated thickness) with minimum Marshal stability as 1400 Kg in single layer using PMB-40 (PMB to be used shall be with minimum 85% elastomeric recovery & softening point 75 degree. Elastomeric Thermoplastic SBS based (IS : 15462 -2004) confirming to IRC SP-53 2019 made out of polymers and bitumen of grade VG-30 with minimum binder content 6% minimum binder content and min 2% cement filler mixed by weight of total mix as wearing course using hot mix plant and laid and compacted complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
M&L for Premix Dense Bituminous macadam DBM grade I of thickness required at site using paving bitumen min 4.5% binder content by weight of total mix (minimum marshall stability 900 kg) with paving bitumen of grade VG-30 using hot mix plant and laid and compacted complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Note applicable for item no. 7 to 13: (i) Time for execution may be night time according to timing provided by ATC.Contractor shall quote their rates accordingly and nothing extra shall be payable to the contractor on this account. (ii) contractor will arrange his own arrangement of electricity by portable generator for machinery execution.
M&L for 150mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM (in two layer each of 7.5 cm) with coarse agg granite trap or basalt of grading 2 (63 mm to 40 mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size) spread, rolled and consolidated to gradient and camber reqd by power roller exc 8 ton and n exc 12 tonne complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
M&L Forming 25 mm width expansion joint in concrete slab for full depth of PQC. Early entry saw and subsequent cutting by using diamond bit cutter of appropriate size. straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil, vegetation and other debris. The joint then filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board as specified thereafter application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Placing of closed cell medium density, crossed linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia, over filler board and filled with polyurethane based sealant complying with BS5212, BS 4254 and EN-141875-2003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of+/- 30% having minimum 10 year performance guarantee applying masked tape on the edges of joints and removing the masking tape after filling of sealant as per the method specified by the manufacture complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge. Note: In addition to performance guarantee, contractor shall submit FDR for 10 years amounting to 10% of total value of this item based on contract rate.
M&L Racking out of old existing sealant compound and back up rod of the existing joints by special tools like cutting blades/machines, widening of joints by 2 mm by using joint cutting blades of appropriate size straight and smooth edges. Joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air. Joint shall be made dry, vacuum cleaned and free of dirt, oil vegetation and other debris Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pacing the backup rod and pouring the sealant. Thereafte filled with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 8 mm dia fo complete length of the joint, over it to be filled with polyurethane joint sealant meeting the requirements mentioned in BS-5212, BS 4254 and EN-1418752003 with minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) of +/- 30 complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
Labour only for preparing old black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with using mechanical air blower to remove all loose dirt and foreign materials etc. and applying one coat of Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) @ 0.60 litre (undiluted) . The PME shall be applied on bituminous surfaces by using self propelled bitumen emulsion sprayer or towed bitumen emulsion pressure sprayer equipped for spraying the binder and mopping the area and ensure uniform finish of bituminous surface complete all as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge. (a)The Polymer modified Emulsion (PME) shall be measured and paid seperatly under serial item No 18 given here in after. (b) All the labour element and equipment / machinary for application of PME under this item shall deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. (c) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator of the manufacturer only as approved by GE in writing. (d) Special care shall be taken to fill gaps/cracks up to 3mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's insturctions and quoted rate shall deemed to be included for repair of gaps/cracks.
Supply only Polymer Modified Emulsion (PME) having penetration value 10-20 mm and initial setting time of 4 to 5 hours but not more than 8 Hours complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer in Charge.
